Investigators said officers were on patrol walking near the intersection of replay drive and walked towards a group of men. [ music ] this is from last night, a candlelight vigil was held in memory of Deputy Dennis wallace shot twice in the head yesterday as he checked on the report of suspicious van parked near modesto. Deputy wallace was a 20 year veteran of the Sheriffs Department he leaves behind a wife and family. He was one of the happiest guys there was. Even in hard times he was smiling. If we could learn from that, the sun will shine tomorrow, evil will not win out. In the meantime authorities have a suspect a company, 37yearold David Machado was arrested after committing an Armed Robbery at a convenience store.
