much different just a few hours ago as thousands showed up for this game. the energy out here was insane. and, of course, the game was sold out. it's hours before tip-off. already, oracle arena is scene. we'll bring you updates just as soon as we get them. right out of a james bond movie, a burglary suspect leads police on a rooftop chase in san francisco's russian hill neighborhood. kpix 5's mark kelly on the getaway gone wrong reporter: this is no movie set, but the armed burglary on russian hill today had all the trappings of a feature film. a crushed car, investigators scouring rooftops for evidence. >> nothing like this has ever happened here. >> reporter: san francisco police say the suspects burglarized an apartment around 8:45 this morning on pacific. according to police it was his second break-in. the suspect held a victim at gunpoint around the corner. >> you see this more often. it makes you wonder. >> reporter: it got tense for police. it is here on leavenworth where the police say the suspect pointed his gun at police before flowing on foot. attempting a daring escape from the cops, witnesses say the suspect headed to the highest point possible, the roof. >> then went jumping like in the movie roof to roof to roof to roof and then jumped off the last one. >> reporter: right off this three-story building and through this tree before landing on an audi parked at the corner of pacific and hyde. >> we heard this loud noise. feel sorry for the owner. >> reporter: it cut down the powell street cable car line giving tourists a san francisco story they won't soon forget. >> bizarre. >> reporter: mark kelly, kpix 5. >> sfpd says the suspect a man in his 30s had nonlife- threatening injuries and once he is released from the hospital he will be book on charges ranging from false imprisonment to burglary. san francisco police have identified the officers involved in this deadly shooting of a homeless man in the mission direct last week. sergeant nate sager and officer michael malone fired four beanbags and seven bullets at luis gongora in less than 30 seconds. they say the suspect was running at them with a knife. officer malone made headlines last year for being the first san francisco police officer to administer life-saving medicine to a man who overdosed on heroin. developing news in the south bay. a grisly discovery in saratoga. police say they got a call about 11:00 this morning that the decomposed body of a man was found behind the saratoga pet spa on big basin way. a man in the area told officers that he smelled something strange and decided to investigate. inside a storage cabinet he found the remains. >> he has been deceased for some time now. out of abundance of caution we called out our homicide detectives and csi team but right now we just consider this a suspicious death. >> police say they don't yet know who the man is or how he died. clean-up is under way after a fire in san francisco's marina district. the home at 3627 scott street received extensive damage from the smoke and flames. the house next door was also damaged. no injuries and no word on the cause. and a tanker spill forced a shutdown of a major intersection in newark for several hours. the truck hit a fire hydrant at newark and cedar boulevard just before 4 a.m. the collision ruptured the tanks spilling gas into the road. hazmat had the mess cleaned up and the roads reopened in about two hours. well, the pope returned to the vatican with some special guests. after a trip to greece, how he hoped it will true attention to the migration the prince george's county fire department and a 19-year-old volunteer firefighter were struck by bullets fired from inside a residence where they were answering a welfare check. the 19-year-old will survive. the gunman is in custody. in efforts to highlight the needs of refugees, pope francis brought 12 syrian migrants to rome from greece. the three families joined the pontiff on his charter in terms of the surface winds. tomorrow low to mid-80s inland. cherry blossom festival as well this weekend in japantown in san francisco. it will be sunny and warm and things looking good! and here's how we look with the high building a warming trend continues in the bay area this weekend. low pressure over the desert southwest and also that is a smaller low over the gulf of alaska neither of san rafael 48 degrees. oakland 50. 48 in fremont and numbers around the bay area for tomorrow, well above average. 16 degrees above average in san francisco at 79 degrees. concord at 83. san jose 85. and in oakland 84 degrees. averages this time of the year mostly in the 60s. so let's look at some of the numbers. 84 for palo alto. 87 at campbell. mid- to upper 80s for much of the south bay even in pacifica tomorrow 82 degrees. east bay the numbers will be in the upper 80s. lots of 88s and not far behind in the 680 corridor dublin and pleasanton in the mid-80s. up in novato and in san rafael and in petaluma, near 80 degrees. and along the shoreline, stinson beach, nice day at the beach there, 77. bodega bay 73 degrees. and a warm one for you in ukiah in lake poured and cloverdale all mid- to upper 80s. saint helena tomorrow 87 degrees. we are going to be looking forward for 80s tomorrow. cooling down monday. and then more dramatic cooling coming in mid-70s for tuesday and wednesday. thursday we really bring the numbers down until on friday, we get a chance of rain, saturday is up in the air right now. we don't know about next weekend. we'll broad brush it with partly cloudy
