most of boulder county. we've got a wind advisory in the mountains. entire state. as far aa our temperatures go, it's going to boost us into the low 70s by this afternoon. well above normal. we're calling for 72 in denver. closer to 80 across southeastern colorado. that's summer-like temperatures there. 40s and 50s in the mountains today. closer in most neighborhoods in and around town will be at about 70 to 74. at the airport 73. boulder, 71. deckers today you're at 63. estes park 53 degrees. any moisture coming from this storm that's rolling in will stay in the mountains. light rain/snow mix this morning out west and we'll continue to pick up light to moderate snow, potentially a couple of inches over some of the higher mountain passes. no alerts in place for that snow. it's not going to be heavy. early tomorrow morning skies then clear out and we have more sunshine state-wide across colorado tomorrow. it's going to be a little cooler, but still above noomal. 3 72 today. heading into the weekend, sunday looks cooler. upper 40s, low 50s. i put the bright spot on saturday because it's a weekend and we'll be at 60 and not as windy. winds picking up the first of next week. might to 80th avenue. we have a new problem to the north side of town, the southbound side of i-25 before the thornton parkway. a new accident and we can see travel times about half an hour there and the flashing liggts, there goes another emergency `rew heading to that scene, that acccdent scene. let me show you the travel timm nnw up that way. 30 minutes with 22 of those minutes coming from 120th to wow. unbelievable, huh? >> well, the happy couple celebrateddwith family at the congratulations. >> that is wonderful. a courtroom hearssfrom a we'll share the emotional testimony. >> a local community warned rin the middle of a time when senior povertyt is increasing. republicans and some democratsp came up with a brilliant idea for cutting cost-of-living adjustments for social security. we said, "it will be over our dead bodies if you cut social security." as president, i will do everything i can to extend the solvency of social security and expand benefits for people who desperately need them. i'm bernie sanders, a man is dead after getting into a crash with a police cruiser, happened at the intersection of federal and 88th. which is back open, the northbound side. >> jason gruenauer is on scene. >> reporter: westminster police say they believe another car pulled in front of that police officer. the two collided. the driver of the second car is now deceased. just in the last half hour they started wrapping thingssup. the other car is currently being pulled up onto that tow truck as they try to clear the scene. southbound remains closed. this happened around 1 :15 overnight. that police cruiser, the westminster police officer, responding to a call of a weapons scene. they were en route heading to that scene when westminster police believe the other car pulled out in front. the officer sustained minor injuries. the other driver was -`pronounneed dead at the scene. accident investigators have been on scene all morning trying to determine if the police cruiser's lights or sirens were on. answer to. the other question, how fast was the car going at that time. this portion, southbound federal still remains closed. northboond is open as they continue to clear this scene learn more. we'll bring you any latest updates as they become available here from the scene. not as bad as it was, but we're going o send it over to jayson luber for a wider look at things. lot offfolks use southbound federal to go from 92nd to highway 36. the northhound side is open, but the southbound side remains closed down for that fatal accident as they continue to clean up. next half hour. until then, you can use lowell or pecos to get around it. 36. we have a big problem on the north side of town. southbound side. look how heavy the traffic is after 104th. airtracker 7 is there now and you can see the left side of the highway is blocked. traffic is barely getting by. from 120th to colfax now it will take you at least 23 minutes just in that backup. and it's going to get heavier on that north side. 49 minutes from mulberry to 120th and most of that, 20 minutes just from highway 119 to 120th. it is aafecting that drive from the north side. everything else quiet. >> all that red and yellow on your new graphics looks daunting. good, it warns you. take a look at this, this looks daunting, too. mountains. berthoud pass with a recent wind gust of 64 miles per hour. estes park near 50. not as bad in denver. parker you saw a gust near 20. picking up in the mountains and expecting windier conditions we could see speeds 70, 80 miles per hour in the mountains and foothills. earlier this morning berthoud pass saw a gust of about 78. red flag warning. high fire danger. it will be warm, windy, really dry today. we're not expecting any moisture across the plains. the mountains will pick up rain and ssow, but here we're talking potentially record- breaking temperatures. 72 in denver by 4:00. the current record set back ii 1930, 71. looks like we could tie it or break it. jurors will fill back into a boulder county courtroom in less than three hours after hearing from an expecting mother who had her unborn baby cut from her womb. michelle wilkins testified % yesterday against her accused attacker, dynel lane. wilkins said she went to the suspect's home responding to a craigslist ad for maternity clothes. she said lane tried to smother her with a pillow and tried to aatack her with a bottle and knife. survive. >> when did you first realize that you were no longer pregnant?
