None of the officers were injured. Police are not saying how many shots were fired or what kind of knife the man was carrying. Reporter the teacher pipeline cratered for many reasons including layoffs and low salaries, but for the first time in years theres a trickle that could translate into good news. Enrollment is up in the teacher credential program. I fought it for a long time. All through my undergrad. I tried to change majors. I tried. And last year i worked fulltime in the classroom. And i thought stop fighting it. Apply for the credential program. I know im not going to have to stress out like people did years ago about finding a job your first year. Most of our graduates last year had offers from more than one district. Reporter interim dean jim zarillo says she expects it to increase because the job market is strong. Students are demanding an end to tuition, the cancellation of student debt and a 15 an hour minimum wage at every college campus. This student has to hold down two jobs just to get by. The protesters marched to the Chancellors Office where they hung signs showing just how much student debt they shoulder. The nearby lake county Animal Shelter was busting with animals of every kind. 27 cats, chickens to rabbits, pigs, goats, horses, two chickens, snakes turtles, koi fish. 90 had been reunited. Reporter two weeks ago the shelter put the remaining unclaimed pets up for adoption. There were a line of cars all the way out and people at front door wanting to have these animals. You can see the stream of moisture heading into canada, washington and also oregon. Eventually were going to see this line of rainfall drop down to the bay area and give us a chance of rain. Heres the thing. Tomorrow it stays dry. We have High Pressure off shore shielding us from any kind of activity. It will actually warm up with isolated 70s and a nice day on friday. And through all of saturday, at least in the day part, it will stay dry. Temperatures will gradually drop off as our storm system gets close. And it looks like the storm system will be getting here by early sunday morning. Totals range from a tenth of an inch to 0. 35. Theres nothing that shows the storm system breaking apart. Thats the good news. How much rainfall would we get with those higher totals . Right up here into the north bay. Possibly 0. 35 inches of rain. Once you get south of San Francisco, look, its still decent here. It should hold up through San Francisco down to san jose with about a quarter of an inch. Two days in a row with totals like this.
