he actually died last thursday at a local hospital.. but the coroner is just now confirming his death. he was working for a local bee company removing a hive from the attic when the bees began stinging him.. he was not wearing any protective gear. the investigation into his death could still take up to 2 months to complete. a different man is also dead tonight tonight .. killed in a scaffolding collapse at a local construction site. the collapse happened at the site of the second stage of tivoli village which is still under construction. fox five's miguel martinez-valle joins us live from tivoli village with the latest. miguel? it was during a construction project here at tivoli village that scaffolding collapsed. on that scaffolding three employees. this is a picture of that collapsed scaffolding right now the fire department was out here they say they got a call around 2 o'clock staying at the resulting in a serious injury of one of those employees when they got to the scene they determined that the employee that fell did not survive the fall. the other two people on the scaffolding jump to safety fire department says they weren't injured. the fire department has since left metro was out here for a little bit as well now osha is investigating because this is work related in injury and death. the corns here are the be releasing the name of the employee who lost their life. we know tovoli did send the rest of the construction they did send out a statement saying they are shocked and saddened by the tragedy 'safety and security are our top priorities for all of those who work, shop and visit tivoli village. to that end, we are cooperating with metro, las vegas fire & rescue, osha and all other necessary parties to ensure the proper investigation and continued safety protocol as this project moves forward.' cooperating with police fire and osha during the investigation mmv ffn ll the clark county district attorney has ruled the police shooting of an unarmed man has ruled the police shooting of an unarmed man last year was justified. 23-year-old keith childress childress was shot and killed on december 31 of last year. family members say today's review of the shooting that day all over again. fox5's eric hilt is live in the newsroom, what was discussed at today's hearing? these fact-finding reviews are meant to address concerns about officer involved shootings if they are ruled as justified, like the district attorney ruled in this case. but childress' mother told fox5 she still has questions about why her son was killed. "i can't believe this, i can't believe what courtroom today." emotions ran high, as family members watched county officials recount the police shooting of an unarmed 23 year old. "it was like reliving that day all over again..." that day was news years eve of last year -- when jacqueline lawrence's son, keith childress, was shot and killed by metro police officers. "its left our family torn up, we all miss him so much, he's never going to get to see his daughter" police say childress was wanted by us marshals, who had tracked the 23- year-old to las vegas. marshals tried to make an arrest -- but say childress took off. they called metro for backup, telling officers that childress was wanted for attempted murder. but that was wrong -- childress was actually facing burglary and kidnapping charges after a home invasion in arizona. nats -- get on the ground now in body cam footage, you can see childress ignoring several commands to stop walking and put his hands up. officers thought the childress had a gun... nats -- drop the gun ...but the object in his pocket was a unarmed. the clark county prosecuter ruled the shooting as justified. "i still cant believe it. he was a great person, not what they're saying" officials say today's review wasn't held to make any decisions -- but to address questions from the public about the shooting. but lawrence says she has one question still left unanswered.
