get to look back on my life and say i improved the quality of someone's life. like that's -- i feel that gives me purpose in my life. >> reporter: steve has not seen the home yet, but lisa has shared pictures of the progress. she predicts he will cry tears of joy when she drops it off in the city. and she -- well, she looks forward to not crying on the drive home. lisa says the home is being built almost entirely out of recycled and scrap materials. in fact, she says steve will sometimes find things on the street in san francisco that he'll give to her to include in the house. she hopes to have it finished by the end of the summer. garvin thomas, nbc bay area news. >> if you know someone doing something nice for others, garvin would love to hear from you. just go to our website, nbc bay area.com, and search bay area proud. meteorologist rob mayeda here now with your microclimate forecast. and i guess the headline today is wind. >> yeah, a lot of wind. less wind tomorrow. warming for your sunday. outside we still have clear skies in san francisco. a nice evening. 61 degrees. oakland 67. but here even after 8:00 you're seeing temperatures in the 70s around the bay area. check out san jose. 72 degrees. over toward the tri-valley. some of the warmest temperatures we're seeing right now, still 74 degrees out by dublin. during the day today both locations pleasanton, ocean beach starting off in the 50s. during the afternoon some rth winds there around ocean beach. mid 60s, mid 70s inland toward pleasanton but those same north winds moving from the higher hills down toward santa cruz, 80 degrees today. when you get north winds, that air descends, it compresses, warms and dries as we head out toward the seashore there around santa cruz. you get about five to six degrees of warming for every 1,000-foot drop in elevation. so that wind configuration good for a warm day in santa cruz but not so much on the peninsula shoreline. this will change, though. tomorrow we'll begin to see the winds turn more offshore for most of the coastal areas including out around ocean beach in pacifica. so 70s more likely along the north hills tomorrow. and still some upper 70s closer to santa cruz with mostly sunny skies with one exception to the rule late tomorrow. some of the higher hills around the santa cruz mountains and southeast of san jose we could see a slight chance of a stray shower. we think mostly down to the central hills. high temperatures tomorrow in the 80s around south bay, 70s closer to san francisco. north bay temperatures low to mid 80s. about the same out toward the tri-valley. and for many sporting events tomorrow warriors game coming up early around noon there through about 4:00 you'll see 70s and 80s outside the roaracle arena. the aisz have's have a game at . looks nice. and the sharks with temperatures in the 80s as the game gets started but dropping into the upper 60s later on. what we'll see late tomorrow is the return of the sea breeze. you see all the low clouds and fog. that's going to bring our temperatures down monday to tuesday. the sea breeze comes back and then we'll see bigger changes come wednesday. see the chance of showers coming back in. much like we saw this week. we had a storm system arrive on wednesday. looks like the same thing midway through next week. cooler temperatures. a chance for mountain thunder. and around the bay area could see our temperatures dropping into the low 60s around san francisco and 60s to low 70s closer to san jose. so this is the pattern as we wrap up the middle part of the week. probably carrying through about friday. then you'll notice as we head into next weekend, here we go. another repeat performance. high pressure building in for saturday means some breezy conditions next weekend. perhaps not as warm as the temperatures we're going to see tomorrow. but the same pattern, mid-week showers followed up by breezy conditions, clearing skies, and 70s returning by next saturday and sunday. back to you. >> looks good, rob. thanks very much. well, he was talking about the warriors game tomorrow. fallon smith with comcast sportsnet talk about it too. we know that steph's not playing, but maybe sooner than later? >> maybe sooner than later. not game 2. we know that for sure. but terry, we have a busy day in sports. the biggest story of course as you mentioned the warriors. how soon could steph curry be back on the court? coming up we have the scoop next in sports. when ♪ when the warriors tip off the western conference semifinals tomorrow against the trail blazers, steph curry will be watching from the bench. the mvp's knee is set to be reevaluated on monday may 9th, the same day as game 4. but curry could be back for next saturday's game 3. oh, yes. yesterday steph curry was optimistic he could return sooner than he projected and the projected two weeks after suffering a grade 1 mcl sprain. and now his head coach is at least open to the possibility. today steve kerr spoke about curry's status and how they plan to proceed in game 1 against portland. >> i'd be shocked if he played tuesday. he hasn't even been out on the floor yet. you know, i'm not going to rule him out for tuesday. but there's not much of a chance he would play then. but he is supposed to get on the floor soon. i don't think today. i think hopefully in the next few days. and if he can progress throughout the week, fortunately for us game 3 isn't until saturday. maybe we'll get a chance to see him on the court for a couple days and see what he looks like. but it changes things dramatically. you know, we'll have to have shaun livingston, andre, maybe even harrison guarding either lillard or mccollum at times. normally the match-up is pretty straightforward for steph and klay on d.j. and damian. and maybe they switch a little bit. but this complicates matters for us at both ends obviously. all right. to the ice. after a week layoff it took the sharks 40 minutes to wake up on offense, but when they did team teal ripped off five goals in the third period to take the season opener of their second-round match-up against the nsashville predators. here's head coach peter deboer on what he expects in game 2. >> i think the third period is how we want to play and get on the attack, play on our toes, play with speed. you know, and my problem with the game was we only -- we didn't get that going until the third period. partly credit to nashville for what they were doing, but i think we can do more to play that game more consistently. and i think -- i attribute a little of it to the layoff and i think we'll be better on sunday, having a game under our belt here. >> looking to bounce back after yesterday's blowout loss to the mets. the giants down 4-1. based loaded for hunter pence. and pence delivers. blooper to right. two runs score. but brandon belt is thrown out at third. giants within one. but then in the fifth michael conforto. oh, yeah, that's gone. solo homer off matt cain. his third rbi of the game and fifth of the series. mets win 6-5. the a's hosting the astros. bottom two bases jammed for billy burns and he comes through. two runs score. a's go up 2-0 for the second and third rbi of the year there. gatis grounds into the double play to end the game. a's win 2-0 and get their first shutout of the year. tomorrow it's a big day for us at csn. we'll have a warriors-blazers playoff show starting at 11:30 in the morning on csn plus. then watch our sharks playoff central show at 4:30 on csn california. both shows will get you ready for the two big games. terry. >> telling you, they're playoff crazy down there. >> yeah. i like my job. i'm excited about it. so much going on. >> no kidding. it's a great time of year. fallon, thanks a lot. thousands of girl scouts making a trek across the golden gate bridge. a special event bringing them all together. we'll be right back. thousands of northern california girl toward the morning and then by midday 70s and 80s by tomorrow afternoon. >> all right, rob. thanks very much. and thanks for joining us. our next newscast at 11:00. till then good night. why prince turned down michael jackson and lionel ritchie, the untold story until now. welcome to access hollywood weekend edition, i'm liz hernandez. our enterview with lionel ritchie about this moments away. we begin with scott evans on the time 100 red carpet with an unannounced guest. scott. >> liz, surprise guest none other than donald trump. who showed up to the event in standard trump style on the very night he swept five new england states in the latest presidential primaries. >> a big night, are you glued to your phone? are you trying, watching the results as they come in? >> i am hearing the
