suing the alameda county sheriff's office after he was beaten by deputies. yesterday the fbi raided a home in san francisco's visitation valley neighborhood, a name petrov is known to frequent. melanie woodrow has video of the raid you'll only see on abc 7 news. >> reporter: an fbi s.w.a.t. team demanding petrov come out. >> come to the front door. hands up. >> reporter: agents then searching him outside this home on teddy avenue. multiple people, including petrov and girlfriend stay here. to petrov's left you can see another man in handcuffs a woman wearing pajamas is also in handcuffed. >> i'm shocked. >> reporter: overnight neighbors say someone was shot outside the house. >> i didn't know any suspicious, anything was going on but this is a quiet neighborhood. >> reporter: it wasn't the first time fbi agents raided the home. answer abc 7 news obtained this video of a march 8th raid. sources say petrov wasn't on their radar but when federal agents entered the home he was in inside. they arrest the petrov in connection with controlled substances and firearm but never charged. in an exclusive interview with abc 7 news wednesday, he said it wasn't him. >> don't know what you're talking about. >> reporter: federal sources say the latest raid is independent of the overnight shooting. agents walked petrov away from the home before driving off. >> that was jail. jonathan michael hoffener has five days to update his sex offender reg stri. he spent a year and a half for year for molesting a 15-year-old girl. the press democrat reports he's been convicted of sexual battery seven times in three years, two of them at santa rosa junior college. on thursday, petaluma police issued a warning about his release. the hotel he was supposed to stay at found out and canceled his room. hoffner is on parole through next april. the cal campus is hosting not one clinton but two. bill clinton and daughter chelsea will address students and faculty. it didn't come and linked to birth defects in unborn children. the white house held a summit yesterday on how to fight it. >> federal authorities issued a public safety alert yesterday now that nine people in the sacramento valley died from a counter fit drug since march 24th. it appears people are trying to buy norco pain tablets but they are packed with fentanyl, it's 80 times more potent to morphine. the dea is trying to track down the source. women and girls across california can get birth control without a prescription but they have to speak to a pharmacist and fill out a questionnaire first. oregon and washington already have similar laws. 8:07 is our time. the fbi is telling law enforcement agencies we will help you open locked phones according to a new report from doe jones after federal agents were able to open the locked iphones seized from one of the terrorists from the san bernardino attack. for months they refused to unlock the phone citing private concerns. battle ended this week after a third party was found to unlock the phone. new this morning, san francisco's old mint is set tore restored and opened to the public. it will help lead a project to get the old u.s. mint at fifth and mission back into tip-top shape. the project could take a year and a half to complete. the city last year terminated an agreement with the non-profit to turn the building into a museum. it was named a national historic landmark in 1961. some serious disappointment for warriors fans. they needed to win five of the last seven games to break the all time wins record. celtics were the office has demanded to see text messages in the latest scandal involving police officers. they want to read them to determine if any cases may have been compromised. the da noungsed four officers were suspended last fall because of racist and homephobic and sexist text messages sent between the officers while they investigated a different texting scandal involving 14 other officers. public defender directed a statement said i believe there are other case in which guilty pleas based on testimony and sworn statements provided by these officers and wants to see the texts in question and extensive background information on the officers and any cases they've investigated. some parents in the east bay are threatening to boycott lgbtq acceptance week. abc 7 news reporter lee an melendez has more on an issue that has parents divided. >> reporter: april 11th, wind mere ranch middle school will have a week long discussion about those who are lesbian, trans gender and queer. >> i think it's a good way to inform the kids of certain current issues. >> reporter: kids between 11 and 13 will be shown videos like this one about a trans gender crowned home coming queen. >> i feel so much happier with myself. >> reporter: a day of silence to spread awareness but not every parent welcomes this kind of exposure. >> not age appropriate at all we felt. we felt it was a subject matter that should to climb way above seasonal readings or averages for this time of year. so by about wednesday, we could be pushing near 90 degrees here. this is in the south bay right now. san jose, i know it seems unbelievable. it's not going to last. it's going to be a short warm up but bay areawide. 54 in mount continue view and 53 in san jose and 49 in morgan hill. 50 in san francisco and half moon bay. we're much milder in parts of the bay this morning due to low clouds and fog. this is lake tahoe, you were in the 20s earlier and temperatures this afternoon into the 60s in the northern sierra. 50 in napa as well as novato and low 50s in the sunshine and livermore at 51. we will be looking at numbers just a little bit warmer today as the sun is revealed throughout the mid morning hours. explore tore yum camera, low clouds and fog for most. mild around the bay and inland this weekend. we'll see more fog tomorrow, stronger onshore push that could bring down temperatures just a little bit for the second half of your weekend and records are possible even tuesday into wednesday, abruptly cooler on thursday. maybe showers return on friday. so we are looking at the high surf anywhere right now from 5 to 8 feet from the sonoma coast to monterey and risk of rip currents, sneaker waves throughout the bay area today and with the sunshine around half moon bay and pacifica, it will be awfully tempting to enjoy the water even though the temperature is just in the 50s out there. the southern sierra, how about 72 today. northern sierra, 60s on the coast. 74 in los angeles. we'll fast forward to friday, looking for a chance of rain and we have an area of low pressure coming up from southern california. actually looks more likely to the south of us whether or not it gets as far north as the bay area, we'll have to wait and see and actually this forecast model carries it over into a portion of your saturday. so between now and then, we have lots of heat to talk about and in fact monday we go offshore today with the light west wind, it's in the mid-60s at odot coast. palo alto, 62 in millbrae, we have the onshore flow and sunshine in san francisco and 70 in santa rosa. nice day in san leandro and hayward at 67. low 70s around concord. the accuweather seven-day forecast, stronger onshore push tomorrow then the wind shift on monday and numbers climb to the 80s on tuesday. inland upper 80s on wednesday. near 80 at the coast and then that two-day heat wave, it's over. thursday we're cooling off dramatically and looking likely we could get rain on friday. i'm saying likely for you in the east bay. chris will look at that interesting seven-day outlook coming up. >> new this morning the ceo of brussels airport has announced passenger flights will resume there tomorrow. the airport has been closed since march 22nd when terrorists detonated bombs heavily damaging it. only part of the airport will reopen tomorrow. ceo ands the entire airport will be fully functioning by the end of june. president obama called the prospect of isis or other terror groups getting hold of one of the nuclear materials one of greatest threats to global security. world leaders wrapped up a summit to curb nuclear materials worldwide and the president declared the event a success. here's marcy gonzales. >> reporter: protests outside the nuclear security summit in washington, d.c. that. >> the bernie sanders campaign said it raised $44 million in march. the previous fund raising report of 43.5 million was reached in february. so far the sanders campaign received more than 6.5 million contributions from 2 million individual donors. sanders relies almost exclusively on small donations to finance his campaign. the average donation amount is just $27. >> the city of philadelphia will officially apologize for the way it treated pioneering baseball great jackie robinson. the city council passed a resolution honoring the first black baseball player's achievements expand nationwide. it's called jumping for joy and taps into the special bond between kids and dogs to help develop life skills. dan ashley has the story. >> cam on, charlotte. >> reporter: when we first visited the jumping for joy program at the marin humane society. we met zach, a spirited 17-year-old learning the art of communication, both as a person with autism and budding dog trainer. >> i told her to sit and gave her a cool treat. >> reporter: the program pairs kids living with autism with dogs. they are given the goal of guiding the dogs through an agility course while building communication and mutual trust. it was all of the brain child of rachel blackman who launched the program as a teenage volunteer then watched it take off. >> lots of kids were interested in doing it and kids that did it wanted to come back. i knew maybe we could do this bigger. >> reporter: several approached about jumping for joy so rachel and chelsea fairbanks began putting together a curriculum and how to course to set the program up. >> the biggest challenge, making sure you have the volunteers and dogs you want to work with. >> reporter: the team got an initial boost from a $10,000 grant from a mental insight foundation. with that extra money they were able to present jumping for joy at the national conference for humane educators in south carolina. >> and that has sparked a ton of interest across the u.s., which is really exciting. >> reporter: now they are hoping to take jumping for joy nationwide, giving thousands of kids like zach the chance to break through no april fool's. we've got our day finally. >> reporter: for four and a half months the crab fishery was closed, the bloom of toxic algae, the likes of which hadn't been seen in decades, officials assure the public. >> with 100% confidence that this crab is safe to eat. >> reporter: what may have been a worth while precaution for crab lovers nearly broke the industry. four and a half months is most of the season and where they make most of their money. >> let's not mince words, it has been a disaster. >> reporter: no one knows that better than jail. >> it sucked, i had to move out of my house here amonth ago and living on the boat here and any get it back. >> he wasn't alone. >> i had guys calling day and night, please, i need grocery fors for my kids. >> losing boats and families here, clouds will be bumping into a ridge of high pressure in the next couple of days, that's going to keep us dry and seasonable. then the winds will shift. that's going to bring a big warm-up around here by tuesday. here's a look at the golden gate bridge. nothing but gray skies with 50 degrees for morgan hill and san francisco. it is 53? san jose and oakland with mountain view coming in at 54 degrees right now. cloudy for everyone in but over in our east bay hills around concord, you've had clearly skies and sunny up by the delta with the southwest wind. right now in santa rosa, five-mile visibility, 49 degrees, it's 50 in napa and novato. so today a couple more 70s coming into play and for mt. tam, should be a nice afternoon to get out and enjoy the weather with low clouds and fog returning tonight. it will be a little bit stronger tomorrow. the onshore push could bring more changes to your afternoon. but overall, we'll have mild conditions, bay and inland for the weekend, possible records arriving tuesday and certainly wednesday where some neighborhoods could be flirting with 90 degrees but we abruptly bring a cooldown on thursday and bring showers back in the forecast for friday. 5 to 6-foot waves here along the bay area coastline, up to 8 feet in monlt ray bay, a risk of rip current and sneaker waves. pretty dangerous out there at the coast. we'll see almost a sunny afternoon everywhere. a couple of patches of fog around pacifica where numbers will be in the upper 50s in half moon bay and as we tour the bay, you'll notice getting a little warmer as we get away from san francisco. 61 with sun and 66. we've got the last game today for the bay bridge series. should be nice day, west wind at 10 to 15 miles an hour. 73 in walnut creek and warmest numbers by fairfield today. warmer than yesterday by a few degrees. in san jose as we get towards monday and tuesday, winds go offshore, 81 on tuesday -- 90 on wednesday. then we're back into the 70s on
