a mudslide. alexander avenue in mar in. golden gate bridge. the closure is between east road and edwards avenue. the mudslide happened monday. its been cleared but engineers still knead to look at the we have our hands full. for now let's go back to dave and pam. >> thank you. it's 4:34. south bay water rescue. rescue people stranded by the flooding. >> the creek over flowed. the homeless camp nearby. firefighters rescued five people. trapped by the floodwaters. authorities searched by boat and by air. there were as many as 40 people there. >> most of the flooding problems in the area are because of water being release from anderson reservoir and into coyote creek. the reservoir filled up much quicker than they thought. the creek over flowed its banks. santa clara water valley managers said that relief is started back in january from the outlet at the bottom of the dam. on saturday they started to send water over the spillway. they say they were trying to make room at the rain. part of the road collapsed. highway 50. to south lake tahoe is one of the two minute roads along with interstate 80. now yesterday a big sink hole swallowed up at least 25 feet of highway 50 east of bridalveil falls. >> there has been erosion. the slope is just slowly going down and affects the highway on top. >> through the east and up the mountain there were near white out conditions. drivers moved slowly over the mountain. back here niles canyon road remains closed between fremont because of the risk of flooding. people near the creek say it's running as full as they have seen it and there is another problem nearby. a mudslide is keeping the road closed from niles canyon to castro valley. rocks continue to fall on that road. there is good news. both northbound lanes of highway 17 are now open in the santa cruz mountains near vine hill road. that's been such a tough area for the last few weeks. crews have been able to clear a mudslide that had the road partly shut down for more than a week there. however one southbound lane remains closed because of cracks to the asphalt. in marin a portion of sir francis drake boulevard out past fairfax back open. that is after a mudslide blocked lanes of traffic there. the road was closed at white hill near the bay wood canyon estates. crews worked all day yesterday to tray to build a new barricade along that hillside. in other news. >> testimony continues in the sierra lamar murder case. yesterday attorneys heard from the ex-girlfriend of lamar's accused killer. they say that she couldn't seem to keep her story straight. in court she claimed on the day lamar disappeared she went to do laundry at her mother's home and torres dropped her off. pres say during the investigation she never told officials she was with torres that morning. torres is charged with the kidnapping and quilling of lamar even though her body has not been found. he is also charged with attempting to kidnap three other women in 2009. a high school is taking steps to calm fears about a tb outbreak. now officials at the high school in fairfield held a meeting last night for parents. that's after a student tested positive for tb more than two weeks ago. that student is now being treated for the very serious lung infection. parents still don't know if their kids could have been exposed. >> my main concern is because we have a daughter here but also three other kids at home. we don't want my daughter to get infected spread it to the house. >> the school said that about 270 students may have been exposed. it's sinning letters to the parents of those children and also said the students can get tb blood tests in the school gym. one week from today. some parents say that they don't want to wait and they are going to go to -- on their one to
