stacey: a new trial start date is set for a man accused of fatally shooting a neighbor in des moines. 30-year-old patrick kirwan has pleaded not guilty to first degree murder in the death of 35-year-old mark hruska. court records show the new trial date is set for february 29. steve: a major increase in the reward being offered in a 2-year-old missing person case. kcci's emmy victor is live in studio to tell us why. emmy: steve, 22-year-old ethan kazmerzak of hampton went missing september 15, 2013. today, hampton police announced the reward offered in the case is going up from $20,000 to $100,000. a group of anonymous donors pooled the money. the reward is being offered for any relevant and useful information that leads to the current location and/or safe return of kazmerzak. he has dark blond hair and a beard, wears glasses and has a grateful dead tattoo on his upper left arm. the was driving a silver 2006 volkswagen jetta with iowa license plate auz-382. anyone with information should call north iowa crimestoppers at 1-800-383-0088. stacey: a norwalk mom is robbed shopping mall. kcci's kim st. onge is in studio with the story. kim lindsey sprouse was walking mall parking lot near von maur just after 6:00 last night when mask. within seconds, he was in front of her, pointing a gun. about an hour after sunset in a well-lit parking lot outside a popular shopping mall, lindsey sprouse experienced one of the most terrifying moments of her life. >> i didn't have much time to react because the second i stepped off the curb and walking vehicle, he stepped off the curb and starting b-lining towards me. kim she's too shaken up to go on pointed what turned out to be a bb gun at her and demanded her stuff. her husband was on the phone with her listening to the entire , confrontation. >> you don't know if you're suddenly gonna feel pain from the bullet that's pointing at you. i'm still really shooken. cam: shaken but luckily not injured. thorpe got away with her wallet, cell phone and keys to her ford escape. windsor heights police spotted the stolen suv 10 minutes later at the walmart off 73rd street. >> always good woman catch them street between interstate-235 and ingersoll around 8:30 this morning. police say 22-year-old scalicity angel perez died after being ejected from the car. the driver, troy mure junior, is in mercy medical center. the car was so mangled, at first police couldn't even tell the make or model. the vehicle split in half after hitting a high-voltage power pole, which sparked and caught some nearby trees on fire. >> our belief is that it was it slid out of control and hit the pole. the transformer blew, a kind of extinguished itself. steve: family members tell us the driver said he was being chased at the time, and gunshots were fired. des moines police are still investigating what caused the deadly crash. stacey: the johnston community school district is set to approve the resignation of bus driver robert scarbrough tonight. and child endangerment of a special needs student in october. the incident was caught on video by other students. the special needs student's family says they may file a civil suit against scarbrough. steve: more than 24 hours after learning he was fired paul rhodes speaks to the media. kci sports director andy garman joins us now with what he said. andy: if street cleaner found what they say is an explosive belt without a detonator. it was in the same location where authorities found a cell phone belonging to salah abdeslam, a fugitive suspected of
