Starting today, drivers using dubuque street in iowa city will have to pay closer attention since construction crews are changing the lanes. Crews are moving the lanes by lane of traffic for each direction. The work on this road is part of the iowa city gateway project. The city wants to raise dubuque street to keep it from flooding. The iowa dot expects the highway 100 extension in cedar rapids to open just after thanksgiving.
