The latest fire broke out in the hills north of santa monica near los angeles. More than 10,000 homes and businesses were evacuated as an explosive fire blasted flames six stories high. Further north in sonoma county, the kincade fire has burned an area two times the size of San Francisco and forced about 185,000 people from their homes. Power is out tonight to about a million homes and businesses in the state. Carter evans leads us off tonight at the getty fire near los angeles. Reporter Southern Californians woke up to powerful winds and towering flames up to 60 feet high in a fire season thats been relentless. Crazy, absolutely crazy. Fire crews had to navigate Narrow Canyon roads amid a blizzard of ash. The department of Homeland Security said today it is operating at a heightened state of vigilance, looking out for possible revenge attacks in response to the weekend raid that took out the leader of isis, abu bakr albaghdadi. We also learned today that video and photos of that daring operation by u. S. Special forces could soon be made public. David martin has new details. Reporter the compound where albaghdadi met his end was first assaulted by the armys delta force and then reduced to rubble by american bombs. He was a sick and depraved man, and now hes dead. Reporter President Trump tweeted a picture of the dog that chased albaghdadi down a dead end tunnel where he killed himself and three children by detonating a suicide vest.
