>> reporter: michelle, unless the polls are way off, it willing a big night for hillary clinton and donald trump. the media almost makes it sound like it's still a horse race. hillary clinton is the presumptive nominee at this point and it would take upsets by bernie sanders that was never seen before for her to be unseated. the trump story is closer. it could come down to a photo finish. trump is likely to win maybe all five states today. but the question is how many delegates will he get? in pennsylvania for example, a lot of states like maryland where i live, we vote today. there are delegate that -- delegates that you vote for, and it tells you who they belong to, but not in pennsylvania. you may not know who you are even voting for. >> so, marc, the big news earlier this week was the alliance. any everyday that that is having an impact? >> reporter: yes. good morning. it's a gloomy day here in the area as intel tries to figure out the next big thing in technology. intel has filed documents saying it would eliminate 12,000 jobs, and 296 positions in santa clara, 269 jobs gone from folsom and the rest throughout the global operations which include arizona, oregon, and new mexico. intel did not publically share details of the severance packages. intell will in--intel will pay for up to a year of medical insurance. revenues of pcs are down 14% as people are buying more phones and tabletses and fewer laptops and desktops. employees in arizona were upset. >> it sucks. the economy is bad and nothing we can coabout -- do about it, i guess. >> reporter: layoff notifications should be complete by the end of the week but some employees will not know their fate until 2017. kiet do, kpix 5. and protesters outside a police station on monday crowding in the mission, angry over denied access to the station's bathrooms. after the loud confrontation, police backed down. the group started a hunger strike on friday. they are protesting police shootings and demanding the mayor and chief resign. we have another check on weather with roberta. you are sniffling a bit? >> reporter: you know, i have to say there is a blissful peace of mind that renters have, never worrying about the boiler falling apart or the roof leaking. it's just a call to a landlord, and flexibility. that might allow to you grab a better job in a different city or state and while renting can fulfill a sense of freedom, i want to point out that homeowners will say there are psychic benefits of taking the plunge and owning a home. you know what? your rent. compare that to a fixed motor -- mortgage that will remain stable. there is a buy versus rent calculator by the new york times. know the information before you make your decision. >> all right. jill schlesinger, thank you. coming up, a woman takes her dog for a walk but not in the way you think. the shocking video next. ,,,,,,,, sparking outrage online. take a look... a woman driving nearby recorded this her cell phone. video of a woman dragging her dog down a stockton street is sparking outrage online. a woman driving nearby recorded this video on her cell phone saying she confronted the woman but the driver didn't seem to care. >> you have a dog and don't feel like getting out to walk it, you shouldn't have a dog. it's dangerous all the way around. >> local animal control officers say this is not okay and could be considered animal abuse. they are trying to track down the driver with the plates on the car but the vehicle hasn't been registered in years. a sheriffs sergeant had to push this car off the road from sanar close, and the car somehow ended underneath it. the woman had just slammed into a fire station and a safeway store and reportedly wouldn't stop. >> the car was going in the wrong lane. it seemed real dangerous. when the car hit the pole, it kind of bounced a little. the patrol car wednesday underneath the back of it. >> the driver and sergeant suffered minor injuries but it could have been worse because the streets were packed. the bay area commuters are looking at a traffic alert. bad news unfortunately with highway 1 shut down at devil's slide between pacifica and montera state beach. this is a fatal accident, and at last check to open at least one lane, we are waiting for updates on that. but right now, use the alternate, a long way around, 92 to 280. now, the good news is 280 we have this northbound at edgewood that has cleared and all lanes are open. so things should be moving along nice there. jumping over to the east bay, southbound 880 coming away from 238, an accident at 92 that is over to the right shoulder now and we had a broken-down vehicle at 8 street and added to the delays heading towards it is san mateo bridge. once you get on the bridge, traffic is moving just fine. no delays from hayward into foster city. other trouble spots, westbound 24, over on the right shoulder, activity with the traffic moving okay through walnut creek and orinda and if you are headed towards the bay bridge, the metering lights turned on at 5:28 this morning and traffic is backed up into the maze and the approach is slowing down just a bit, 880 and southbound 101 to 580, a 14- minute ride into the toll plaza. and stacked up out of tracy into livermore, 26 miles per hour some spots. but it looks betters at the 680 interchange. that's a look at the morning drive. roberta, it's cool getting out the door. it is cool. and now, the highest mount in the va ca mountains will receive winter snow usually but not so much today. we have clear skies and temperatures dipping into the 40s. but oakland, 54. the winds 24 hours ago up to 22 miles per hour and this morning except for the fairfield, we're at 13. winds problematic again today, northwest up to 30 miles per hour. we have a clear slot right there. here's what you need to know. bright sunshine for openers and increasing clouds, increasing winds, and also, we will have rain tomorrow but minimal in most areas. pollen is up, and blame it on the oak and mulberry and grass, medium to high. the area of low pressure, a beautiful system that is disappointing me. this morning, the computer models are downplaying this area of low pressure. our futurecast clearly illustrates clouds on the increase and here come the rain showers. we will have the potential of an afternoon thunderstorm continuing with small hail, and along the coast, a .25", generally, most of us about .015". in the high sierra, 30 going to 51. our sunup at 6:19. you can expect 60s for the most part and a few low 70s away from the bay, and there is the week, summertime in the bay area by sunday. that's a look at your weather forecast. now, back to hans and chewy. >> which one is chewy?
