Christina grimmie made it big on season six of the voice bringing with her millions of followers from youtube and social media. In fact, she posted on snapchat hours before her performance encouraging fans to see a show that tragically would be her last. Please come to the show if you live near orlando. Reporter Christina Grimmie full of life and cheerful. The 22yearold singer and former contestant on the voice. Released this video on social media before her latest concert in orlando. Hours after this video was taken, a male suspect approached grimmie as she signed autographs for fans. The suspect walked up and shot christina. At that point, we know her brother tackled the suspect and thats when the suspect shot himself. Reporter the gunman, dead. His motive, unknown. The attacker had two guns on him. Grimmie was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition. Shortly after, her publicist confirmed that she succumbed to her injuries. Christina has passed and went home to be with the lord. I came in reporter grimmie was third runner up on the voice on adam levines team. She was popular on youtube. The prayforchristina was popular overnight. And demi lovato tweeted she had prayers for her loved ones. Her brother was a hero for stopping violence from anyone else. Back to you guys. Thank you, morgan. I woke up on the east coast here and heard she was shot. The bad news of her passing, of course. I mean, it is just so sad. So young. This was a girl and people say the phrase, soandso was a nice person. Such a sweet person. Christina really was. She was special. She was special. She would walk in the room. She had an infectious laugh. Im surprised she did not win season six. Her star was shining so bright which makes this tragedy that much harder this morning. As a show, were thinking about her. Her mom and dad and brother who was heroic last night. Its tough, craig. This really is. Another senseless loss to gun violence. How many times do we do these stories . She was a crowd favorite. In the northeast, especially because of all the big cities that will see effects of the thunderstorms. We could see delays at airports. We dont have a big threat of tornadoes. This is more of a gusty wind threat. Gusting up to 50 or 60 Miles Per Hour. Doesnt look like a lot right now. Davenport, spotty showers. North of syracuse. We will see pockets of heavy rain. Nothing severe right now. We have the right set up to see the chance of severe storms. Huge ridge in the middle of the country. Its high heat and humidity which will fuel the storms. Add that to the cold front and thats going to be the trigger for the storms later on this afternoon. Keep in mind they are scattered. Not everyone will see a storm later on today. Were they do develop, they could potentially be severe. We could see gusts up to 50 or 60 miles an hour. A couple of zones across the northeast, pennsylvania, new jersey and new york and southern new england. Some hail up to 1 inch in diamet diameter. When you load the plates, make sure they are facing inside where the water pumps in the center of the dish washwashedis. There is nothing worse than going to bed and you hear the dishes clink together. Dish washing loading is a point of contention. What about flatware . I would put them face down. You put them up. Nesting is where the spoons go up. You do this, this, this. Thats how do you it. The other tip that my plumber told me. Before you start the dishwasher, put the hot water on for 30 seconds. The first water that hits your dishes is going to be hot. Loading pans. How do we do that . A lot of people do wrong is they want to stick their pans all over the dishwasher and cram them in. Do not put your pans here. That prohibits the dispenser from opening up and soap from coming in. You should put them on the sides and back of the dishwasher. That will get them clean. Quickly before we get to the laundry. The rinse stuff . Use or dont use . Absolutely. New dishwashers use less water. This helps glasses to not look spotty. Either way, before we forget. Do not do this. And the actual compartment. Who knew people were doing that. A lawyer told me she was doing this and her dishes were filthy. It comes out in the first water. Some people do it all in cold or hot to save money. The new washers use a lot less water. It is better to do smaller loads that are appropriately sorted. How do we sort . It is very important to look at the care label. You are doing all the things i dont do. Once you look at it, you remember. If it says warm, do it it warm. The warmer the temperature, the cleaner your clothes. Dont use hot unless something is very dirty. It is very rough on the clothes. Clothes will last longer on warm or cold. Lets get to the soap. I saw detergent 5 for 1. How bad can it be . The most important thing is how much you use. Six times or eight times concentrated. Read the directions on the bottle. I remember looking at the competition and think maybe there is a bit of a chance. Im here. 100 chance. Amazing. You just didnt know it. James, what was the process like going through submissions . I did not go through thousands. Master class went through thousands. I went through about 35. They got it down and we took it to three. What was it about the story . One its a really cool idea. I dont want to get into it. We still have to write it. It is about some very sexy robots. Ill leave it at that. Sexy robots. Really cool idea. The best idea, by far. How incredible is it to hear james talking about your story idea the way he is . Im still pinching myself this entire time. When he called to say i won, i screamed in his ear. I was so excited. Thats still a little you have been writing since you were young. A journalist from pennsylvania. Have you ever written anything with someone before . I have worked as a ghost writer, but it was all non fiction. This is new for me. My name gets to be on a book with James Patterson. How do you divide up the writing . This is different than what i normally do because almost always the books i do is my idea. Ill write the outline. In this case, it was keishas idea. She wrote the outline. I talked to her a little bit about how maybe to make the outline better. She will give me 30 or 40 pages at a time and well talk about it. This is all because of master class. You are a huge proponent of it. Why is it unique and exciting platform . Its a good idea. The idea of going online and helping people to realize their dreams. You can keep them better cooled and fit in basket, but when you finally make the sandwich there, it will be better. If you make a sandwich the night before or morning and you are sipping wine. It is smushy. Nobody wants a sweaty sandwich. Show me what were making. This is a simple sandwich. Were making my goto Chicken Salad. Easy and full of texture. It is a perfect summer bite. It looks simple. Here is one of the issues. Many people, chicken, the thought of making chicken. That overwhelms them. What is it about the dish that makes it easy to prepare at home . We are using the sides. Im not ready. We will use these. We are shredding them . You can char these on the grill. It gives them a nice dimension. If i didnt like chicken . Shrimp is a great substitute. I will serve one in the picnic basket. You can do chicken or shrimp as your main. Scallions . Parsley or taragon. I like celery and cucumber. I like texture. We have veggies and protein. You are juicing it up for us. Yes. We have lemon juice in here. And now we will make the sauce on the side. It is so easy. We have mayo, mustard. Dijon. Worcestershire. And lemon juice. A lot of acid will give it punch. Chicken salad. Thats my friend. Mixing it up. There you go. Ill not use the whisk. Ill use the spoon. I like it to be creamy. You like a juicy.
