A suspected carjacker is in the hospital after being shot by San Francisco police. It happened last night in the bayview. Officers spotted a bmw that had been stolen at gunpoint on monday. After a short chase. Police cornered the driver in a culde sac. But he didnt give up. The bmw threw itself into reverse, striking one of the officers. That officer was then knocked to the ground. The bmw repositioned itself and was about to go forward, the officer was vulnerable. Butt to. Two of his brother officers fired at the bmw, striking the driver one time. The officer was not badly hurt. The suspect is in stable condition. This is the sixth Bay Area Police shooting in as many days. The first shooting happened last thursday night. When Sonoma County deputies shot and killed a suspected kidnapper. Bay area police shot and killed four more times over the weekend.
