Taking a live look at a very foggy San Francisco tonight. Thats the transamerica pyramid. Thats half disappeared. Yeah, you to karl the fog its always showing up just about this time, though, right . We know sky july is like but hey, were dealing you know, some seriousness in terms of the amount of water that we have here in california braces. Got a look at that. Yeah, especially with our Drought Monitor map. We certainly need as much moisture as we can get in. Its the worst timing because we are also tracking monsoonal moisture. But it isnt going to give us any rain. Unfortunately. Instead the threat of popup thunderstorms with that dry lightning in the forecast could actually spark wildfires. So lets take a look at our Drought Monitor map still dry under the severe category for most of the bay area. And we are tracking dry conditions out there right now. Overnight, though, we are going to see some light drizzle, especially along the coast, bringing us traces amount of rain. But its this monsoonal moisture to our east and south. Thats going to bring us an increase in those upper level clouds that muggy moisture content increasing, giving us that tropical feel making temperatures feel warmer than what they actually are very unstable atmosphere as well. So from now, until then, though, were going to have a round of drizzle fest right along the coast and east bay shoreline, drier and Clear Conditions by monday afternoon. Still going to be warm for our hottest inland valleys. But by monday night after midnight through the overnight hours into your Tuesday Morning, thats when were going to have that window with the biggest threat of possible popup thunderstorms. So we are going to see the atmosphere get very dynamic and that threat mainly for those of you in the north bay and east bay, specifically the valleys there. So dont let your guard down if we do get any dangerous outflow winds from any popup thunderstorms that could help spread fires. If any do spark with any dry lightning potential. So the biggest threat going to be on Tuesday Morning, going to keep our eyes on that. But as you can see, that monsoonal moisture going to stick around for most of the rest of the week even into next weekend. We are going to see partly cloudy skies. So far. No thunderstorm threats for next weekend. But its something were going to have to keep an eye on because it is going to be very dynamic in nature, unstable atmosphere, especially monday night into Tuesday Morning. You know, the drill this time of year. Unfortunately, it is becoming a pattern in the bay area. Its hard because i feel like we obviously want the moisture but and Everything Else that comes along with a light matter what we want. Yeah. And so far rain models not tracking much moisture is traces amount. If we do see any on tuesday. So it looks like its going to be more of that dry lightning. If any do spark. All right, lisa, thank you guys. Well, police in san mateo are warning the public about this Mountain Lion was spotted wandering around a residential neighborhood this weekend.
