have a couple of pictures from napa county. he e-mailed it to us. you can see the smoke peeking over the hills. this picture was taken and you can see the huge plume of smoke behind the vineyard. >> humidity is 26%. it is gradually coming up. the wind southwesterly to 6. gusting to 13 miles an hour. it has been stronger, up to 17 miles an hour at 2:00 p.m. and the winds will continue. the smoke plume detected by live doppler 7 hd. you can see how dramatic the shot is. of course, people reporting the smoke from around the area. you can see the wind in the vicinity gusting to 28 miles an hour. the napa county airport, 29 in fairfield. we expect the winds to remain up through the evening hours, which will not help the firefighters, but hopefully the humidity will increase as marine air valley area. we know it's grown to 800 acres. it started at 12:00 this afternoon. it is advancing towards nearly 200 homes in the berryessa estates community. they have an evacuation site at middletown high school. the wineries have had to continue to evacuate. we're going to continue to monitor this for you. police are looking for a second suspect in a home invasion robbery of an elderly elderly couple both 85 years old. >> two suspects entered their home. >> two suspects entered the home armed with weapons. they were forced to the back of the house. at some point the 85-year-old female was sexually assaulted. police confirmed they found a graffiti tag painted on the back of the house. a neighbor who lives behind them told us she found two spray paint canisters in the backyard this morning. supposedly tossed over this fence by the suspects. police took the canisters with them as evidence. neighbors here are very fond of the elderly couple. >> there's not words to describe. no words. i was saddened to hear what happened to her. >> she says these people have no heart. >> obviously our concern is locate i locating. >> a possible laceration to the body caused by the crash. in san jose, le ann menendez. he does not have to pay any damages to the father of oscar grant. he was convicted of involuntary manslaughter in the shooting. grant's father argued that meserley should richland this morning. three people were inside the house on spring street, near 29th at 9:30. fortunately all of them got out safely. the ford explorer went off the road and plowed through a chain link fence at the front of the house. the driver, a man in his 30s was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. a passenger ran away and hasn't been found since. oakland school district introduced its new superintendent to the media today. oakland officials say the 42-year-old wilson is young and energetic and has real division for diverse community. we've lost. and so it's really about that. how do we begin to position oakland to be one that focuses on quality schools up and down the line. >> wilson succeeds interim superintendent gary ye as the leader of oakland public schools. california's first minimum wage increase in six years took effect today. it rose from 8:00 to $9 an hour. the next increase takes effect january 1st, 2013 when the state minimum wage will be $10 an hour. san francisco was $10.74 an hour. f last week seattle increased the the minimum wage to $15 an hour. that's the highest in the country. all new smoke alarms are now required to have ten-year
