temperatures dropping back into the 30s in san jose. we'll see a high of 56 there. foster city 54. the castro at 52 degrees. mainly some mid-50s elsewhere. and we're going to see more of the same weather for the next few days. new year's eve forecast if you're heading to san francisco all clear skies. and it looks like the fog will also clear out too. and temperatures dropping back to 43 woman who turned unknown doctors into stars. >> thank you, dr. oz. >> reporter: no-name books into best sellers. >> what we want to do is start a book club here on the oprah show. >> reporter: and entrepreneurs into overnight success stories. >> spanx now we have over 100 products. >> reporter: has a new favorite thing, weight watchers. she owns 10% of the company. >> she might as well own 100%. a lot of people have really joined because of oprah, they believe in oprah. not just the product, but oprah the person. >> reporter: at this weight watchers in new york, long-time member and snow survey of the year. and you'll remember last year governor brown walked across what looked like -- >> dirt. >> a desert. it was dead grass. this year looking much rosier. >> in fact, it's 136%. so 36% better than normal. i assume you're going to tell us, kari, that we're out of the woods, but at least it's a snowy woods. >> it looks nice if you've been to tahoe. i sit here and look at those cameras. we'll look at one in just a minute. we have some weather going on in the bay area. you can see this camera shaking around. is is a live look now at oakland. and we do have some cloudy skies while right across the bay in san francisco some light sprinkles. but our radar sits on top of a mountain. and it's right now shooting over the clouds and the rain that we're seeing in the north bay and san francisco. elsewhere it's dry and even clear. in the south bay that's where we have the warmest temperatures as we get a little bit more sunshine. but it's cool in napa after coming off of a record low temperature this morning it is now 41 degrees. as we go hour by hour in livermore we still see those clouds hanging around all throughout the day. we will make it up to 50 degrees and then it drops right back down tonight. and mostly clear skies as we dip close to freezing once again. and if we had those clear skies tonight, you will have a slight chance of seeing aurora borealis. and that would be awesome. i've always wanted to see this, the northern lights. and it will be happening between 2:00 and 6:00 this morning, kind of a green hue to the sky. something to look out for if you're like me and will be up early this morning. or tomorrow morning. and look now at pinecrest. and there you go. there's that snow. and all of the skiers enjoying it. and we have as much as 93 inches of snow in some parts of the sierra. if you can imagine that, and i know they had to have more than just that long stick they normally have to measure the snow and take some of those surveys. and our snow report shows things are going to start to clear out there over the next couple of days though some chilly temperatures as we at nighttime dip down into the teens. if you'll be staying in the bay area for new year's eve, maybe you're going to go to san francisco to see the fireworks, it will be chilly out there. and only dipping down into the low 40s with mostly clear skies. we are going to have some very cool air there. into the next few days you keep it dry, but by the end of the week we'll have another chance of rain moving in. a couple of storm systems moving in as we welcome in 2016. the first one starts on sunday. and then again on tuesday. and the one on tuesday looks at this point like a pretty big storm system that continues the rain into the day on wednesday. so wet weather moves in as we go into next week. some of the rainfall outlooks bring as much as an inch and a half to two and a half inches for the next several days. for most of the bay area, so the early rain outlook looks pretty heavy for the next seven days. so as far as rain and snow as we try to recover from this drought, sam and kris -- scott and kris. >> kari, thanks. >> we did a switcharadioon you last week. video of bill cosby leaving the courthouse in pennsylvania where he has now been formally charged with sexual abuse, sexual crimes dating back about 12 years ago. he is brief hearing about ten minutes in length. he walked right through the front door through a gauntlet of cameras. judge mchugh read the charges. she set bail for a million dollars. his passport was handed over. our producer inside the court described him as being fragile, little dazed as to what was going on. he had to be directed as to where to go. he sat down for the ten minutes, then we saw him leave. he is now on his way to the police department where he'll be processed. he'll have fingerprints taken and his photograph taken, kate. >> and, adam, you know, i spoke with 29 different women who accused him of various crimes -- will any of them now become involved in this trial which involves the case of just one woman? >> reporter: absolutely. that's quite possible. if this gets to trial nbc spoke to an attorney here in philadelphia and he says it is quite possible a number of those accusers could be called his m.o., so many of these women have made similar statements in their accusations that everything that he did was similar. that he plied these women with alcohol and gave some of them pills and then proceeded to sexually assault them. so there are so many similarities in so many of these cases that it is quite possible they may be called to testify. gloria alred speaking in a press conference moments ago said she will certainly make her clients available if they are called to testify in a possible hearing trial down the way, kate. >> adam reese at the courthouse there. we understand bill cosby has now arrived at the police station where, again, he will be
