Abc 7 News Reporter Laura Anthony went along for the ride and joins us with the dublin pleasantton station. Laura . Hi, larry. Until now, the pilot cars as theyre calling them were confined to the test tracks, or if they were tested on the main tracks that was done in the overnight hours when the system was closed. Starting today, those cars will be tested on the main tracks. Although they will not carry the public for at least a couple of months. Though theyre not quite ready for primetime, b. A. R. T. s new train cars will be arriving soon. As soon as one more round of testing during normal Service Hours is completed. On this test run, there were a couple of rough stops. Is insisting that that extra weight will not cause any problems with service, or the infrastructure of the system, but it is something they are working with the manufacturer with to try to reduce that weight going forward.
