>> 97 degrees was our high temperature out there. it was hot. the past three days we've been sitting at 97 degrees. the average for this timof so we are well above that. a lot of people are asking when are we finally going to get rid of the 95 or higher? so far this year at phoenix sky harbor we've seen 133 days this year with the temperature above the 95-degree mark. average is 143, so we're actually a little below that and the last day of 95 degrees is october 15th. so the cooler weather is the valley. it's 10:18 at night and it quickly cools off and the morning tomorrow will be perfect in the valley, 71 degrees a perfect morning, but we'll warm back unto 97 degrees and be the fourth day in a row absolutely no chance of rain whatsoever unless you live in the extreme eastern side of our state. right now we're just seeing into the state from the west. we have a couple disturbances that will rotate into the region resulting in windy conditions in the high country the next seven days, but in the valley we'll say very dry with low pressure just -- stay very dry with high pressure just south of arizona. it will slowly move in towards texas and influence arizona and be above average the next couple days. here are your forecast lows, globe, 55 payson. when you look at the seven-day forecast, don't pay attention to the high temperatures. look at the overnight lows 69 degrees wednesday, thursday, friday, gorgeous in the morning, but that's what we look forward to this time of year. >> the best this time of year. you may be getting tricks instead of treats this halloween, what you should know about online scams next on 12news at 10:stephanie we know a plot of you are still looking -- a lot of you are still looking for that perfect halloween costume, but be sure you don't get scammed online. counterfeiters are out there trying to take advantage of online shoppers hoping to steer traffic to their sight using terms like cheap or discount. so if a price looks too good to be re, it probably is. shoppers should also be careful buying things like novelty contact lenses or fake makeup that can lead to serious and lasting damage. it was a successful weekend at the box office with the girl on the train taking the top spot in its premier weekend and bringing in $24.7 million. the latest tim burton movie miss peregrine's home for peculiar children came in second place and deep water horizon rounded out this is the week you can catch all of the harry potter movies in the series at the harkin arizona mills in tempe. the screenings start thursday, each movie 10 bucks in imax. a kitten with two broken legs saved by construction workers, how it's doing now two broken legs is getting a second chance. the kitten was found in minnesota by a construction worker. he had to undergo surgery at the animal hospital and picked up two metal rods in his legs to fix the problem. guess what they named the cat. rodney. he's now getting a second chance and he has a new family. >> cute little guy. >> good stuff. not to good, the injury news on the cardinals. let's check in with co >> not just the cardinals. i have a hip flexor and you have a retater cuff. >> i'm good. don't -- rotator cuff. >> i'm good. don't throw me in that mix. >> and a bad knee, too. >> and a strain on the acute oblongdula. >> when you getting that knee 12 sports tonight is your cure all for things that ails you as a sports fan except coop. we start with our best of the night that happened north of the border with a walkoff. boy, it sounded awesome. >> martin on the crowd. andrews makes a play to second. what a play, but here comes the runner. he's safe! the ballgame is over! the blue jays are moving on to the alcs. >> the bad blue for everyone, a canadian beer reference. we'll talk more about the baseball playoffs in a few minutes, but first 12 sports tonight starts right now. i wasn't playing very well that day. >> sure, honey. >> hopefully we get good news on brady, but didn't look good. >> what hits harder, larry or a defensive back? >> i think it's pretty significant because you are relying on these guys to help make your running game no. 1 in the league. david johnson did an excellent job starting run on the first snap from scrimmage. that's what you want to open thing up. how effective can these young guys be stepping in? they did play well in the 49ers game. now you'll go up with three weeks of front that will be tough. how do you prepare for that? how are they able to execute and stick with the same running scheme they've done? >> they call for earl watt who can slide in right there behind and jay, with ipati out, john wetzel who is usually a tackle slipped in as guard. bruce arians raved about his performance and gave him a game ball, but you have to wonder. he doesn't usually play guard. they ran well against the 49ers, but moving forward they'll play some good from thes and that chemistry along the -- good fronts and that chemistry along the line will be hard to tell going forward. >> the seahawks and the carolina panthers, so these young guys will get tested both early and often. i'm very surprised and disappointed with the play of michael floyd. here's a guy in his contract year, i expected him to elevate his game and show he is that no. 1 receiver, can be an elite receiver in this game and really impact his value in the offseason and the way he's red and white. >> he's pressing. he wants to get paid. he would love to be paid by the cardinals, but you're also thinking if i'm not going to get paid here -- >> you got to produce, though. >> i think he just needs to step back. in this offense he understands there's a lot of weapons, so the amount of balls you get will be few sometimes, so you have to make the most of it. sometimes when you try to make the most out of little, these thing happen. sometimes he drops balls in the game, but if you need him at the end of the game, he has made catches. >> jay, the man has been dropped from first to fourth receiver on the team. i don't see him being there late in the games because the cardinals are starting to lose confidence. >> that was the case in point against the 49ers. his snaps did dwindle as the game went on because he wasn't making plays. we asked how do you fix the longer are you going to keep doing that before something happens? >> you can't keep throwing him the football if you don't have him in the game because you're not confident in him. this has gotten to the point to where it blows me away. michael floyd is too good for this. basically i think it's a confidence issue right now. i think the guy has flat out lost his confidence and that surprises me. >> i saw this on twitter. who is the cardinals no. 2 receiver right now? my vote is david johnson. >> he is, but that's when you look at it, there's so many guys, you can say larry fitzgerald is no. 1, but on a night john brown could be no. 1, but on a night john floyd could be no. 1, but that's a tribute to a deep offense. i think if i'm the coaching staff and i have michael floyd, i say listen, we're going to keep going to you because we believe in what you can do. we just need you to step up and make a play. don't think about the contract. put that to the side. make your plays like you're
