(loren susor/minocqua assistant fire chief) "not enough snow. too warm, too much rain." since the 1960s, the town of minocqua has built a three- layer sky high snowman who goes by the name of snowmy kromer. (tom bird/snowmy builder) "it's not often you get to build a 30-foot snowman. any time you get to build a snowman where you're using a backhoe, it's fun." it all started after the stormy kromer hat company created a size 96 special cap for snowmy the mascot. even though snowmy is decades old, he became world mous last year after going viral.
