hospital this morning after being trapped inside the home that caught fire. the one-alarm fire started around 2:00 on lockwood street near 73rd avenue. fire rescue were able to put the claims out and rescue the child. no one else was hurt. investigators are working to determine the cause of that fire. well, fire crews in the east bay remain on high alert after a suspected serial arsonist lit two cars on fire t. latest happened just after 2:00 yesterday morning. one disturbed an act ra at walnut creek. 11 minutes later, a toyota suv was torched in cresenta court ct lafayette. >> that now makes seven suspicious car fires in the east bay this week alone. verdicts are going back to this year to see if there is a connection. in the south bay, one person is dead after being run over by a vehicle in san jose. it happened just after 9:00 last night on south bascom avenue north of city college. police said the driver took off but came back a short time later. we are told when we return person was taken into custody. a global cyber attack has hit 100,000 computers around the world. it's a triple health care system being health felt here in the u.s. fedex is one of the companies affected. >> where the old frances scott key school was located on avenue. it's been emptied for years, used for district offices and a warehouse. but city officials agree, it certainly won't be enough. so on tuesday the board of supervisors will take a look at a proposal that would inviejas the amount needed to qualify for affordable housing. it could go up to $150,000. >> we are talking about potentially thousands of ients over the next three years that teachers and families, first responders, firefighters and nurses can now get into the lottery and become qualified for affordable housing in san you can see the intense flames. the fire department is going defensive on this one. we have been told they are ladder pipes. again, there are reports of spot fires. this is the 900 block of apgar. up with of the major concerns right now is a large cran at the construction site. fire crews think that it might collapse t. fire department also says the building could collapse. again, there are multiple fires start income nearby buildings. we will bring you more updates as soon as they become available. we want to head over to meteorologist lisa argen. she is tracking winds in the area. how much of this will play a role in the firefighting efforts, lisa? >> good morning to you. the prevailing winds are out of the west northwest. they are gusty in spots. in oakland, anywhere from 12-to-15 piles an hour. so is that wind being pushed sloo italy to the south and east of the fires and as a result, you may see and, you know, smell a little smoke in the area. although the wind aren't as gusty as they are along the shore line, anywhere from 15 to 20 miles an hour as they come out of the north and west. temperatures are in the 30s and 40s, so we'll be looking at a school start today. along the shore line, numbers are in the mid-foemplts we're at 50 in nevada and mountain view. the winds continue to be quite breezy along the coast today around around the bay at times. we look for numbers on the cooler side of average, anywhere from five to 10 degrees cooler tan we should be this time of year. rick by noon time, 50s and low 60s, numbers popping out perhaps around 70 trees in our inland valleys, probably about 4:00 in the afternoon. chris. lisa, thank you. president trump will deliver a key note address at liberty university in virginia. in his weekly address the president says he will bring a message of hope and optimism to graduates about the country's future. he also says he is committed to technical and vocational education. business optimism is soaring and employment is rising. these are great signs of america's future t. future that has new graduates will play with such a critical role in shaping our world and our country. i want every young citizen regardless of education or geography to be able to live out their american dreams. >> president trump will also give the commencement address to graduates of the u.s. coast guard academy on wednesday. if your travels today include taking bart, expect delays, if you are traveling through oakland, ongoing track work will happen between the make mary and fruitvale stations. there will be no train service between downtown oakland and the fruitvale station. bart officials say regular service will run tomorrow to accommodate warrior's fans. a warning is going out to people living or working near wellness fair. it runs from noon until 4:00 p.m. at roosevelt community center in san jose. if you are flying outs of sfo, check your flight status. they have the second longest runway for repairs. drifting further to the south. overall the winds aren't bad this morning. they will be increasing a i long the shore line later on today, numbers on the cool side, starting out in the 40s and 50, coast. over in oakland, where that fire is burning, you will notice winds say about 12 miles per hour. the prevailing winds are out of the west, sometimes coming down from the fnorth. here's a live look from you can see the fire and the smoke there drifting into the atmosphere across the skies there, so unfortunately, that will obviously affect some of you this morning. we are looking at back, everyone. we continue to track breaking news out of oakland this morning, a massive five alarm fire is burning right now at a building that is under construction. although, the location is the 3800 block of san pablo avenue fear interstate 580. we are taking a live look at the scene right now from our emeryville camera. you can see that crews have put water on the fire, a lot of smoke coming out t. flames not as bad as they were about 10- to-15 minutes ago. so that's the good news. but we also have reports earlier that embers were flying on the interstate. you can see on the left side of the screen, some vehicles that were traveling by and probably slowing down because of what they are seeing on the interstate. we are taking a look at video from earlier. can you see how intense the flames were at one point. again, one of the main concerns here is that there is a lot of construction. this is a construction site. there is a crane on the property. crews were worried it could be compromised. also, we had we heard from initial reports that fires had spread to other nearby buildings, so again this has been a very developing situation, a very fluid story for us as we are covering this and getting information from multiple agencies. now, this is a video that was tweeted out by the alameda county fire department here. you can see, they were able to get a little closer to the building to bring us these images. so social media really playing a role in how we cover the story these days and giving us a closer look hat the damage done to this i would being.
