fox5 s eric hilt is live in the newsroom.eric talked to the childress family about the ruling. family members of keith childress jr. say today s review was difficult, and forced them to relieve the day of the shooting all over again. get on the ground childress was shot and killed on new years eve of last year. this is body cam video from that day it shows him ignoring demands from officers. those officers thought he had a gun in his pocket, but it was just a cell phone childress was the district attorney s office ruled the shooting as justified, and today s review was meant to address concerns from the public. but childress family told fox5 they have unanswered questions. why? that just my only question. why. it never had to go down like this. why did this happen. there was no reason for it, absolutely no reason for it. us marshals had tracked childress down that night and called metro for backup when marshals told metro that childress was wanted for attempted murde
he actually died last thursday at a local hospital.. but the coroner is just now confirming his death. he was working for a local bee company removing a hive from the attic when the bees began stinging him.. he was not wearing any protective gear. the investigation into his death could still take up to 2 months to complete. a different man is also dead tonight tonight .. killed in a scaffolding collapse at a local construction site. the collapse happened at the site of the second stage of tivoli village which is still under construction. fox five s miguel martinez-valle joins us live from tivoli village with the latest. miguel? it was during a construction project here at tivoli village that scaffolding collapsed. on that scaffolding three employees. this is a picture of that collapsed scaffolding right now the fire department was out here they say they got a call around 2 o clock staying at the resulting in a serious injury of one of those employees when they got to the scen
