Two workers at the san jose airport are recovering from Carbon Monoxide exposure. Officials say they were using a gaspowered saw cutter in one of the terminals when they started to feel sick. They were rushed to the hospital and are expected to be okay. Crews vented the area and the airport opened at its normal time this morning. Threats continue to be hurled back and forth between the u. S. , allies and north korea. Here at home, lawmakers are taking sides over whether President Trumps warnings of fire and fury went too far. One week after a the shooting at dolores park, one of the three victims wounded remains hospitalized in critical condition. The 37yearold man was shot in the face during last weeks shooting that happened at the pedestrian bridge on the west side of the park. Police believe the shooting may have been gangrelated. The two other victims were both treated for nonlifethreatening injuries and released. The gunmen are still on the loose. This san bruno man is in jail accused of hitting and killing a San Francisco jogger. Police say that 21yearold den radell had allegedly been involved in an argument and sped off before striking the woman with his car last thursday at Executive Park boulevard. He stayed at the scene until police and paramedics arrived. He was taken to a hospital for his injuries. He is now facing manslaughter and reckless driving charges. Crews digging and a San Francisco building dredged up some of the citys past. They hit a sometime stone buried under a garage a tombstone buried under a garage on mayfair drive in San Franciscos lower heights neighborhood. Kpix 5s Jessica Flores is there live with more. Reporter were on iris and mayfair. And if you live in this neighborhood, you should know about its creepy or fascinating past depending on how you look at it. Crews were digging up a tombstone more than 100 years old. They didnt find any bones. They were in the garage digging up working on laying down new electrical lines when they hit that plate. And it was wedged between a pipe and foundation. It turns out it was 155year old grave marker for an entire family. A mother, a father and a child who died at 13 days old. There is a simple explanation here. This neighborhood used to be home to the laurel hills cemetery. The graves were removed to colma to make room for housing. This tombstone was left behind. Workers said they never discovered anything like it before. I was hoping i wasnt finding a finger or hand trying to come up and grab me or Something Like that. [ laughter ] reporter this isnt the first time Something Like this has happened. Last year workers stumbled upon a casket under a home near Lone Mountain in San Francisco. Researchers say it was the body of a young girl who died in 1876. Now, workers plan to be out here again working and hopefully taking that tombstone away. We have learned that the recent sale of a San Francisco street to a san jose couple actually represents the second time the homeowners in the neighborhood have faced consequences over unpaid taxes. The San Francisco chronicle reports that homeowners by the newly sold Presidio Terrace failed to pay a 14 annual common area tax bill for 30 years. At one point, the street and the sidewalks were taken over by the state. In 1985, homeowners made good and got them back. But a much more recent failure to pay nearly 1,000 in a tax bill turned over the common areas yet again. Now the san jose couple who purchased Presidio Terrace in an Online Auction are deciding how they might transform various spaces. The east bays largest Water District is now planning to reduce water theft fines. East bay m. U. D. s board voted to slash the fines 80 for customers who tamper with their water meters. The board agreed to drop the fine from 1,000 to 200 for first time offenders. The fine is also dropping from 2,000 to 400 for second time offenders. Later today official will bart will discuss the homeless issue around the agencys stations. Board members are reportedly working on a plan to ban panhandling near station entrances. The agency says that it will work with the homeless men and women near the downtown San Francisco stations to help them find shelter. It also plans to clean up the train stations. A basketball event hosted by steph curry and his brother nearly turned tragic when a 66 yearold had Health Trouble but a San Francisco Police Officer helped and saved the mans life. Officer robert Fund Reportedly saw the man lost consciousness and was not breathing. So he immediately called the Fire Department and started performing cpr until paramedics arrived. Right now, San Rafael Police are searching for a man who attacked a jogger. They just released this sketch of the suspect on the path near pickle weed park and the target store on the morning of june 18th. The victim says he went after her three different times on her run. The driver was taken to a hospital. Emergency services had to use a ladder to free two passengers trapped on the upper deck. Two fire engines and three fire rescue units rushed to the scene. Threats are flying back and forth after north Koreas Nuclear threat. Overnight, south korea warned the country it will face a stern Strong Military response. They leaked what they say was a game of thrones script and a contact list of executives with addresses of thousands of hbo and time warner staffers but an investigation reveals the file was probably doctored making unclear if other documents were altered. Joining us now, kcbs radios financial reporter jason brooks. Reporter good morning. A couple of key nick reports out. Firsttime jobless claims up 3,000 to 244,000 but still low. And the Unemployment Rate of 4. 3 is a 16year low. Wholesale side inflation actually dipped in july down 1 10 of a percent from the prior month the first decline in 11 months. Food prices were flat while energy costs were down a bit. Inflation has gradually cooled over the past two months. It takes pressure off the Federal Reserve when it companies to raising interest rates, although the market is still expecting one more move by the end of the year. Its been a tough year for brick and mortar retailers. Macys and kohls reporting earnings that did top expectations even though both saw weaker sales in the 2nd quarter. Positive note from both of those chains is that they saw stronger sales trending higher over the summer. However, investors not all that impressed. Shares of both companies are moving significantly lower in early trading today. And the concerns with north korea continue to weigh on the market. Oakland and vallejo saw jumps of 3 cents a gallon from last month. San jose saw a spike of 4 cents. But when it comes to who is paying most at the pump, thats worse in San Francisco. Drivers are now paying 3. 12 a gallon. So there you go. Yeah. You have to fill up, go to the east bay. I pay more than that on ocean avenue one day, it was almost 4. Oh, boy. Whoo. Yeah. We have been tracking a lot of delays along the eastshore freeway. But now an accident, this is right along northbound 280 approaching highway 101. You can see that its blocking one lane and its starting to back things up a bit so anyone trying to get to 101, youre going to be in for slowdowns heading out of daly city and towards the split there. Our travel times still showing in the green. Five minutes likely to jump up into the yellow here any minute. Were taking it to san mateo bridge, where the eastbound direction no problems if you are heading over towards the east bay, but westbound getting slow as you head out of hayward to foster city. Just under 25 minutes. An accident westbound 580 slowing your ride down if you are trying to get out the door and head to the altamont pass. We have one lane blocked. We are in the red for travel times. We have been looking good all morning around 30 minutes. Now its 47 minutes between 205 and 680. Speaking of 680, we have some brake lights along that southbound direction from 580 to 84. But the real slow route is 880. You can see it from 238 towards decoto road highway 84 just under 20 minutes. The moon will obscure up to 76 of the suns rays in the morning causing a loss of more than 4,000 megawatts of power. There is new information about the Recovery Efforts at the oroville dam. We now know federal disaster officials are giving the state nearly 23 million to help with repairs. The total cost of repairs is expected to be nearly 500 million. The state has asked the federal government to pay up to 75 .
