greenbrier until tomorrow. >> ♪ >> live from the cbs broadcast center in philadelphia, this is cbs3 "eyewitness news". >> a body on fire. that's what workers discovered early this morning in bridesburg and now police are working to unravel this murder mystery as they put the pieces together. philadelphia police are investigateing that gruesome discovery as a homicide at this hour. good evening, i'm natasha brown. thanks for joining us am "eyewitness news" reporter alycia nieves joins us live outside of the facility where the body was actually discovered. alycia. >> reporter: well, natasha, authorities believe the person who was killed and then set on fire was shot at least eight times. now, workers just find me did make the gruesome discovery this morning in this lot just in front of the facility. now, this lot is far away from the main road and almost all the way around is covered by overgrown trees not to mention in the wee hours of the morning it would have been dark back here. there's almost no lighting in the area. police were called to this northeast philadelphia recycling and garbage facility around 5:30 this morning for a gruesome discovery. workers here told authorities they had heard what sounded like fireworks going off around 3:45 a.m. it wasn't until about an hour later that a truck driver pulling up to the quick transfer station along east orthodox street saw something burning in the lot. the truck driver tried to extinguish and then realized what was on fire appeared to be a man's body. eight gun shell casings were found near the body and witnesses at the time reported seeing a sedan fleeing the area shortly after the flames were spotted. this gruesome discovery in this neighborhood has some residents wanting more security here. >> i'm not surprised but all this empty land in the back here, you know, you can pretty much do anything back here. it's not much security, police are nonexistent in this area. they do come around its very infrequent. >> reporter: and police say by the time the workers here were able to put out the fire, the body had been burned beyond recognition. there was an i.d. found next to the charred remains but authorities are still working at this hour to see if that i.d. is the victim. reporting live in northeast philadelphia t-alycia nieves, cbs3 "eyewitness news." >> alisa thanks. a man is dead after police say he crashed his motorcycle into the back of a truck this afternoon. it happened just after 3:00 at 17th and the parkway. officers say the 27-year-old motorcycle rider was doing wheel stands at the time of the crash. the rider was transported to hahnemann hospital where he was pronounced dead. no word on the condition of the driver of the truck. also two people were injured in an early morning crash on route 130 in pennsauken. police say the car knocked down a utility pole and smashed into a gas station just before 5:00 a.m. two people were transported to cooper university hospital in this case. and eight people are left homeless tonight after a building collapse in feltonville. it happened friday afternoon on the 100 block of west rockland street near roosevelt boulevard. the second floor collapsed onto the first floor and the first floor fell into the basement trapping a mother and her young child. one person was transported to einstein hospital. the american red cross is providing emergency assistance to those who have been displaced. the building has been boarded up and is ready for demolition. also police are investigating after three people are shot in the city's strawberry mansion section. two of the victims are teenagers. police tell us a 17-year-old boy was struck in the right thigh and the shoulder. a 15-year-old boy was shot in the leg. they're both in stable condition. officers also tell us the 25-year-old man was shot in the back and he is currently critical. meantime president trump spent his day in more meetings as the g20 summit concludes. now he's on his way home after talking trade and also talking north korea today. correspondent wendy gillette has more from new york. >> reporter: president trump headed home saturday after a whirlwind g20 summit in hamburg, germany. the president met with more world leaders before his departure. one day after his first face-to-face meeting with russian president vladimir putin which lasted more than two hours. saturday's meetings included a one and a half hour sit-down with china's president where north korea was on the agenda. >> as far as north korea is concerned, i know we'll have a success may take longer than i'd like, may take longer and that you'd like but there will be success in the end. >> reporter: the communist country also dominated discussions with japan's prime minister after north korea's first successful test of an intercontinental ballistic missile. >> prime minister is i will say this very, very focused on what's going on with respect to north korea. >> reporter: world leaders announced their commitment to the paris climate change accord despite president trump's decision to pull out. >> i urge president trump to rejoin the paris. the uk's commitment in tackling climate change is as strong as ever. >> reporter: thousands of demonstrators against the g20 marched peacefully saturday. a contrast to a couple nights of violent protests by a group of anarchists. saturday from air force one, president trump tweeted his praise of the summit and its host, german chancellor angela merkel. wendy gillette for cbs3 "eyewitness news." >> russian president putin held a news conference today and said he thinks president trump believed him when he denied meddling in the u.s. presidential election. video of ivanka trump attending a woman's event in hamburg, germany. ivanka is drawing criticism for briefly taking her father's seat during a meeting with other world leaders during the summit. she was photographed sitting next to chinese president. a senior trump administrator confirmed ivanka trump had stepped in for her father and said it wasn't improper or unusual. still ahead on "eyewitness news" shia labeouf in and trouble with the law morning today. officers charged him with public drunkenness disorderly and conduct and destruction. labeouf is in georgia filming a movie called the peanut butter falcon. robert kardashian in trouble with the law. the brother of the famous l.a. family is dealing with a temporary restraining order after he went on an online rant about ex-girlfriend black chyna. kardashian tweeted graphic photos of china including nude pictures and his account was shut down. chyna says she plans to appear in court. the bull and the boys all former phillies were cooking up delicious barbecue today all for great cause. greg the bull luz sun ski john kruk mike schmidt and dickie green participated in the cook off. the bull may have had a leg up though on the competition. he owns a bull's barbecue right across from citizens bank park. >> obviously i like to eat it. it's very good but i've always had a great time barbecuing even when i was a player and i continued it and a fortunate enough to be across the >> we're tracking a couple of showers and thundershowers and i'll show that you but take a live look right now at beach patrol headquarters in margate. there's some people still enjoying the beach, they're packing up, some of them heading inside for the night but man it was a gorgeous beach day and a warm one with that that land breeze kicking up high temperatures in the 80's. 87 degrees, that was the official high temperature in philadelphia today. that is perfectly seasonable for this time of year. now take a look at storm scan3. we are tracking a couple of showers and a couple of rumbles of thunder so some thundershowers located just north and west of philadelphia. some making their way into the lehigh valley, lancaster, berks counties. we could see a thundershower through about 8, 9 o'clock tonight and then the threat for showers and storms is going to be completely over things quieting down overnight and especially as we head into your sunday. look at these temperatures across the region. we're in the 70's and 80's, some rain cooled air in allentown, 78 degrees there. it's 86 degrees in philadelphia. 85 in wilmington. 83 in millville. it's 85 wildwood. right now around 86 degrees down the shore in atlantic city. dewpoints are going to go significantly down as we head into your sunday. so, right now they're still checking in in the mid 60's so humidity is still noticeable but it's looking much, much better as we head into tomorrow, it's going to feel very comfortable by the afternoon with those dewpoints in the 50's. so, you couple that with sunny skies, you have warm temperatures, low humidity and a light breeze out of the north and west tomorrow it's going to be a practically perfect top 10 day for your sunday. make sure you take advantage of it and spend as much of it outside as you can. it's all thanks to this big area of high pressure that's going to be completely in control throughout the day on sunday providing us with this northwest flow. pulling in some drier air and also some more refreshing air compared to what we have seen over the past few days. that means your shorecast is looking fantastic. on sunday, high temperature 79 degrees sunny and completely gorgeous down the shore. plenty of sunshine on tap for monday with a high of 80 degrees. on tuesday we bring back that chance for an isolated shower or thunderstorm with a high around 82 degrees. take a look at your forecast for tonight. we're mostly clear, calm and comfortable we're dropping down finally below 70 degrees. remember last night we were in the 70's so it will feel much better overnight tonight with an overnight low temperature of 67 degrees. as we head into tomorrow, we're sunny and beautiful with lower humidity and we'll see a high temperature right around 85 degrees. so, we're dry all the way through the first half of monday. then things start to turn a little bit more unsettled and with that unsettled weather we are also talking about higher heat heading our way so by tuesday we're looking at a forecast high temperature right around 93 degrees. for your wednesday, 91. we will be dropping back down into the 80's as we head into the start of next weekend but we will run the risk for some showers and thunderstorms along the way starting monday evening. >> all right. thank you. >> tomorrow. >> beautiful. >> lovely. thank you so much. in mobile alabama says their 10-year-old son really is a hero. grayson wilkinson was buckled into the back seat of his family's car alongside his little brother when their suv was hit by a fedex truck and flipped. the little boy was unable to unbuckle his belt and free his little brother who was trapped. >> i undid my seat belt and so i flew to the roof of the car and i -- with this arm i held him up and then with this arm i undid the latches and got him out. >> very brave. a number of good samaritans who ran out of a nearby restaurant helped the rest of the wilkinson family get to safety. we'll be right back. >> ♪ >> well, finally tonight it took several people to rescue a family of ducklings in green bay wisconsin. 10 little fuzzy babies became flapped a storm drain friday. officials say they came to the rescue when the mother duck came quacking up to a woman at a nearby courthouse. the rescue was no easy feat. at least five of the babies ran into a smaller pipe before being pulled to safety. the babies and the momma duck were later reunited by animal control. how smart. the momma duck was looking out for her little babies. so cute. one last check of the forecast. >> some
