showing up. not a concern in terms of precipitation. we have no concerns for precipitation actually for the majority of the forecast. still few clouds out there. they are higher up in the atmosphere. and it is actually when they are lower to the ground that they look a little bit more difficult to see here on saturday light. so, the fact that they are very visible, very white shade to that satellite means that they are in fact higher up in the atmosphere. but bottom line is you will see those thin out. eventually more and more sunshine. let's take a look back here in time. last 24 hours, and how we have since seen the temperatures fall. so, same time temperatures yesterday, five, seven, near 15 degrees, milder than they are now. in other words, you will definitely notice that it is colder when you walk out the door. and even though it is a very modest breeze, i have to tell you i feel it out here on the skydeck, definitely as a chill in the air when you feel that modest, west, 9-mile per hour breeze here, in philadelphia. so 29 degrees with west northwest breeze at 14 up in mount pocono, feeling awfully chilly. it is back to reality though, this is nothing atypical at all. just the perception so different, feels so much colder by comparison to recent days, guys, the sun will shine. it looks like it will do that towelly for quite a while. back to you. >> good news, on local bar. allege he was isis sympethizer. now, when it comes to the terror threat in germany, officials have not made any arrests, but we know additional office verse been called in there to help find possible suspects. jan, nicole? >> so many more things to think about these days, and don what do we know about the intelligence german officials released yesterday? >> they tried to track down the suspect, know the source came from one source, it was serious incredible, involved apparently between five and seven suicide attackers, hitting those train stations that were closed down at midnight last night. we just learned within the past hour, more than 500 officers have been brought in to track down possible suspect. still developing situation. >> don champion, live for just new york, thanks, don. new this morning, investigators are trying to pinpoint what started a house fire in burlington county. the two alarm fire damaged a home on plymouth drive and evesham township. everyone however able to get out unhurt. >> police officer suffered injuries in a crash overnight. >> this happened just before 1:30, buck road, glassboro, gloucester county. the officer's cruiser was the only car involved in this crash. the officer was taken to the hospital and is list in the stable condition. >> 6:10, december filled with warm weather, no businesslike snow business. how resorts >> community along the missus river south every saint lewis are bracing for the river to crest. >> floodwaters starting to reseed in some water logged communities. travel around saint lewis is getting more difficult. the flooding has killed at least 22 people, four others are missing, hundreds of homes are damaged, and hundreds more are evacuated. we are to the point now that the sandbagging, is not going to hold it backment we'll lose probably anywhere from 100 to 150 new homes will be affected by the flood it, not more. >> the mississippi neared record levels in many places, st. louis it peaked about seven and a half feet below the 1993 record. >> of course talking about our forecast here at home. and we're hearing that december had near record warmth. i thought it was across the board. >> absolutely, the entire month of december 2015 for philadelphia ended up reaking out above average levels here. let's go back over the calendar, i will step out of the way so you can see how things shook out here, and specifically, the days leading up to and actually through christmas holiday were the warmest we saw all month. christmas eve specially, 32 degrees above average that day. so we haven't actually gotten the relief just yet, but guarantee it will make the top five, will very likely be the warmest december that we've ever reported since records began. that's a big deal. now, storm scan3, at the moment, is pretty quietment granted some cloud cover still out there, but we will see that thin with time. high pressure large dome of it no less, really taking the lead back, and it is going to keep things nice and dry and clear for us. any hint of snow, you are going have to go pretty far north. we do have hint of lake enhancement down wind of lake erie and ontario as well as up across the lakes reek on. at this point majority of the united states just calm and quiet. that also bodes very well for obviously the flood affected areas here, along the major arteries of the mississippi river. rain falling down near the mouth of that very quiet weather unfolding for this area un us too. look at the nationwide, nationwide map. over the next couple of days any wet weather, snow, will peter out. we under up with some clearing skies, so there shouldn't be any casino of weather in that area, or here, for that matter, but nothing in that area that will aggravate the flood waters, although they are going to see those crest in the days ahead. bring it back to what is going on with our pattern. very calm, collected forecast, but also a lot more typical. temperatures are currently into the 30's many spots a lot cold the further inland you travel. but you got to minneapolis, down to the teens as well as in shy town low three's, lexington, and eventually little taste that far down the road here. for the moment though down the boardwalk, it is tranquil. at 40 degrees currently out at boardwalk plaza in rehoboth. even though we expect more than anything just a dose of reality the next few days, full sunshine for you, then reinforcing of shot of cold for monday, too, that means, guys, we won't break out of the 30's as we move forward. so expect. that will expect network talking generally mid to upper 30's right now, we expect to only tack few additional degrees on for daytime highs. hey, wall-to-wall sunshine is the expectation, again, still going to find couple of clouds out, there but it all bodes well down the road since guys we've had so many dreary and gloomy days as of late. nice long extended period hereof sunshine is on deck for us, and i think almost like the lockerroom of quaker city and over here right by the queen bee costume here, very elaborate sequin work, mirrors, rhinestones, feathers and the like. >> this will be worn by of course the queen of all insect, the queen bee, you see her down there, you will see that live, later on this morning, strutting south on broad, from city hall, where the judging will take place later this morning. this of course the 116th year of the mummers parade, and this is very much a big part of it. we've got comradery, family, friends, elaborate costumes, great make up, colors, all of the festivities that philadelphia rings the new year with every single year, this year will be no different. we do have 40 plus bands taking part. more than 10,000 or so participant, men, women, and children, taking part in this. we also have four new bands joining this year, among them, so it will be a year unlike any other, new differs bands of course the tradition of the old quaker city, back in 2014, they were first place takers, looking this year, to do it again, but you got a preview right now what you will see, it will be even better we are told once you see them live and in action or told hershey was his hostage. how much later when they stopped for gas she fled. >> jumped from the car at the gas at the pump, she tried to run around everywhere. she just is screaming outside. >> the suspect circled the gas station looking for the woman, then he finally took off and crashed near carlisle, where police took him into custody. the woman was not seriously injured. >> cleveland police are searching for the person who carjacked an elderly uber driver. the whole thing, also, caught on camera. police are looking for this man, the suspect apparently used stolen cell phone to sum on the uber to a gas station around 2:30 wednesday morning. seventy-five year old driver, morris doddson, and that suspect drove down the street, later pick up a woman. that's when the suspect robbed the driver. >> empty your pocket, and i said i don't have anything in there really. i got some change. and he said empty your pockets. and if you don't i'll mess you up. >> two suspect met up with a accomplice, then went on shopping spree with his credit card. dodson said i'll continue to drive but be much more careful go the fares he accepts. >> now, many people have been happen which the warm winter we've had so far. but the milder weather is taking a toll on ski resort in the poconos. it is a far cry from last year's snowy season. this winter many resorts are closed. but at jack frost ski resort they did manage to open one trail to skiers and snow boarders. >> we've had tough years where it has been warm, but never this warm continuously. this is the worse ever. >> now, web cams at blue mountain, camelback, spring mountain, and shawnee, all show snow less slopes, some reporting they lost 20% of business so far. but there is some good news. the colder temperatures are back, and there is a reinforcement coming in here if the form of arctic cold front. not very potent front when it comes to moisture, but it will send more after chill our way, so that sends temperatures, get
