more than three dozen animals we're seized by animal control this past thursday. twenty one of those ...horses... (( nat pop horses neighing )) all of which we're removed after a raid on this boarding property on the 1800 block of fairhaven street after animal control reported the animal cruelty. now the animal foundation -- who've been caring for these animals is trying to track down the original owners... cancelling the original deadline (( allison: 02:32 were actually working really closely with our partners in clark county. they're getting some phone calls from the owmers...as well as phone calls coming in to us. so we just want to make sure that we're all on the same page and we dont actually adopt out an animal that somebody wants to re-claim :44 )) a number of the horses have been temporarily housed here-- at horseman park while the owners find necessary documentation before the horses can be released. ((allison :40 at this time we have heard from all owners so the horses are not up for adoption :44 if the owners decide not to reclaim their horses then they would go through the process of being up does not come cheap for the non-profit--whose facilities are really only designed for dogs and cats. they're loosing two staff members to look after and feed the horses at off-sight locations twice a day. ((karen castro)) ryan hamilton with the nra-nevadans for freedom believes question one will cost law abiding gun owners time, money, and freedom. he says it will not stop criminals from buying guns. ((karen castro)) the measure, which would also require background checks for online sells, is opposed by the majority of the sheriffs in the state.. many also featured on t-v ads. however, a number of law enforcement organizations are supporting question one. ((karen castro)) >> question one is the most expensive measure on the ballot. supporters have received more than 18-million dollars.... about 75-percent coming from "everytown for gun safety".... an organization founded by former new york mayor michael bloomberg. the opposition has raised nearly 5-million dollars... almost entirely donated by the n-r-a. ((denise valdez)) county schools are in need of some extra attention and special books since they read braille. and with this month being blindness awareness month -- 8 new now's vanessa murphy is bringing us an exclusive look at one program helping those students. ((vanessa murphy)) an estimated 66-thousand braille pages created this year for blind students at the clark county school district. ((edwin serrano/inmate: i understand how important this work is, so i can't imagine what they're going through.))
