now 45 degrees in the north bay all clear skies and nothing to worry about until we go into the afternoon, spotty showers popping up in parts of the east bay and the tri-valley. else where, we'll see a mix of sun and clouds and gusty winds as our temperatures come down a few more degrees. i'll talk more about that and what to expect the rest of this workweek. that's coming up. let's head over to anthony for a look at traffic. >> for this weekend and into the rest of the workweek. talk about the traffic and things are moving smooth across the east bay and moving. a little bit of a stall there approaching walnut creek but not seeing anything of concern this monday morning. an event this evening just keep in mind the sharks have taken on the l.a. kings around 7:00. extra traffic around san jose and right now looking pretty good. guys, back to you. >> thank you very much. following developing news. an easter celebration overseas that took a deadly turn. a suicide attack in pakistan hitting close to home for some folks here in the bay area. dozens of people were killed. hundreds more, more than 300 injured when a suicide bomber blew himself up at a park. most of thoseivisms women and children. a san jose student said it was painful to see that video of yesterday's attack. >> we can't do anything for them. be far away from them. >> we're told the park is a place where many people go to relax and meet friends. a group related to the taliban is taking credit for that attack. the state department says the u.s. will continue to work with pakistan to combat the threat of terrorism. we're updating this breaking story and just download our free app to get the latest information or check out our twitter feed. the man accused of murdering an 8-year-old girl is due in court later this morning. opening statements are expected to start in the trial of this man, darnell williams. you might recall williams allegedly shot and killed while she was at a sleepover back in july of 2013. he is charged with first degree murder and williams is charged with killing a 22-year-old man in an unrelated shooting. and closing arguments are expected to han as early as today in the case of a former stanford swimmer who is accused of assault. he is accused of assaulting a woman outside a fraternity house. two people passing by claim they found turner on top of the victim. during the trial the victim testifies she blacked out from drinking and has no memory of the incident. hateful graffiti now covered up but the second time that one city has dealt with this problem this month alone. nbc bay area christie smith has more on the graffiti that is concerning a lot of oresidents there. >> reporter: the racial slurs were quickly painted over by city workers, but the impact didn't go away that easily. >> it's kind of shocking considering it is like a nice area. >> very offensive. very offensive. i normally bring my kids to this park. so, i for sure wouldn't want them to see that. >> reporter: it was near the top ground playground. san leandro police were notified, but say much of the graffiti appears to be gang related. >> the graffiti was done by a hayward-based gang and our investigators are looking into the possibility of who the suspects can be right now. we don't believe this is a white supremest gay gang. >> reporter: gang crimes are a minimal in the city. they call this unacceptable and say there are real questions. >> why would a gang that has different ethnicities as the members in that gang spray paint the words that are on the wall this morning targeting a primarily african-american. >> reporter: racist graffiti that appeared on a school district office. some believe it was about getting attention and they are glad it it got painted over. christie smith, "today in the bay." the report out this morning will clear up some issues behind a teacher strike. at 9:00 this morning a fact finders report will be released adjusting how to resolve the cal state pay dispute. the union representing teachers are expected to issue shortly after that release. if it cannot be resolved, they're still threatening to walk off the job for the first time. april 13th through april 15th. coming off of a holiday weekend and a lot of people getting outside after they celebrated easter. the beach to the coastline, the weather was that nice. >> it was lovely, no wet easter egg hug. it was great. >> it was beautiful. today we're in for some minor tweaks to that forecast. and some minor changes as we go into the next few days. now, it's 50 degrees in concord and oakland and 47 degrees in livermore and looking at the possibility of some spotty, light showers over parts of the east bay, as some rain gets fired up over the central valley. that may reach far enough east into the tri-valley and parts of the east bay but the rest of the bay area, it does look to stay dry. high temperatures coming back down into the lower 60s today. some upper 50s right along the coast. i'll show you what to expect the rest of the week and we'll talk more about that slight chance of rain coming up in less than ten minutes. let's head over to the tri-valley now with anthony. >> that's where we'll start off talking about things. moving smoothly here this early morning across the tri-valley. no fog to report of and traffic moving without a problem near 580 towards dublin. i'll show you we have slowing on 84 coming through the sunol grade and nuthing to be concerned about just the typical slowing and the few more cars on the twists and turns. across the peninsula, no problems. but, otherwise, things have been pretty good back to you. >> thank you very much. coming up next, no monday blues for senator bernie sanders who slowed front-runner hillary clinton's momentum with some wins of his own this weekend. and live pictures from brussels this morning or afternoon. in europe right now at 4:37. two more americans confirmed dead over the weekend as the afternoon and a tragic update to the story there this morning. two more americans are now among the confirmed dead bringing that u.s. death toll to four. the state department has not released the victim's identities, but it comes shortly after the announcement that an american couple living in brussels was also killed in the explosion. justin and stephanie shults were seeing off her mother when the bombs went off. president obama offered his condolences to their family. after a big weekend for bernie sanders, the week ahead looks a little quiet in the race of the white house. >> quiet as in no primaries or caucuses and "today in the bay" tracie potts has more on the attacks flying on the campaign trail. >> reporter: donald trump, ted cruz and john kasich answer voter questions at a town hall in milwaukee tomorrow. vying for 42 delegates in wisconsin next week. like cruz, kasich is now backing off his pledge to support donald trump if trump wins the nomination. >> we're going to look at it every single day and we'll see what happens when we got a long way to go and i don't want to project that he's going to be the nominee. >> reporter: trump and cruz are still trading personal attacks. the latest, trump insists cruz planted this tabloid story. >> this story is garbage. it is tabloid smear. >> for him to try and say that i had to do it to try to put the shoe on the other foot is disgraceful. >> reporter: bernie sanders off the campaign trail today after winning washington state, alaska and hawaii last weekend. pressed on whether he'd support hillary clinton nominee. >> too early to talk about that right now. right now we have a lot of momentum. >> reporter: he's pushing to win the majority of wisconsin's 96 delegates and wants to debate clinton in her home state, new york. the polls are tight in wisconsin on both sides with frontrunners clinton and trump leading on average by just two points. tracie potts, nbc news, washington. >> all right. always, thank you, tracie. much calmer here at home. >> indeed, as we look live in downtown san jose. the sun not close to coming up just yet. we have your forecast for when it does. a check of weather and traffic and clear skies all weekend and nothing really to complain about on that front. >> absolutely beautiful and sometimes we have the easter egg hunt and all the dye runs off when it rains. none of that. >> none of that. it was sunny. just beautiful for whatever you had going on over the weekend. cool temperatures, once again. 47 degrees in the east bay and north bay at 45 degrees. make sure you have on a nice, warm jacket as you get the day started and 42 degrees in hayward and 47 in dublin and walnut creek at 43 degrees. in the south bay now, 48. so, taking it hour by hour in san jose. we will start out, of course, with still more cool temperatures but sunny skies. all of that sunshine continues all throughout the day and highs reaching the upper 50s to lower 60s. so t will be cooler than yesterday and that will be the difference you'll notice this afternoon. we'll also have a couple of spotty, light showers developing over the central valley and it may just be enough to move over the east bay hills. but we're not expecting much of that to move into the bay area. we continue on with a mix of sun and clouds and, once again, the temperatures that will be cooler again tomorrow than yesterday. up to 60 degrees in losgastos. santa rosa 62 degrees and 64 degrees in brentwood and danville at 63 degrees. as we go into the next few days, we will be below average because of that push of cool air that is rolling in today and also be windy. keep that in mind as we go into the next few days in san francisco and only be making it into the lower 60s. all of the rain staying well to the north of us and over the past three days, temperatures in the 70s. windy and cooler as this area of low pressure drops in from the north. also producing some snow in the sierra. so, we'll talk more about that in a little bit. but take a look at these temperatures, once again. the seven-day forecast at the bottom of the screen where we will have cool weather for the next couple of days and then we'll gradually warm it up as we go through the rest of the week. now, let's head to the north bay with anthony. >> hey, good morning. looking at things pretty light. no rain, no fog. things are clear and we have a nice, smooth drive coming in from the north bay. you can see this is from san rafael and cars moving into the city without a problem. switch over to the maps and show you what we're talking about. lots of green on the maps and any concerns, any problems, any slowing and good news from the north bay and no concerns there. across the east bay, we do have a stall at walnut creek on 680 northbound that has created some slowing and same deal across the east bay and the peninsula. no concerns early this morning. x guys, back to you. who do you think is more addicted to their tech devices? teenagers or the grown ups? >> i don't know. the answers might surprise you. i sleep with my phone. maybe landon does, too. for that and the rest of your news thursday ahead of the holiday weekend. lows of economic data on the consumer, housing and manufacturing and it is all topped off by the monthly jobs report out on friday. the dow rising 13 points on thursday to 17515. a new survey finds that two-thirds of millennials are saving 5% of their income. that's up from 52% last year and more than any other age group. only 50% of older adults are saving that amount overall. about 21% of employed americans say they're not saving any of their paychecks. meanwhile, you think teenagers are more addicted to their tech devices than adults, but adults have a harder time putting down their phones, tablets or labtops and baby boomers are the most distracted age group. these are the most likely to eat breakfast, lunch or dinner text free followed by degrees for a high and 43 tomorrow and then nice and warm on wednesday at 56 degrees. i'll talk more about our forecast coming up. let's head to the bay bridge now with anthony. >> the bay bridge is all lit up right now. cars starting to pile in across some of the fastrak lanes here. folks getting an early start and no concerns, just fastrak is starting to pile up there. that one little lone stranger. don't back up, don't back up. there you go. keeping it all in line. let's talk about the rest of the bay area. walnut creek looking pretty good. earlier stall on 680 cleared and the rest of turned out for the biggest little parade in san francisco. even smaller than the one that anthony just did. the 25th annual easter parade marching down union street between golf and fill more. >> i wanted to do something more with her where i knew there would be a lot of kids she could see and activities and what not. and she's having fun so far. >> one of the main attractions is, of course, the easter bonnet contest where kids, adults even pets win prizes for the most outrageous easter hats. pope francis delivered his easter message in front of tens of thousands of people in st. peter's square. denounced terrorism with the recent attacks in belgium, turkey and iraq. he drove through the square as the crowd cheered and waved. kris, menti mentioned a loc easter egg hunt. people stopped to celebrate the holiday. san francisco's glide memorial church held its easter service with plenty of music and clapping and festivities. even though it's an institution in san francisco's tenderloin. the church is always in need of a little extra help. >> what we need more volunteers because there are more people and there's less money. so, therefore, we really need more people to volunteer. >> william says that upwards of 10,000 people volunteered to help glide serve the poor. meals are served every day, but easter and christmas are especially well attended. this is almost a rhetorical question at this point, but just to ask it anyway. did you fill out a bracket? you are in the lead? are you sure about that? >> i didn't even do this year. a lot of people are asking
