((shakala alvaranga)) >> denise, the family's attorney and the assistant principal at the time went back and forth for about two hours this afternoon ... about how school administrators handled this case. while the district says they didn't know the scope of this report. the family believes otherwise. ((shakala alvaranga)) for the first time in the bryan and hairr vs. ccsd trial, school administrators took the stand. "my clie administrators, they really care about all of the students and our hearts go out to them." ((shakala alvaranga)) after a heartfelt testimony tuesday by her son ... mary bryan spoke ... upset with the lack of communication between her and school officials. the situation got so out of hand, that her son almost killed himself. "they didn't do anything, they didn't take it seriously when and they ignored it." ((shakala alvaranga)) family attorneys questioned former assistant principal leonard depiazza about inconsistencies with his involvement in handling the reports. depiazza said he didn't know the dean hadn't investigated the report -- and testified the incident han detail. "as this trial goes on, more school district people will testify and they'll fill in the big picture as to what happened, what the school district did." ((shakala alvaranga)) still, bryan and hairr want accountability. "the attitude that boys will be boys...no big deal..is not going to be maintained." ((shakala alvaranga)) >> court proceedings will continue tomorrow at 12:30. reporting live shakala in texas -- a case of cyberbullying has changed the laws in texarkana. "david's law" went into effect this week. it's named after 16-year-old david molak -- who took his own life after being bullied online. the bill will allow law enforcement to unmask anonymous online bullies -- and give school districts the power to investigate off-campus bullying. according to "cyberbullying dot org"... an august 2016 study showed about 33 percent of students are online./// ((dave courvoisier)) >> a man is behind bars tonight after metro police say he lured kids with candy into his house then committed lewd sexual acts with them. police are now worried there could be more victims out there. 8 news now's mauricio marin is here with more on the investigation. ((mauricio marin)) >> metro police say kids knew jose azucena simply as "david." he would promise them candy---get them into his apartment and then commit sexual acts. we talked with neighbors tonight who didn't want to show us they are sickened to hear about the alleged lewdness with minors. (( j.r./neighbor: "i can't imagine somebody here doing that. i mean if i saw him he really would have been in trouble. because we don't handle and stand for stuff like that. we try to make our kids straighten out and well behaved." )) ((mauricio marin)) >> metro police say they first became aware of the allegations last month involving several young kids. parents say the suspect was a neighbor of the victims who would lure them with the promise of candy into his apartment over the last year near ch and nellis boulevard. the 63-year old suspect had reportedly been living in the complex for several years. police were able to track down azucena and arrest him this week. and authorities are asking parents to give them a call if they think their child may have been a victim. one family counselor we talked with recommends parents ease into the discussion. ((chris maathuis)) he would need 24 of the 32 owners to vote yes to move his team to las vegas. a meeting in january is still in play for a vote... but we are hearing it could be pushed to march. i still go back to this... remember when casino owner steve wynn told us the owners he knows moving to vegas. steve wynn/casino owner: "it takes 24 to 32 members of the nfl ownership committee to approve the transfer my friend jerry jones robert draft and others with whom i have a personal relationship have told me the nfl is ready to do it."
