One. Two men in a white or silver van pulled up, grabbed a young woman and pulled her into the van and sexually assaulted her. Police say this is what the two men look like. They are described as hispanic men in their 30s. After attacking the girl the suspects dropped her off just a few blocks from where she was abducted. Residents say while they have heard of some crimes in the area they were shocked to hear about the sexual assault. Its a pretty good neighborhood but it has its pockets. Honestly it is not the first time i hear of crimes in the neighborhood. Reporter this is a very busy intersection and you can see that Westgate Mall is right behind me. There is a big target here. Across the street there is another mall and the big intersection of saratoga avenue. Investigators are really hoping that someone saw something around 4 00 in the afternoon last tuesday. Police looking for a man accused of performing lewd acts it happened twice near san mateo high school. The first incident happened when a 15yearold girl said she was followed by a white car driven by a hispanic man. The driver made eye contact with the girl and appeared to be touching himself. Friday morning a man with the same description spotted near the wood lake shopping center. The Police Department is working closely with the high school to alert students and faculty about the situation. A dangerous street in San Francisco claims another life. The stockton street tunnel was closed for hours today after a driver hit and killed a pedestrian. Nbc bay areas Christie Smith live at that intersection. Neighbors say accidents like this happen all the time there. Reporter you know that is exactly right. We spoke with people who live and work nearby and they say that it is always a challenge for pedestrians to get by safely because the area is so crowded. We have china town and union square and drivers who are impatient and move through the intersection. Today a woman was hit and killed trying to cross stockton street. The driver did stay at the scene but was later arrested on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter. Police say the man tried to make the left turn into the tunnel as the woman was crossing. Police say it is unclear who had the green light and the right of way. The driver apparently had the green light but he didnt wait. That is a very common thing where you see drivers even though they have the light they go through as people are trying to cross over. Without seeing it myself i suspect that was what happened. Reporter again police say they are still trying to get to the bottom of who had the green light. The driver stayed at the scene. The stockton tunnel was closed for about three hours and opened early this afternoon. San Francisco Police say they are asking for witnesses to come forward and give them a call. Reporting live in San Francisco, Christie Smith, nbc bay area news. Thanks very much. The family of a man shot and killed by a Richmond Police officer say they plan to file a lawsuit. They held a protest. He was killed saturday claimed he attempted to grab an officers gun. Family members say the 24yearold victim was unarmed and at no time attempted to take that officers gun. Familys lawyer says even though the victim was drinking at the time the officer had many more options. The kid was obviously under the influence. That is what tasers are about and what batons are about. A person under the influence like he may have been does not justify the use of deadly force. This afternoons protest followed a funeral this morning for the victim. And the fire burning out of control in El Dorado County firefighters say the flames scorched an additional six miles overnight about 60 miles east of sacramento. Several homes are confirmed destroyed. The teams have been unable to get an exact number. Homeowners say they have been nervous since being evacuated on tuesday. I cleaned up a little bit just to make it so there was a chance if the fire came through. 2,800 people were evacuated at the time. More than 21,000 structures are threatened. The fire is about 10 contained and 80,000 acres burned since last saturday. Rob mayeda joining us now. Fire crews looking for relief. Right now we have thunderstorms moving in from the south. While that could be good news in the form of rain of course that will bring lightning which could impact the fire crews there. They will have to take shelter. Sudden wind shifts become likely and with the 80,000 plus acres that burned mudslide is another issue there. This is the short term forecast. We will see winds increasing as we head towards the middle part of the week. The radar very close to where the king fire is. Most lightning south of highway 50. Here is the perimeter of the fire. We think the showers will drift but some will try to drift into the Central Valley and perhaps make a run at the inner east bay valleys overnight tonight. You can see moisture is on the west flank of the sierra and rotating a little bit off to the north and northwest away from the sierra tonight. There is a chance some of this moisture as you can also see out towards dublin may try to creep in or maybe eastern almeida county. You see here in the future cast looking at high clouds coming in from the east. That is what you are seeing right there into tomorrow morning. Along the peninsula and coast you see low clouds and drizzle as we go through mid day tomorrow and partly cloudy skies. Mild finish. Sea breeze keeps temperatures running mostly in the 70s to low 80s. Lots of 60s on the coast. A better chance of seeing rain unlike what is left of the sierra thunder showers. The low anchored across Southern California will try to spill moisture to the west but most action will continue to be in the sierra. We see an early season weather system there.
