south korea. once again, u.s. aviation officials say a boeing 777 jet crashed as it was landing. the plane belongs to asiana airlines. cnn says it flew from inchang international airport. no casualties have been confirmed. islamic militants have attacked a boarding school in northeastern nigeria, killing at least 27 students and one teacher. no group has so far claimed responsibility but local police blamed the violence on bokoharam, based in northeastern nigeria. just before dawn on saturday, a group of gunmen broke into the boarding is it school in the state of yobe. it's the latest in a series of attack. they set fire also to school buildings. the group is also suspected of being response for a series of attacks against government offices and abductions of foreign nationals. you fight the military. the man posted a video online saying muslims must sacrifice themselves and continue to fight the revolution to restore dignity and respect to the region. he said they lacked competent to handle the situation. >> bond yields in the united states have soared following news of robust jobs growth in june. the yield reached the highest level in nearly two years. the yield on the benchmark ten-year treasury bod rose to 2.72% on friday, following a record that the u.s. jobs data for june surpassed market expectations. and scale down quantitative easing as early as september. u.s. long-term interest rates stood at 1.6% in may. but they have risen sharply since then, pushing up mortgage rates as well. analysts have expressed concern the higher rates may hinder the country's gradual economic recovery. property developers in peru have destroyed a 4,000-year-old pyramid as an archaeological site near the capital of lima. the structure was one of 12 pyramids found at the el paraiso complex. it's thought to have been used for religious rituals. the developers used heavy machinery to completely flatten the six-meter-high pyramid. the peruvian government has decided to press criminal charges against the property development companies responsible. police are now deployed at the archaeological site for security. excavation projects are already under way at the site to learn how the pyramid was built and what kind of internal structure it had. one archaeologist lamented the destruction and said now the answers will never be known. in may, an anchened mayan pyramid was destroyed in belize. they also used the stones from the structure as building material. workers of the damaged nuclear plant have detected a spike of radioactive substance in nearby seawater. they say it's the highest offshore in two years. tokyo electric park collected water from a port near the plant on wednesday. they found it contained 2,300 becquerels of tritium per liter. that is the highest since monitoring began in june 2011. but they say the figure is still well below the government's set safety limit. tepco workers tested water taken collected from a well near the port. they found it contained a report level of radioactive substances, 900,000 becquerels per liter. tepco officials say they can't rule out the possibility that contaminated groundwater seeped into
