Now, the henry county Auditors Office is making calls about what to do next after the tie vote. It says theres still a possibility there are uncounted absen the lee county supervisors say they dont have plans to ask voters again for money for a new courthouse. On tuesday, people rejected an 8. 5 Million Dollar bond issue for a new building in montrose. It would have replaced 2 existing courthouses in fort madison and keokuk. The county says those 2 courthouses need renovations. Dubuque leaders will talk about how its part of a nearly 97 Million Dollar grant is funding several state projects today. The roundabout will open today, following a Ribbon Cutting ceremony. The ceremony will take place at 4 pm south of zio johnos, near the intersection of 6th avenue and 7th street. City leaders say the roundabout is part of a longterm traffic plan for the core of marion. Money for the project came from general Obligation Bonds and a 1 million grant from the iowa dot. Starting today, drivers using dubuque street in iowa city will have to pay closer attention since construction crews are changing the lanes. Crews are moving the lanes by lane of traffic for each direction. The work on this road is part of the iowa city gateway project. The city wants to raise dubuque street to keep it from flooding. Cedar rapids has changed 2 traffic lights to stop signs. The new signs are at the intersections of center point road ne and j avenue, as well as Cottage Grove avenue and 34th street se. The city says it needed to repair those traffic lights. It did a study andfo traffic. So the city went ahead with installing the costeffective stop signs. The iowa dot expects the highway 100 extension in cedar rapids to open just after thanksgiving. This will connect highway 100 also known as collins road past edgewood road to covington road, which leads to palo. The project costs 215 Million Dollars. Eventually, highway 100 will reach u. S. 30 in four years. The dot says good weather has helped the project stay on got to practice a scenario in the classroom they might encounter in real life at a pharmacy. The 3rd Year Graduate pharmacy students worked under 2 scenarios involving opioid abuse. They had to identify patients who asked for prescriptions before their refill date and also patients who needed more help managing pain.
