clouds coming in. a good sunset cloudsa like to say. ice crystals in the cirrus clouds. and 70 in sonnol along 680 and 65 degrees in san francisco with overcast eyes and in haeldsberg and some of the warmest temperatures north of the golden gate around santa rosa and sonoma should see low 80s and trending warmer approaching tuesday. so the source of the sunset clouds we're seeing right now, high clouds moving down the coast and an interesting air flow pattern as we have upper level winds that are off shore around that counterclockwise area of rotation, low pressure and this made a mess from the end of your forecast. a lot of rain. way above average for may. as the low scotts by to the south. behind that departing low we have a taste of north winds picking up which is allowing with the clear skies for most of the day temperatures to climb 5 to 10 degrees warmer and this will continue into the next few days. so these wind speeds at times north bay hills and along the coast may see gusts approaching 35 miles per hour as high pressure builds strongly across northern california. and wind in the north bay, some 40s to low 50s to start the day and in the afternoon mostly sunny skies. a tad breezy from northwest winds, 10 to 20 around san jose and highs close to 80 around downtown san jose. tri-valley up to concord and should see upper 70s and low 80s. mid-70s around palo alto. cooler toward the coast. winds not strong off shore. so we are not seeing mid to upper 70s along the beaches but south of downtown san francisco may see low 70s tomorrow and upper 70s to low 80s in the forecast for the north bay. so the temperature trend tomorrow, continuing what we had today, breezy at times, a couple of degrees warmer and tuesday is the warmest day of the week but tuesday evening a big reversal as that sea breeze kicks in. it is going to bring in low clouds and likely drizzle for wednesday morning and that cooldown will be anchored by an area of low pressure which isn't going anywhere. it is the reason why next weekend we'll see continued cooling through the 14th and could see it as well as we go into at least beyond next weekend. so we'll see temperatures in the 60s and 70s around san francisco through tuesday and inland warmest days of the week also monday and tuesday. then a big drop wednesday. as the sea breeze begins to pick up. >> and for more on our
