Sioux city police have identified the victim shot in the chest during an overnight shooting on friday. Shes 36yearold aquilas scott. Authorities say 35year old nadia broady and her boyfriend, 23 yearold Mykale Johnson were fighting over a handgun. It happened at 1417 isabella st. In sioux city, shortly before 11 friday night. Johnson was shot in the hand, while scott, a family member, was hit in the chest. Broady has been charged with aggravated Domestic Assault and felon in possession of a firearm. Johnson is charged with aggravated domestic and carrying a weapon. The department of justice has joined the investigation into a confrontation between a student and a School Resource officer in columbia, south carolina. He was shocked by the video that shows the officer taking down a student. The young woman, and a second student were arrested for disturbing school. Sheriff leon lott said he will determine the officers punishment based on the results of an internal investigation which should be completed today. Officials have confirmed that one person is dead after a school bus crashed and overturned on a pennsylvania highway last night. The bus was carrying the female rowing team from Lehigh University when it flipped over. All of the students are being evaluated by medical personnel. None of the students suffered any major injuries, but some have been transported to local hospitals. The identification of the person who was killed has not yet been released. Two people are dead after the car they were in crashed into a house. The driver and passenger did not survive the accident in alexandria, virginia on tuesday night. President obama spoke to a gathering of Police Chiefs yesterday and addressed the divide between Law Enforcement and communities of color. Mister obama was speaking to the International Association of chiefs of police in his hometown of chicago. The president focused on several key points in his speech. Among them making sure Police Departments have the resources they need to do their jobs. Reforming the criminal justicicsystem to make it more fair. And reducing the risk k for officers through commonsense gun safety reforms. He said Good Community policing is a twoway street. And that communities must give officers the benefit of the doubt.
