we've got team coverage on the storms but first... let's head right over to meteorologist sam argier who's in for ted pretty this week. showers and thunderstorms are expected to increase across southern nevada this evening. the prime time to see storms around the las vegas valley will be between 7 p.m. and 2 a.m. tuesday morning. any storms that form will bring gusty winds and the potential for localized flash flooding. our showers ease up for tuesday with only a few pop up storms possible; mainly over the mountains and north of the valley. high temperatures will hold in the upper 90s and low 100s on tuesday. more sun and warmer weather is on the showers and thunderstorms are expected to increase across our team coverage of the storms. fox5's miguel martinez valle has been chasing the rain all over the north east part of the valley. he joins us now live at lincoln and lake mead.. and miguel .. what are you seeing? (captioning will resume shortly) (captioning will (captioning will (captioning will you can see more veiwer videos on the fox 5 las vegas facebook page. that's also where you can send us pictures or video of the storms .. and the flooding left behind. and be sure to tune in tomorrow morning for updates on any closed roads and your morning weather. the man who was stung hundreds of times by bees a couple weeks ago .. has died. it happened at a west oquendo road. the man is 49- year-ol jose moreno pacheco of las vegas. he actually died last thursday at a local hospital.. but the coroner is just now confirming his death. he was working for a local bee company removing a hive from the attic when the bees began stinging him.. he was not wearing any protective gear. the investigation into his death could still take up to 2 months to complete. police need your help finding a suspect involved in a robbery in north las vegas. police say a pharmacy ann and simmons street was robbed at gunpoint last week. the men were last seen wearing teal and grey hooded sweatshirts. police say they got away in a dark colored four door sedan...you can see the car up at the top of your screen there. they're asking anyone with information about these men to come forward. you can remain anonymous by calling crimestoppers. that number is 702-385-55-55. a construction worker died when the scaffold he was working on collapsed. it happened at paused construction at the site. fox5's miguel martinez valle was at the scene earler tonight. a construction project at tivoli village turned to tragedy when the scaffolding holding three employees suddenly collapsed... " when the dust settled we found there was only one person seriously injured, we found they were actually deceased." the las vegas fire department had a crew stationed in the area, they responded to the scene almost immediately... " actually when they got in there they said the dust was still out in the air from falling" but according to tim szymanski, it was already too late... while two of the workers on the scaffolding managed to jump to safety... one of the men was not able to get off in time. "i believe in her. i trust her. i trust her values. i support her canidacy, and hillary clinton is the most qualified person to run for president of this country in a very long time. kaine spoke at the international iron convention at the mirage. he was joined by his father - al kaine - who owned a union-organized ironwork and welding shop in missouri. congresswoman dina titus and senate canidate cathrine cortez- masto were at the convention showing their support. kaine also held a rally for union workers. the clark county district attorney ruled the police shooting of an unarmed man last year was justified. police shot and killed 23-year-old keith childress in december. that ruling was reviewed at a killed new years eve last year. this is body cam footage of that day....it shows him ignoring the officer's demands. the d-a's office ruled the shooting was justified...and today's review was supposed to address public concerns. "why? that just my only question. why. it never had to go down like this. why did this happen. there was no reason for it, absolutely no reason for it." us marshals tracked childress down that night and called metro he ran away. marshals told metro that childress was wanted for attempted murder -- instead...he was facing charges for a home invasion in arizona. childress' death sparked a large public reaction including a protest on the strip. clark county students are now less than a week away from the first day of school. law enforcement is teaming up to make sure your child is getting to and from school as safe as possible. plus...a handful of middle schools around the valley are letting administrators concerned for with school just a week away... we're spending time talking about your child's safety when going to... and from school. many students these days are walking to and from school with valuable ipads and tablets... the district wants to make sure your child is not a victim. this year the district say 12 middle schools are taking part in the e-3 program that lets out and take ipads home. they say parents and students are given an online safety course before the school year. "this is the perfect opportunity to really speak to your kids the way they walk to school, today's society you watch people walking down the street not paying attention to one single thing" clark county school district says if parents have any questions on safety guidelines to contact their school. c-c-s-d's "zero fatalities for children in 20-17" today. they're hosting events all week long to remind parents and kids about safety on their way to school. the clark county police department led today's workshop on bike safety. some lucky kids got free helmets and backpacks filled with school supplies. bike safety tips included finding the safest route before school starts... wearing a helmet-- and if possible ride in a group. "we really want our parents to be talking to the kids about their responsibilities by ensuring that they cross at crosswalks. if they're on a bike that they get off of the bike, walk it across the cross walk and make sure that they're crossing at a marked crosswalk or at an intersection where drivers expect to see them, number one." tomorrow's event will focus on bus safety. the fires burning in california have obvious worries- torched forests, lost homes, and essential safety. for some administrators though, there's a different worry on their minds. the first day of school. last year...the valley, jerusalem, and rocky fires postponed that new school year. and this year... the clayton fire pushed back the first bell for burns valley elementary by a week- students just getting back into their desks today.
