We have the scatter flurries, weve had the blustery winds. Finally over even the last couple of hours the breeze has started to wane. Weve lost that but unfortunately were going to have to look a lot harder for some sunshine and today it was hard to find and temperatures they struggled. We topped off right around average though in philadelphia but certainly 41 degrees. That feels chilly when youre out. 31 the High Temperature in allentown, only made it into the 20s today in the poconos getting a live look at Center City Philadelphia skyline looking nice but it is chilly. 37 degrees but wind down have let up out of the southwest at around 3 Miles Per Hour so no wind chill impact right now. I think temperatures are cold enough. 34 degrees in allentown, 35 in reading. Were down to 37 degrees in a. C. Now all of our reporting sites save maybe mount pocono the breeze has finally subsided and as we head throughout the overnight period well be experiencing less wind so in your hour by hour forecast through this evening temperatures stay pretty stable with some low clouds lingering around, partly to mostly cloudy conditions. Were still at about 34 degrees by midnight but that really hasnt been the trend for january so far. Average temperatures in philadelphia have been running above average so about 6 degrees above average our highest temperature 67 degrees but quite the temperature swing because our coldest temperature was 12 degrees this month but we are going to err on the side of the colder pattern as we head into the next several days really throughout the duration of next week. The jet stream stays to our south so it allows cold canadian air to stay settled in in our backyard. It will continues into next week with temperatures near average so were talking about upper 30s and low 40s and we will have several weak systems moving through that will bring us several chances of a few flakes although we could see some very light measurable snow as we head tomorrow night into early monday. Tomorrow, though on that west to northwesterly flow we could see scattered flurries once again. Sunday night into early monday we have a chance of seeing areas of light snow mainly in center city and points southward. Then on tuesday maybe a light rain and or snow shower. Storm scan3 showing us quieting conditions cloud deck breaking up in some locations but we still have that same pattern that and lake effect snow and some of those flakes did sneak into Center City Philadelphia and south jersey through the day today and again tomorrow even though were going to have a lighter flow we could still see a few flurries moving in especially west of the i95 corridor but as we head into tomorrow night well have this weak clipper system building through. You may see light snow breaking out in the western suburbs across portions of south jersey late tomorrow night into early monday morning so for your Early Morning commute, we have that chance of some areas of light snow again mainly in the city points south and east. This is 7 oclock in the morning on monday and mainly east of the i95 corridor, well seal that light snow lingering along the coast as we head into the second half of the morning on monday. And then maybe some sunshine peeking out as we head into monday afternoon. So again we could see some accumulation but its going to be extremely light but it could hamper your commute especially in these areas monday morning seeing just about a dusting in the gfs and maybe close to an inch in the euro, so mainly on the grassy surfaces are we going to see any accumulation sunday night and into monday morning and for tonight partly cloudy less wind down to 32 degrees. For our day tomorrow much of the same mostly cloudy maybe flurries around brisk 42 degrees so winds not as gusty tomorrow. I guess thats the good news in the forecast. And then in the poconos we only top at 29 degrees tomorrow, some sunshine down the shore, a High Temperature at 46 degrees. And in your sevenday forecast, theres that chance of some Morning Light snow into monday. Otherwise a cold day, 36 degrees. The worry begins were a little bit milder up into the middle 40s on wednesday. And then finally a day of full sunshine ushered in by the little ground hog, that little devil there he is.
