everyone. i'm gerard ramalho. the lucky dragon soft opening happening early today, about an hour ago. this is our top story at 5:00. news 3's nathan o'neal joins us live at the resort to give us a close-up look inside. pretty impressive, i hear. >> reporter: yeah, gerard. there are crowds out there. originally it was supposed to open at 8:00. there was a lot of anticipation so they let everybody in. you can see all of the action out here. all we're on the second floor. this has been in development for about five years from concept to completion. the entire casino resort was designed with the asian tourist in mind, even the signage over there mutts chinese first, english second. >> with our service standards we try to make sure with everything that what doe that -- we do we're putting the asian culture first and allowing the american culture to follow >> reporter: now, lucky dragon is divided into two separate towers, the casino and the hotel. there are 203 guest rooms and the casino has about 37 tables game and every detail is built with the asian gambler and tourist in mind, an effort to keep it authentic. this holds true from the food, the idea is to introduce a new concept into las vegas but also to drap into the growing asian tourism base. >> we know what our players want. we focus on baccarat, roulette. we don't have any craps in the building. >> reporter: now, an interesting fact for you. on the hotel floor, there are several floors. but if you go in the elevators, there's no marked four floor. like i said, the doors were planned to open at 8:00 but news 3 is your traffic authority. we're approaching halfway through a difficult but necessary shutdown of one of the most heavily traveled sections of road in theas valley. the traffic is at a crawl because i-215 is closed near the airport connector. this started last night and will end on monday morning, right around 5:00 a.m. crews are installing parts of a flyover offramp there just over the highway. the best tip to avoid the area, but if you must head that way, traffic is being rerouted to the airport connector. expect delays and those who want to use the 215 westbound will leaving the others but those eastbound, you will have to find another option. an elko police lieutenant says an air ambulance flight that crashed shortly after takeoff from the elko airport apparently had mechanical problems. three crew members and a patient were killed in the friday night crash in the parking lot of a mining company. no one on the ground was injured. we the plane was transporting a heart patient to the university of utah. the plane was climbing after takeoff on the flight for salt lake when it lost altitude and crashed. two of the victims including the patient were from the elko. one was from utah. the pilot's hometown is unknown. the ntsb and faa are conducting an investigation. president-elect donald trump continues to try to fill dozens of positions in his upcoming administration. his meeting with potential candidates all weekend at a golf course in new jersey. now, trump did find time to do here's more. >> reporter: the trump transition kicking into high gear over the weekend. the president-elect meeting with more than a half-dozen people saturday as he tries to round out his administration. among them, former massachusetts governor, mitt romney, who led a that is spreading the moisture over the sierra. good news for skiers and snowboarders. and here is your forecast radar. that does put moisture in southern nevada, moving through fairly rapidly on monday. still not 100% certain that we'll get it here in the valley. some forecast models are arguing with each other. but there's certainly a chance. definitely keep the roof up tomorrow night into monday. you can see it could be a very good event for the utah wasatch. tonight, you can see the clouds moving in. don't expect this moisture to get in. 47. mostly to partly cloudy. northeast winds 5, 10 miles an hour. around the region, the clouds providing insulation. we're not all that cold, say, for pahrump, 28, 22 up in caliente. and tomorrow, highs generally a few degrees up over what they
