While the family has raised enough money to move her to another facility, they now have nowhere that will take her. Jahi mcmaths family today reached their 20,000 fund raising goal. But today we learned none of the facilities in talks to take the girl have panned out. All of this just one day before tomorrows 5 p. Reporter ken, a fundraiser to pay for jahis airlift out of here was abruptly cancelled this evening, in part because the money is already there, but also, no doors are open. Reporter jahis mothers pastor led prayer for peace and healing, as the battle over keeping jahi on life support takes yet another turn. Already a los angeles medical facility had backed out of accepting the braindead teenager. Now a New York Hospital said no as well. We definitely dont want to raise funds, you know, for something that is not ironclad. Reporter when todays fund raiser was planned at this church, the family had about 400 towards the cost of moving jahi. But in just two days of soliciting on the gofundme website, online donations already top the money needed to airlift here. Thats a miracle. The community evidently sees, you know, whats going on. And they want to give jahi a chance to live. Reporter but her time on life support has a Court Ordered limit. Without an appeal, they can pull jahis ventilator tomorrow evening. Theres a 5 00 deadline tomorrow. I believe its critical to say, up until that time, were going to continue to pray good you are the comforter. Comfort the hearts of the families right now, god. Reporter an hour ago, outside the hospital no amount of hope, no amount of prayer, can bring her back. Reporter a spokesperson declared theres a reason facilities are refusing to take jahi. She is deceased. Shes on a ventilator. She has no chance of coming back, under any circumstance. Reporter and the deadline stands. When 5 00 comes around, the ventilator will be removed. Reporter jahi would have to leave childrens with a breathing tube and a feeding tube, procedures this hospital refuses to do on a deceased person. Now, her family has not been vocal today. More details now on the emotional fight to keep jahi mcmath on life support. The 13yearold oakland teen went in for a tonsillectomy to help with sleep apnea. That was on december 9. She was declared braindead on december 12, after complications and after suffering cardiac arrest. A judge issued a restraining order that said oakland Childrens Hospital cannot take jahi off life support until monday, tomorrow, december 30. Taking a live look now at the gofundme page thats been set up for jahi, you can see more than 21,000 has been raised for jahi since this page was set up two days ago. A collision between a car and a San Francisco fire truck sent two people, including a firefighter, to the hospital. The accident happened just before 11 a. M. At fifth and howard streets in the citys south of market neighborhood. The firefighter was treated in the hospital and released. A busy intersection, so it could investigate the collision. Earlier this morning in San Francisco, an suv struck and killed a pedestrian. It happened around 2 30 in the morning as the pedestrian was walking along the 4th street on ramp to westbound interstate 80. The driver stopped and is cooperated with police. Theyre hoping the new year will bring more rain. Reporter its been a bone dry year across california. San francisco is poised to set a record with just over five and a half inches of rainfall. And anxiety is growing at bay area water agencies. East bay mud sierra watershed has picked up just 4. 5 inches of rain since october. That is less than 30 of average. Thats where were worried. Even with the lack of rainfall this year, east bay muds reservoirs are still 68 full. Thats very close to average. But the next few months are critical. This water in storage wont last long. If the agency doesnt see significant rainfall soon, a drought could be the next step. Everyone here will be watching the forecast closely. Cautiously monitoring the rainfall situation and the snow situation. In february, if things dont begin to change, then we will begin to take steps to prepare. Reporter the board will decide in may whether to declare a drought, meaning either volunteer or mandatory water rationing. Already people in parts of Sacramento County are being required to cut water use by 20 . There is no rain or snow in the forecast anywhere in the state, between now and the end of the year. Were really falling behind in terms of rainfall. In terms of drought, a good portion of the state, that is a moderate drought. Were also watching out for that red area, approaching the bay area. That is a severe drought. Thats all the result of not much in the way of rainfall so far for this early rainfall county, count, as far as the season. Were not going to add a drop of rainfall to these totals. Santa rosa, only 8. 5 inches of rainfall this year. San jose, 3. 8. Fire crews in oakland were on the scene this morning of a twoalarm fire at an abandoned building. They got the call for a fire on foothills boulevard in east oakland. The building is right across the street there the fremont municipal pool. Nobody was hurt, and the cause of the fire is under investigation. Police in antioch are investigating a shooting inside a home that injured two people. It happened around 8 30 last night on claiborne road near lone tree way after people reportedly knocked and were let inside the home. When police arrived, they say they found a 20yearold woman shot twice. And they say a 29yearold man was also shot but fled the scene. He later arrived at a local hospital. Both victims are expected to survive. No arrests have been made. New at 6 00, a dramatic drop in doe naigs leaves a bay area Wildlife Museum asking for help. Officials say their future depends on it. East bay families flock to the lindsay Wildlife Museum every weekend. But leaders of the nonprofit Animal Hospital say they may have to cut back on programs. Heres what can be done to help the hospital and its animal patients. That would require them to hunt more. Reporter call it animal attraction. The lindsay Wildlife Museum is a huge draw for bay area families. Two very active boys, and they love coming here. It certainly is a good distraction for them on the weekend. Reporter samantha fraguas and her son arthur make the trip to walnut creek. We come that often, even though i leave far away. Reporter they have even rescued a hawk. The hawk stayed here for a week. And they brought it back to our backyard to release. And that was, i think, the most unique experience we had, encountering a wild animal. Really nice. So far this year, veterinarians, staff and volunteers have treated 5600 animals here at the hospital. And they need about 500,000 to make it all work. Weve treated a lot more animals. But weve actually been operating on a smaller budget. Weve had less donations this year than we have in previous years. Reporter with donations down, it may mean less money for programs and exhibits. We try to make it a positive experience for people. We dont want to talk about our problems in a lot of ways. But at the end of the day, we do depend on our donors support. Reporter they hope the call of the wild and their call for support will be enough. So children like arthur can further foster a love and understanding of wildlife. Harriet disappeared after going out for a walk with her dog. Police launched a ground and air search. Today we learned holbrook was found safe with her dog. Instead of upper 60s tomorrow, well go with 66. For napa, the forecast high, 66. San rafael, starting off the day in the 30s. On track to reach the lower 60s. For San Francisco and the peninsula, starting out with fair skies. But well call it partly sunny for your monday afternoon. Temperature in San Francisco, mid40s at 7 00. Even in pacifica, warming back up into the lower 60s for tomorrow. These numbers still a little bit above the average, even though we are shaving off a few degrees. All neighborhoods back up into right around 64 to 65 degrees for tomorrow afternoon.
