at the wrong time. she was an innocent bystander. shot and killed by a stray bullet in the frankford section of philadelphia, and now, to make matters worse, this woman was also eight months pregnant, and doctors had hope they would save this child's life remaining in critical condition for much of the day yesterday, but we have learned this morning, that child has died overnight. this is the victim, 26 year old, megan doto, shot and killed in the frankford section of philadelphia, as she sat outside of her adams avenue home. police say she was watching her neighbors seven year old child when the gunfire errupted. it happened all around 11:00 in the morning yesterday. police say someone fired about dozen shots at an unknown target. doto sitting several hundred feet away, got caught in the crossfire, shot in the fails. she was returned to temple university temple university hospital where she died. doctors performed emergency c-section to save the baby's life. that baby remained in critical condition for much of the day yesterday but we're told the baby died overnight. meanwhile, police continue to investigate, interviewing witnesses, also questioned about three people on much? >> well it, showed that nine out of ten children, between six and 18 years of age, have about 3300 milligrams of sodium a day, which is a thought more than they should have every day, and the problem is that this could lead to long-term health effects in them, as they grow into adults. and i spent last night trying to add this up, ukee, natasha, this is about how much sodium the average kid has an in a year. ridiculous. >> my goodness. >> it comes from the foods we eat. that's even before the saltshaker. so there is can impact health. this study was very important, what we eat as children, can affect our health as adults. >> you talk about that saltshaker obviously, so if our parents, not just about put that away? >> no, you know, that's real good point. most, 63%, all of the salt we have is already in the foods. matter of fact ten foods that most kids eat most often, matter of fact, i eat a lot of them. so pizza one of them. do you ever have a slice of pizza? 700 milligrams of sodium in there. what about suppan also cheese, bread, a lot of people don't realize, there is a lot of sodium in bread. meats, ever wonder why meats could last so long? it is because there is a lot of sodium, preservative. savory snakes, things like microwave or just heat up, there is probably a lot of sodium this there. in fact, if sodium is one of the first five ingredients, it is probably the product probably has too much salt, and this is even before you add salt to your products. so it is the foods we buy, has a lot. >> you brought some soup with you this morning. >> i did. here is a little quiz. i have three chicken rice soups. okay? now, one of them of course is a healthy choice, and one of them is healthy value, one regular chicken and rice. which one do you think, and these are all two servings by the way, which one do you think has the lowest sodium until. >> automatically would you think healthy choice. >> yes. >> you would think? go ahead, tell us. >> healthy valley only has 85 milligrams of per serving, if have you this other one here, you are getting almost 2,000 milligrams of sodium. and the big thing is we don't need that. so, we have to start looking at labels. we have to be healthier, do healthier choices for our children and for our. >> what are other health risks you're talking about? i would automatically assume blood fresh shnewer. >> study -- study showed one in four children have higher pressure, what happens, it can lead as we get adults to higher incidence of high blood pressure, heart risk, stroke risk, kidney disease, so this is something that we need to really pay attention to. what can parents do? buy fresh. you know what you are putting in there. also, read labels, it is important. salt is a learned taste. so what we want to do, gradually adjust your taste buds by having less salty foods. that the tasha, here you go, get used to it. >> that one. >> what happens is you get four-six weeks, not having high sodium. >>
