me is m-l-k boulevard and that's where traffic will be flowing for the next four months to get from interstate 15 northbound to the 95 north. crews are out now setting up to do work over the next several months moving forward with project neon. >> the closures took effect just about an hour ago. and detours are taking drivers through side streets. folks wanting to get onto the 95 heading northbound from interstate 15 south--- they will have to get off at lake mead boulevard---head west and then go jump onto the 95 northbound. which is going to create a lot more traffic in the area. the northbound mlk boulevard off ramp has a number of closures from now until february next year. drivers heading northbound on the 95 will have to get off at rancho drive and turn around on u-s 95 to exit mlk blvd. traffic heading northbound on the 15 will exit charleston blvd. westbound to get to m-l-k boulevard. and traffic will exit at lake mead boulevard to access mlk boulevard if they're coming from the 15 south. n-dot has been working to get the road work will no doubt create traffic jams in the area. so they're urging drivers to give themselves extra time to get around. you should also know that the 95 southbound ramp to 15 south will remain open. ((shakala alvaranga)) >> denise, most of these neighbors too scared to show their faces on camera -- but we did talk to one man, who found that young woman's body. he said he's never seen her in the neighborhood before, but called the entire ordeal a tragedy. "i just heard the two big bangs. it sounded like it was in my backyard." ((shakala alvaranga)) shots that killed a young woman wednesday morning. "i grabbed the flashlight and ran over there and she wasn't breathing or moving." "she got shot right behind the left ear and she was laying on her right side." ((shakala alvaranga)) her lifeless body lay on a sidewalk. "it's sad. for somebody that young to lose their life. they have the rest of their life to look forward to. somebody took it away. "it's pretty sad what people do to people isn't it?" ((shakala alvaranga)) the quiet neighborhood, rattled by the disturbing news. "it is scary. houses away from you. it is scary." ((shakala alvaranga)) and right down the street -- sits a local elementary school. "there's a whole bunch of kids around here, like i said the school is just a half a block of way. i mean we walk to school it takes us less than 5 minutes to get there and it's scary. it's scary that it would happen." ((shakala alvaranga)) police haven't named any suspects in the case. they believe the woman, only identifies her 20s, knew her attacker. "it's unusual to have a young female basically dumped in the sidewalk at this time. first thing you think of is something domestic, someone who knows her." ((shakala alvaranga)) mcgrath says four witnesses have already come forward. they all heard the gunshots but didn't see the shooting. however, they did see something else... "one of the witnesses saw a four door car making a u turn and leaving right after the gunshots." police do not know if to find her killer.
