investigating a pair of shootings that happened last night in the city's bayview district. the first happened in the 1500 block of red deer ave. --revere ave. a man in his 20s was shot in the stomach. there is no word on his condition. the second shooting happened in the 1100 block of palou avenue. the victim was also in his 20s. he is expected to survive. police did arrest one man, three more suspects are at large. they do not know if the shootings are related. both shootings remain under investigation. >>james: police are asking for the public's help in finding the suspect in a deadly hit-and-run accident and pacifica. the car versus pedestrian accident happened last night on palmetto avenue around 740. when police arrived on scene, the victim a 50 year-old male was found in the roadway. the suspects' vehicle is described as a gray or dark colored chevrolet monte carlo or dodge charger. if it was last seen heading north on palmetto avenue. >>james: a bill that would have allegations that monster beverage is marketing its highly caffeinated drinks to children. the recently revealed alliance was formed last month, around the same time a federal judge tossed out a lawsuit monster filed seeking to stop san francisco city attorney dennis herrera's investigation of the energy drink maker. the food and drug administration has been investigating reports of five a massachusetts law that keeps protesters 35 feet from the entrance to abortion clinics. protesters at planned parenthood health centers sued the state over the 2007 law, saying it limits their ability to encounter patients arriving for care. federal courts in massachusetts have upheld the law. abortion rights groups report that incidents of violence are down in states and cities that have buffer zones. president obama is expected to support changes to the way the government collects millions of americans' phone records. but he is leaving many of the specific adjustments for congress to sort out. members of congress are in no hurry to settle their differences and quickly enact broad changes. the president is reviewing more than 40 recommendations from a presidential commission. the california d-m-v is gearing up for driverless cars. the agency is making rules for when the new technology hits the streets. at a hearing yesterday in sacramento. d-m-v regulators were figuring out city's bayview district. the first happened in the 1500 block of revere avenue. a man in his 20s was shot in the stomach. there is no word on his condition. the second shooting happened in the 1100 block of palou avenue. that victim was also in his 20s. he is expected to survive. police did arrest one man, three more suspects are at large. they do not know if these shootings are related. >> public's helping in finding the suspect in a deadly hit and run accident in pacifica. the car versus pedestrian accident happened last night on palmetto ave around 7-40. when police arrived on scene, the victim a 50 year old man was found in the roadway. the suspect's vehicle is described as a gray or dark colored chevrolet monte carlo, or dodge charger. it was last seen heading norht on palmetto
