There two masked men robbed and beat him at gunpoint. Later that night, 55 year old sami amin picked up a fare in south reno, drove him to the 900 block of wheeler avenue, where he was shot. Amin died later at a local hospital. Investigators in both cities had immediate leads. A wallet austin orris was found in amins cab. He was traced to an address within a block of the murder scene. Within five days they had issued an arrest warrant. Eight days later he was located in california where he had been arrested on unrelated domestic battery charges.
