good morning from the studio 57 newsroom at cbs news headquarters here in new york. good to be with you. i'm anne-marie green. donald trump has intensified his rigged election rhetoric. more clinton e-mails have been released. this morning there is anger following the bombing of a republican campaign office in north carolina. a new cbs news battleground tracker poll t a release of video where trump talks about groping women shows a dramatic shift in 13 states. hillary clinton is now ahead 46-40 points over trump. the clinton jump is due to a switch by women voters. clinton has gone from a five-point advantage to a 15-point lead. hena daniels is here in new york. hena, good morning. >> good morning, anne-marie. three weeks to election day, donald trump is taking his war of words with rival hillary clinton to a new level. connecting her for a weekend nine women leveled sexual nce - assault allegations against him. >> reporter: offering no evidence, donald trump penned saturday night's fire bomb attack on the republican party headquarters in hillsborough to hillary clinton and her supporters, tweeting, quote, animals representing clinton and dems in north carolina just firebombed the office, because we are winning. >> the couch, the chair. >> reporter: clinton alsto horrific and unacceptable. a swastika and the words nazi republicans get out of town or else, were spray painted outside the building. >> the election is being rigged by corrupt media. >> reporter: the incident came as trump and his surrogates spent the week casting doubt on the u.s. election system. top trump adviser rudy giuliani claimed democrats could steal votes in inner cities. >> you want me to tell you i think the election in philadelphia and chicago is going to be fair? >> reporter: trump's own running mate, mike pence, was more cautious. >> we will absolutely accept the results of the election. >> reporter: clinton still faces challenges of her own as wikileaks continues to publish more e-mails at link to her campaign. >> you can't assume that they are all accurate. >> reporter: the latest batch released yesterday showed clinton aides struggling to respond to the lgbt community, after the democratic nominee praised nancy reagan last march for starting a national conversation about aids in the 1980s. activists have long criticized former president ronald reagan for his so-called slow response to the crisis. clinton immediately tweeted an apology after her initial remarks at nancy reagan's clinton is off the campaign trail today, while trump holds a even in wisconsin. the two are set to meet face-to-face in their third and final presidential debate this wednesday in las vegas. coming up on "cbs this morning," we will talk about clinton's hacked e-mails and trump's claim of a rigged election with gerald seib, washington bureau chief for "the wall street journal." this morning, the battle to retake mosul from isis is under way. mosul, iraq's second largest city, is located 225 miles northwest of baghdad. iraqi government troops and kurdish forces are backed by u.s.-led coalition air and mosul has been under isis control since june of 2014. it is the militant group's last major stronghold in iraq. secretary of state john contrary met with british foreign secretary boris johnson yesterday in london and said the u.s. is considering more sanctions against syria. the west has accused syria and russia of bombing hospitals, killing civilians and preventing medical evaluations have gone the syrian civil war. a storm that hit the pacific northwest turned out to be less the storm was forecast to be one of the worst in recent history. this morning, weather forecasters are taking some heat, but the high wind did knock out power to thousands. ben tracy has our report. >> reporter: the winds were strong enough to topple trees and power lines. leaving tens of thousands without power and a big mess to clean up. seattle, it turned up puget sound with wind gusts between 40 and 50 miles per hour but it is the pacific northwest and even this storm did not stop people from coming out to take a look. heidi's daughter kia was riding out the storm in singular style. what are you doing out here? why are you not at home? >> we wanted to come out and do some storm watching. >> reporter: you're definitely watching a storm and it's hitting you in the face. >> reporter: this massive storm system, fueled by the remnants of a powerful pacific typhoon, could have been much worse. it weakened unexpectedly and tracked west, sparing seattle the worst winds. the national weather service and some local meteorologists are taking some heat for overhyping the storm, but if it's your house that a tree ends up on, you probably think the storm was plenty powerful. ben tracy, cbs news, in washington. a wildfire that destroyed 22 homes in nevada is 55% contained this morning. the so-called little valley fire started friday and has burned over 3,400 acres north of carson city. heavy rain is helping control the flames but creating a new concern, flooding and landslides. some mandatory evacuations remain in place and at least 17 other buildings were also damaged. "rolling stone" magazine over its story about a brutal gang rape at the university of virginia is scheduled to begin today. the story about a woman being gang-raped during a fraternity initiation was published two years ago. they claim the article portrayed her as different than the alleged victim's plight. she is suing for 7.8 million. the police found no evidence to back up the rape allegations.
