tonight. that's where they found the two victim victims. are detectives still there? >> reporter: absolutely. homicide detectives combing through the house looking for evidence and taking photos. neighbors say the family lived here about a year. police have been called out to this house before. to respond to family fights. on a quiet cul-de-sac in the valley inside this house a family fight turned deadly. it happened around 6:00 tonight. a man was stabbed to death. and a woman suffered minor injuries. >> i didn't really know it was a stabbing. >> reporter: a teenage neighbor one of the first to see the couple. >> i saw the man, in his door way, he was bleeding, and the wife over him screaming, "stay with me. keep breathing, they're on their way." >> reporter: an ambulance took the man to valley medical center. heave was pronounced dead. >> when officers got here they found a man stabbed. part of some type of domestic disturbance inside a residence. the suspect was located arrested nearby. we have a suspect in custody. >> reporter: police arrested him five blocks from the home. they say he knew the victims. neighbors and other sources tell us the suspect was the man's son or stepson. they also say police have been called out to this house in the past to respond to reports of loud fights. most of the neighbors have lived here at least 40 years. and are stunned. >> shocking. that something happened in our cul-de-sac. >> reporter: tonight investigators are trying to determine exactly what happened inside the home. and why. neighbors tell me that the suspect did live in this home. detectives are not releasing the name of the suspects or the victims. but they say they do plan to be out here for several more hours tonight, investigating. reporting live in san jose, marianne favro, nbc bay area news. >> thank you very much. this does mark the 24th homicide in san jose this year alone. one week ago some one shot and killed a man near monterey/eden view in south san jose. last monday officers responded to a deadly shooting on gr grammecy, east san jose. no arrests in any of the cases. >> new at 11:00 -- four north bay firefighters hurt heading to an emergency, their ladder truck crashed into three other cars in vallejo tonight. the aftermath. wreckage spread over several blocks near sonoma boulevard/york street. police say the firetruck heading to a house fire about 6:00 this evening when it collided with at least one car. six victims, four of them firefighters, were treated for serious nonlife threatening injuries. police are investigating the cause of that crash. >> and hurt on the front lines. three south bay firefighters back at home recovering tonight after getting burned while battling a wildfire in mendocino county. the men and women part of a strike team that left the bay for the lodge fire. they were about to learn about their first asignment when the fire unexpectedly shifted and burned them. an investigation is under way to deter men wh determine what went wrong. there are micro-climates, fuel beds, that may be susceptible to larger energy release components. not sure what happened here. something nobody expected would happen. >> the three fire fighters were treated at santa clara county medical burn unit, released this morning. battalion police said collectively they had 60 years of experience. >> developing story in iraq, and a new round of u.s. air strikes. u.s. war planes targeted isis rebels in erbil, the u.s. is air lifting humanitarian aid to religious refugees trapped on a mountain top. as for those traps refugees, many believe nothing short of ground troops will put a stop to isis militants. a look at the refugees, most in desperate need of assistance. >> reporter: desperation on the mountain refuge. people grasp for aid from a kurdish helicopter. as the it takes off from mt. sinjah. one boy, and 20 made it on board. thousand cut off by isis. people from a christian community. president obama said face genocide. elsewhere, families are fleeing any way they can. in temperatures of over 110, one child only 5 days old. we want america to do more, they told me. the president's promise, no boots on the ground, is not what they want here. [ indiscernible ] >> reporter: inside a church, we found 4,000 more refugees from the ancient christian sect. crowds of families here. people just carrying their children. young and old. while children play, parents struggle to hold it together. her 10-month-old daughter, they arrived to day without her husband. isis told her to wear an islamic shawl or be killed. >> they wanted you to convert. >> north of here, back on mount sinjah, there is no end in sight. the u.s. dropping of walter and food may help save some from starvation, a life line in the face of isis cruelty. they kidnapped our girls. they killed many people this woman said. my son died. he was just 2 years old. american bombs may stop isis from advancing, but these people want to be able to return home. safely. for now many of the refugees are still here in erbil. at one point this week, isis fighters were said to be within miles of the city. that could have put the u.s. consulate here in danger. homeless encampments about to get cleared out. take a look at one of the fliers, distributed by san jose. this asks for all property to be removed monday morning from the homeless encampment, many who live there call it the jungle. the jungle sits on the banks of coyote creek. some 200 people live there at one time. monday the city is launching a week-long clean-up effort. homeless supporters plan to be there to protest the eviction. two days down. one to go. tens of thousand of music lovers and dozens of acts in golden gate park for the outside lands music festival. for some neighbors they fake. >> it was saying that it got reprocessed already. that some one else already used it. so it was there was one ticket of it. we want to the ticket issues they said it has been processed 300 times. >> san francisco police say more than 30 people detained for selling counterfeit tickets. they seized hundreds of fakes and cited others for trying to sneak in. even with a rough start, some the oakland mayor behind the wheel leading up to election. the driving became a hot button issue in june, remember this, damaged her city issued car in a fender-bender. she was seen using her phone behind the wheel during the same period. a spokesman tells the oakland tribune, for now t. she'll have staffers or volunteers doing her driving. as for the june car crash, police didn't determine if she was at fault. >> countries on alert for the spread of the ebola virus. a possible case in canada. a toronto hospital is taking precautions after a patient who returned from nigeria developed flu like symptoms. and underwent tests for ebola and was placed in isolation last night. blood work for the patient expected to be returned within the next 24 hours. the doctors would treat the symptoms the forecast. at least for the sierra and portions of northern california. for us, i don't think we will see, showers, thunderstorms, during the daytime hours tomorrow. we could see, maybe a stray thunderstorm and northern portions of sonoma. places up there t otherwise. doesn't look like sunday is the day for thunderstorms. however, for monday, that belter chanbelter -- better chance of rain pushes in. along the coast. moves closer. monday night. tuesday. have our better chance of seeing a few isolated thunderstorms. could see a few lightning strikes. that will pose the danger for wildfires that we have burning across the state. the good news, we could get ran out of this. bad news, unfortunately could get more lightning strikes. right now, stepping outside. you can see. micro
