Extra police are patrolling arroyo trail in livermore after a man attacked a woman sending her to the hospital. A 29yearold Woman Told Police she was walking alone late tuesday afternoon when the man grabbed her from behind and sexually assaulted her on the trail. Its the fourth assault on that trail since 2012. Livermore detectives dont know if the cases are related. Police are searching for a robbery suspect after a high speed chase from fremont to menlo park. The pursuit began yesterday afternoon when officers saw a suspected getaway car from the Home Invasion robbery in fremont. The chase ended at a Business Park in menlo park. Investigators say one suspect fired at fremont and newark officers. Police arrested two of the suspects but the other one got away. No one was hurt. Today the mayor of San Francisco is expected to announce a 3 million plan to equip all Police Officers with body cameras. The mayor ed lees office says about 1600 cameras would have to be purchase amid several Police Controversy in the country most recently the death of a baltimore man while in police custody. Baltimore made it through a second all night curfew with mow major disturbances and now there are new questions about the death of freddie gray which sparked this weeks riots. A report published in the Washington Post wednesday claims a prisoner who was in the same vehicle as gray but could not see him could hear gray banging against the walls. It cites a Baltimore Police document in which the prisoner reportedly says, he believed gray was intentionally trying to injure himself. In response to the post, grays family attorney says, we disagree with any implication that he severed his own spinal cord and question the accuracy of the Police Reports seen thus far. A San Francisco family endured a harrowing 10minutes when a father go out out of a car in the tenderloin yesterday. A man jumped behind the wheel and drove off with the baby in the back seat. A short time later a Police Officer spotted the car near the hall of justice and pulled it over. The baby was safe. We spoke with the mother. [ nonenglish language ] im very relieved to reunite with my baby. Before i could find the baby i was worried. Shes so little. I didnt know what was going to happen to her. Police arrested this man. Witnesses say he put up a fight before officers were finally able to cuff him. Administrators at Berkeley High School Called in the police after hearing of a potential fight on campus yesterday. They were trying to prevent a repeat of a brawl like this one that happened last spring that spread from the campus to downtown berkeley. Administrators heard about the planned fight after a clash between students at Berkeley High and Mcclymonds High School in oakland on tuesday. We have had some incredible reports of possible violent situations that might happen around the campus at lunch or the end of the day. Students say news of a fight often spreads on social media. The Berkeley Police reportedly detained two teens who said they had come for a fight. They also arrested an oakland man with a replica gun. Today the shuttered Corinthian Colleges will temporarily reopen so students can collect their transcripts and get information on how to continue their education. Corinthian which operated colleges under heald and other names abruptly closed due to financial problems. Some local schools are offering to help former students including National University in san jose, jfk university in the san jose and pleasant hill, and city college of San Francisco. Meanwhile a u. S. Education official says former students will automatically have their federal Student Loans discharged but only if they agree to forego any credits they earned at the schools. He is the first candidate to challenge the heavy favorite Hillary Clinton in the democratic primary race. He says he wants to reform the Campaign Finance system and improve the economy. The reality is that if you want to, um, engage in debate, if you want to mobilize people, it is very hard to do it outside of the twoparty system. And the culprit is your car. These types of particles are worsening asthma and intensifying the allergic response. Reporter the numbers show the bay area has come a long way tackling air pollution. When i came off i actually had a film of pollen on my skin and my eyes were swollen and the pine trees havent even started to do their thing. The grasses are just coming into play now, the ragweed hasnt happened yesterday. Todays pollen count is medium to high. Extremely dry conditions today and tomorrow. We are the recipients of an offshore flow as this High Pressure builds into the bay area. As it progresses east, well see the return of the marine layer and the cooler temperatures. Heres a look at the bay bridge toll plaza. No delay even in the cash lanes. Everything is still quiet into San Francisco. Eastbound roadwork continues scheduled until 9 00 according to caltrans eastbound 580 from the Livermore Valley beginning somewhere around airway and continuing into the altamont pass. But its westbound from 205 that we are beginning to see those usual delays just kind of little bit of brake lights there to about north flynn and then it picks up again. Heres a live look at the san mateo bridge. No delays but roadwork continues westbound and eastbound. Eastbound is scheduled until 11 a. M. Like it often it. 880 should be picked up any minute now if it isnt already. It was scheduled until 5 00 southbound 880 from 98th to davis between oakland and san leandro. The drive time is still in the green though in both directions between 238 and the maze. Either way you go, its about 15 minutes right now so overall things look good. They havent run a traffic break or anything that we have seen to really halt the traffic there put a stop to it as you head past the Oakland Airport and coliseum. All mass transit is on time. She was snorkeling about 200 yards offshore yesterday morning when she had bite wounds to her upper torso. Nearby divers brought her back to the beach where paramedics tried to save her life. They started resuscitative efforts, cpr, and we waited for medics and continued that upon the arrival, but she succumbed to her injuries. Definitely a sad situation and our condolences to the family and friends. This is the first deadly shark attack in hawaii this year.
