Wilson later died at the hospital. Right now, police are investigating a second assault on a waterloo trail within the last 3 months. Police say the attack happened on a recreational trail near cedar bend park. A Woman Told Police a man pulled the hood of her sweatshirt over her eyes, and then pulled her off the trail yesterday afternoon. Police say the man tried to sexually assault her, police are now working to find out if this is the same man who attacked a woman in july. In that case, a woman said a man in his 20s dragged her off the trail inside george wyth park and sexually assaulted her. People found her unconscious in a wooded area. A Waterloo Police officer is dead this morning after a medical trauma according to the waterloo Cedar Falls Courier 35 year old adam liddle died during a morning workout yesterday. Liddle was also a Black Hawk County sheriffs deputy. The director of Safety Services says liddles death will be reviewed to determine if it meets the criteria outlined in the hometown heroes act as a lineofduty death. Two brothers in cedar rapids are waiting to be sentenced for conspiring to distribute meth. And it started when a boy brought a stuffed animal to school. A jury convicted 52 yearold Martin Lawrence and 54yearold Troy Lawrence on wednesday. The evidence showed martin headed a Drug Trafficking organization responsible for distributing methamphetam ine across eastern iowa. The jury says his brother, troy, helped the group distribute in the cedar rapids area. Police found out about the organization after martins stepson brought a stuffed animal with meth inside to his elementary school. A woman is dead this midday, after a car hit and killed her when she was crossing a street in cedar falls. Police say 59 year old terry harp was walking across University Avenue in the 44hundred block about 5 30 yesterday morning. Thats when a car hit her, causing major head and internal injuries. Prosecutors are charging an arlington man for colliding with a school bus near manchester earlier this month. Police have charged 41 year old monte klink with serious injury by vehicle and second offense owi. The state patrol says klink didnt yield at the intersection of 195th street and 200th avenue, three miles north of manchester. His suv hit a west Delaware School bus carrying 32 students. The bus rolled over, and all the students had to go to the Manchester Hospital for evaluation before they went home with their parents. No one had life threatening injuries. Four School Districts in Northern Iowa want to make it easier for students to train for stem careers. Those are jobs that need a background in science, technology, engineering and math. School districts in charles city, new hampton, osage and Rudd Rockford marble rock announced the program at a charles City Manufacturing plant. Theyll receive 25 thousand dollars from the state and have 40 thousand dollars in donations from local companies to run a joint stem program. Organizers say the idea is to match students with local companies where they can learn about Technology Careers while Getting School credit. A budget deal was reached wednesday by members of the house. However. It has a controversial cut to Crop Insurance to the tune of three billion dollars over ten years. House ag chair Michael Conaway won a commitment from Republican Leaders to address the cuts in a later omnibus spending bill. But it still passed in the legislation. No amendments were allowed in this vote. In iowa senator Chuck Grassleys weekly news conference. He says the deal could disenfranchise farmers with Crop Insurance. It cuts nearly a third of funds. And this 3 billion dollar hit on Crop Insurance would probably get farmers back into the mode of why buy Crop Insurance . and then, theyre going to know the governments going to come in like they do on other natural disasters and pay 100 percent. So, i think weve got something good with 92 percent of the farmers are participating in it. And dont screw it up. The original bill language reduction of insurer reimbursement rates. From the average 14 percent. To nine percent. The grain markets have slowed down. And that could be. Because of end of the month trading. Weve really just been in kind of a choppy sideways pattern for weeks, here now, which on the good side of that is, weve gone through that period, weve. The cattle, over the last three to four weeks here, have done a great job of recuperating. Weve gained back nearly 50 percent of some of the losses over the summer months. Seem to have kind of hit a brick wall though right now for the last week. You know, this rally probably got ahead of itself as well. Now weve got to find a little more of an equilibrium to where the prices should be. Hogs of course, have gone the other way around. The spread activities just have gone back and forth and back and forth with the hogs and of course ample numbers coming to for slaughter at this point in time. So, here in a short week, ten days, weve pressed hogs all the way back down to what were the lows in the summer months.
