I got the 4 and the 2yearolds, we avoided the line, we went early december, by doing that it allowed us to have more time with santa because my youngest was really freaked out. According to San Francisco police, there is been 19 Bank Robberies in the past four weeks. Police say they recently arrested two people who are responsible for ten of those robberies. Investigators say they are not sure, if the holidays are a factor. The amount of money they get away with are not substantial. So what they get away with is not worth the crime at all. One robber is known as bad santa is still at large. Police are looking for other robbers as well. Police Department Around the bay area are cracking down on drunk driving this evening. One check point has a special significant for one woman. 22yearold sara was the only survivor of the crash. The four were driving to a movie when they were hit by a drunk driver. Drink and drive, it is not a good idea. In a split second and boom, you can take away three whole lives. Please dont get behind the wheel, under the influenced of anything. Yesterdays dwi check point was by Police Officers and volunteers. It is estimated that more than 10, 000 people die every year due to drunk driving. I have been listening from a lot of debates of folks talking about this movie, just really it is a tough situation when the movie theaters are pulling out and people are worried that something will happen at those theaters. I got to think, i know it is not an ideal situation. Dvd or something that people can see the movie. Maybe there is avenues to do it or sony putting it online and you can use a credit card and charge it and watch it. The danger with that is if you put are you willing to put your credit card down to a company thats just been hacked. Obviously, they want to get their money back. So i just did not like artists were treated like commodities in the business world. So i gave up on the industry but some good fortune, i ran into an old friend of mine who was an old friend of jerrys. He was coming to town and david gave jerry a call and hey, we are in town and i like to see the show. David took me over and i got to meet jerry for the first time. That was it. We hit it off right away. Jerry was just an incredible human being that you knew right away. You knew he was a real guy. My first show was back in 91. My older brother took me and i was hooked. They brought out the banjo and i was hooked. David and joe has their reunion and they met in 64. David and jerry were playing backstage. Richard, what did you do when you look back your career during those years . Basically, i was in the middle of the period. I got in there around 72. So theyre seven years in. I took them on trips. I i took them internationally. I took to egypt in 1968 where they played three days in front of the pyramid. They were not very wealthy at that time. I kind of you know, i was really a businessman and in the sense that i took care of their cashs and make sure they earn the bills to take care of their personal needs. In the book, david griffiths, he talks about separating the artist from the suit. Was it hard to be friends with these guys and being their manager at the same time . The thing about it, you work in an atmosphere where it is a community. I was working behind the desk in new york booking days with promoters. It was the community. You work with everybody. I mean it was just not on the phone with businessmen, you know. It was a great experience. It is a learning experience to work within the great them. It is really a scene. It is not at all being in the real business world. I have not been. Got to see the show after all these years. Yeah, he was one of the guys that went to egypt with me and helped me put that trip together. A lot of fun times. A lot of fun time force me, i bought my last three shows in 95. Did you get in the Jerrys Garcia band . I did. I got in here in oakland. And i got that sense that he liked playing in that band. Yeah, when i started working with him in the jerrys band. Those couple of years with saunders and all the Jerry Garcias band that we travel with. Jerry was my man. Well, we love happy, pharreal is someone whos done successful stuff that has great message. We nominated the ice bucket challenge. You see jim harbaugh and bill gates and Mark Zuckerberg on. You focus on an important disease and you did it in a way to raise money. That was a good example of how you can use the media. It was remarkable how much it spreads as well and focus attention on the important disease. Thats how media can shape the way we and our society view important issues. Lets start with young talents. Well, i am a baseball player, my son jesse over there, he watch monet. And what a role model as a girl and as a kid overall. You h huh. Uhhuh. And as the of color. Monet exemplifies that. She shows leadership among people in a world where young people can be incredible politically. Social media showing how things spread but when you have these stories and when we put something out on our social media, it can spread like wild fire. Thats right. When it is used well, it is phenomena. It has a great message. When it is bad, it is really bad. Thats what i said. We have to give people their worst moment. Well, we picked three, the selfies in general is too much focus on yourself. Oh, these are our folks. We love these selfies. It is selfie improvement. There you go, mike. Maybe be careful, you could up there. The truth is, the focus on selfies there was a dinner time app where it shows where you have to limit the amount of time thats spent.
