Bodies, two people dead on the bed. Police say there is no indication of exactly what happened, was it an accident, a crime, a suicide . All questions investigators are trying to figure out. Of course, in the surrounding rooms customers are trying to figure out what went on here and if they should be afraid. Again, two people found dead at the easy 8 motel, were told the coroner is on the way. Nannette, thank you very much. And a developing story in San Francisco where two people were shot near hill top park. The paramedics rushed the two people to the hospital and they have lifethreatening injuries, police are searching for the shooters. And police have not released the identities of the people responsible for the stabbings in a house in Almaden Valley in charter oak place. When say when they arrived they found a man dead from stab wounds. He died a short time later at the hospital. There is also a female victim. The suspect is either the victims son or stepson. The investigators have not yet identified a motive. This is san joses 24th homicide this year. This time last year san jose had 30 homicides. The chp is investigating a hitandrun in vallejo, the chp says the victim was running east at the toll plaza just after midnight. Chp Officials Say that several vehicles hit and then ran over the victim. Three drivers pulled over but chp officials believe that somebody else hit the victim first. The initial victim that hit the pedestrian most likely would be blameless under the circumstances. But for some reason we dont know yet. They failed to stop. Now, the victim died at the scene. None of the people who stopped after hitting the victim were arrested. Authorities are looking for other drivers who may have been involved. New details tonight on the person who died in a freak accident near petaluma. The chp identified the person as 32yearold dwayne usher of vallejo, who died f when a portable pizza oven came unhooked. The oven slammed into a car carrying usher and his family. The victims wife and two children were taken to the hospital. A bus carrying firefighters stopped to help. The bus carrying the trailer did cooperate with chp. Lightning started it and firefighters are trying to gain control of a fire. Two dozen firefighters and a dozen helicopters are battling the huge fire. It began in late july, about 30 contained right now. Several dozen structures are involved. Firefighters from the bay area have been injured, all are recovering from burns. And looking at downtown an joe, were looking at thundershowers. Meteorologist anthony slaughter is tracking those. Yes, as you just heard we had about four showers we were tracking, one in mendocino valley, we didnt see shower activity there. We saw lightning and rain there and even lightning and thunder reported across the sierra. For us here at home, were not going to see this activity tonight. Unfortunately were not going to see rain from this. I think the only thing that we may actually see is the few Lightning Strikes. We may get one or two tonight. But the best chance really will come tomorrow. And i believe that will be for extreme eastern Contra Costa County and extreme northern solano and napa county. You can see on the radar, lots of moisture building here as it rotates around the area of low pressure. That will be used for fuel as the system drafts a little more tightly through the day tomorrow. Tomorrow will be a dry day, you notice the clouds building. After midnight tomorrow you will see the best chance of seeing any lightning through Tuesday Morning until about 6 00 p. A. M. Officers arrested her in los angeles for sneaking onto a southwest flight at San Jose International last week. She was arrested again when she returned to l. A. X. The next morning against a judges order. The bay area woman and her courtpointed attorney claimed that homelessness and also Mental Illness led her to repeatedly board flights without a ticket. She has had at least seven encounters with police at sfo and was arrested four times there. And a turtle frenzy could be on the way. Reporter well, the thing to take away here is a huge commitme commitment, especially with a tortoise that could live for 50 years. Weve seen this same thing after a famous movie where suddenly a child wants that pet. And in the bay area they expect the same level of interest when it comes to turtles. We checked with the Humane Society in burlingame. They have two turtles, who need uv lights and of course extended care. It is believed that the success of the mutant Ninja Turtles could prompt kids to want a turtle. When we spoke with them, what theyre telling us is that all animals, especially turtles, are a real commitment. My advice is to do the research and look into how long the animal will live and how big it will get. Turtles have pretty special requirements and it can get expensive and they live a long time, 15 to 20 years, depending on the species. Reporter now, tortoises can grow to 36 inches. And make sure the parent is potentially prepared to adopt as again they can live more than 50 years. And they say if you decide that you dont want that turtle or tortoise, certainly dont release them back into the wild. You want to bring it right back to a shelter where they can take care of it.
