ainsley: i don't think i have taken a vacation in a long time. right? abby, you are going to be here next to brian, right? abby: i will be here. you didn't warn me it was with. brian: brian abby is over there wearing her parka hoping not to be cold. andy grammer was born to do a morning song. ainsley: talking about deportation, the white house is clearing the way for deportations working on executive order should be released we are learning some time this week. it may be tomorrow. it maybe the next day. police in new york city and other sanctuary cities around the country. you know, they are going to be rounding up people who are here illegally who have committed crimes if that executive order is passed or goes through. but, we're reading this morning in the daily news, there is an editorial in there saying that they have a moral obligation. let me read you exactly what it says. century cities have a moral and practical obligation to refuse to cooperate with this. steve: right. given the fact that now donald trump is going to keep a campaign promise to enforce the laws. keep in mind these are laws that have been on the books but not enforced by president obama going forward, you know it, starts with the criminal element. but then if you have been charged with things or defraud the government government, you are susceptible to being deported. what is interesting about this though is here in new york city, sanctuary city there is a local councilman who says well, look, if we arrest somebody for doing something illegal they will wind up being fingerprinted and be in a data base. they might get deported. his suggestion to the mayor is don't arrest anybody. instead give out civil summonses. that way the feds won't know who is in this country illegally in this town. brian: los angeles doing something similar. what they say what the federal government has over these cities, of the top ten cities get a total of $2.27 billion in federal funding. so if you don't want to enforce that, donald trump could say you are not getting that money. now, if you are in that city and so many of these cities are in the red and you are saying to yourself you are working real hard. the city tax is so high and now they are fighting in order to give people who aren't paying taxes money out of your pocket, how many times are you going to say to my elected official i really supportive of you guys because most people are paycheck to paycheck. they are not independently wealthy. not sitting there with a zillion dollars in the bank thinking this is a big foundation. it's not. on top of that, have you got this big dinners between this executive order that's ready to launch and the one that launched two weeks ago. we have a homeland security secretary that's already implementing this. already knows what he is going to do with the 5,000 more border patrol agencies or 5,000 more ice patrol agents. he is also going to know what's going to be happening with the catch and release program. it is coming to answered. ainsley: here is the thing if you live in this city have you to keep your mouth shut if you voted for donald trump you will get attacked. if you live in l.a. and california, same thing. there is the middle of america. all those counties. remember that map when president trump won? are we going to start seeing these guys on trial and convicted and death penalty? >> the president has been really explicit, brian, that the gitmo is a very, very important tool. beyond just the question of detention facility or tribunals, it's also important to understand that guantanamo bay is an incredibly important intelligence asset. you look at the things that we have managed to achieve based upon the gedges intelligence gleensd from the prisoners there. we stand by the president's determination during the campaign that this is something we have to keep. steve: well, dr. gorka you are not only talking about the news you are in the news. >> priceless. good job mom. well done. send a message. >> donald trump send a message when he was campaigning he said if you make me president of the united states, elect me as president. i will enforce the immigration rules and laws in the united states. yesterday, once again, he reiterated if you are in this country illegally, you have been convicted, haven't been deported. you have been involved in crime, you're going to go, you know, eventually shown the door. >> yeah. steve: some on the left are saying this is just the beginning of mass deportations, people should hide in their basements. >> one thing whether you like tr he living up to campaign promise and living up to them quickly. is he not dragging his feet. working on the repeal and replacement of obamacare. he has already got plans in the works for building the wall. he, you know, the people who are protesting against him, frankly, didn't agree with his policies when he was campaigning. so, of course, they are not going to agree with him now. steve: sure. >> people did agree with him are delighted that he is actually a politician following through with his campaign promises. brian: fear in doing that for politicians is you come off anti-hispanic. that's what got -- when he first started as a candidate they said oh my goodness i cannot believe he just said a lot of people coming from mexico are drug dealers are not sending us their best. people thought that was going to be a disaster for the party. >> yeah, well, i mean, let's face it, he is not president obama when he speaks. he is not a smooth speaker. brian: never will be. >> puts his foot in his mouth all the time. however, i'm hispanic. i don't think is he anti-hispanic. this is a country of laws. i'm delighted is he protecting the dreamers because i think that that is a different set of category -- different category of people there. but, you know, is he basically saying, look, this is a country of laws. and the laws, if they are violated we have to take action or they mean nothing. i understand that. whether i agree or disagree with it, i understand it. he is following the laws. it's not anti-hispanic or anti-anything. it's what he ran on which is important because he got elected on that plot form. steve: okay. but then there come cases. a couple of weeks or so ago. there was that one woman who was grabbed in a raid and it looks like she is going to be deported and it made all the headlines. there is the new one a young manual by the name of danny ramirez who is one the dreamers that you referred to. but in this -- he was arrested along with some others. and then apparently he said he was in a gang and so now they want to deport him but the left, their hair is on fire. >> yeah. because his lawyer is saying he never said he was in a gang. if you are a gang member or you commit a crime, you lose your dhaka protection. the protection they give to dreamers are gone if you become a criminal and rightfully so. so the ice agent said he admitted to gang affiliations he has a gang tattoo. his lawyer says that's a bunch of garbage that they made it up. that's just a factual question. in every case the lawyer comes forward and accuses the police of wrongdoing. adversarial system. ainsley: do they have him on tape he was in a gang. >> we don't know. that's issue for trial. brian: federal government saying no more sanctuary cities and these mayor's, a lot of democratic mayor's says no, we are going to protect you don't worry about it from rahm emanuel on down. the rubber hits the road when it comes to federal funding. what do you do? >> i think that's going to end. i think that once these citizens start to feel the pain of the loss of federal money, they're going to start questioning the logic of their leaders and saying we're going to fight this. because, every city, i mean, practically every city gets federal money and like new york gets $10 billion. many get hundreds of millions. when that money is gone and the citizens start to feel it, we're going to see a change, i believe. i think trump has hit the nail on the head. ainsley: president trump is saying if you are lehr illegally and you have committed a crime, a felony. there are 11 million illegals in the country. 690,000 are felons. those folks are going to be shown the door. they're going to go back home. there are some mayors and some leaders in sanctuary cities saying well then, final, we won't charge anyone with a crime. if we arrest you and find out you are doing something wrong, we're not going to charge you because we don't want you to live we want to protect you. >> think how stupid that is. if you live in a city and a criminal is being protected and kept on the streets because they don't want them deported, i think you are going to reconsider whether you want to elect that same person again. brian: we were talking about this right before the segment started. there is a lot of niewforts news saying there is going to be damage coming our way we don't have it? these acts are going to result in violence. >> sure. ainsley: we should be prepared. >> hugely ironic, those same newscasters same ones fanning the flames against police officers. they had no problem maligning them and creating hatred. brian: hands up, don't shoot. >> not just that epidemic of cop shootings. five cops got shot in dallas. police officers are getting shot all the time. the police shootings are up dramatically. i think it's very ironic that here you have the same newt newscasters saying you are going to see something somebody is going to get hurt. ainsley: same ones that wanted to vote for hillary rodham clinton. we were playing sound bites of her earlier and other democratic leaders they were all saying the exact same thing that president trump is saying we need to secure the borders. immigration is a big issue. >> it is. trump got elected on that platform. the bottom line is the people who don't like his policies will continue to profit and to d not like his policies. he got elected. unlike a politician he is actually doing what he said he was going to do and we are only a month in. steve: this is very personal to you because before you were a judge you were actually a police officer. >> sure. steve: trump has called out the media he said look, there are some stories out there that simply are not true and i call them fake news. >> i don't disagree with him at all. i there if you change the channel any time during the day you will see nothing but trump bashing because that's what's going on out there. before he got elected it was all about keeping him from getting elected. once he got elected trying to get the electors to not do their duty and vote for him. once they did that now a matter of delegitimizing. steve: it's russia. russia hacked the election. >> making sure if he makes it four years he is a one-term president. that's agenda americans are catching on to. brian: 90% of republican russ very much in his court. they saw that rally in orlando and they thought man -- >> -- he is pulling in independents dramatically. even though they worry about his demeanor, they're seeing him do things. and it's going to be -- the proof is in the pudding. if he turns the economy around and jobs come in. if he gets results, everybody is going to change their view of him. steve: sure. he has already gotten results. he promised he was going to do something about immigration. is he doing that right now. you look at his bucket list of the first 30, 40 days, he has done at love stuff. brian: he has got to get republicans going. they have got to get some legislation going. >> isn't it crazy how they are criticizing. >> can you imagine them criticizing obama after 30 days they would say are you crazy? >> so, when i showed the video to my friends, they said that it was so cool that i was -- that i was able to run and catch my brother. and then when it went on tv, they said that it was so cool that i was on tv. ainsley: it really is. and you did a good thing. now, you were brave come forward with this. i know you said a few months ago that you were embarrassed at first. what is your message to moms? brian: yeah, your wake-up call. ainsley: am i allowed to dance on the tables as a news anchor? i'm just kidding. i'm not going to do that. first of all, i can't dance. second of all, i can't do tables. brian: and there's no tables on vacation. eat on your lap. ainsley: moving on. come on. steve: that's right. we are going to miss the daily news and of course today the news is -- it looks like it's probably now going to be friday when the president of the united states signs that new executive order. ainsley: i thought maybe tomorrow. steve: it looks like john roberts has just sent out a note from the white house that it looks like the executive travel ban for those people from the seven countries will probably come on friday. this on the heels of his immigration policy overhaul. keep in mind all donald trump is doing is keeping his campaign promises to enforce the laws of the land, and they are vigorous but targeted enforcement. and it appears to be what americans have wanted all along because we would like to be a sovereign nation. ainsley: well, if you look at the. brian: among the things in his memo are the 5,000 border patrol agents, 10,000 more ice agents. he's going to say goodbye catch and release. he's going to be expanding evidently the holding cells for people coming across the border as well as filling in the border fence and wall when needed. ainsley: and, brian, just to show you what an impact that is. 10,000 more ice agents. that is three times the current number. steve: well, here's the fortunately. they have been handcuffed, the agents for border patrol and ice for so long because there have been so many different carve-outs where you cannot arrest this person, you can't arrest that person, you can't deport these people. there was one carve-out that said an illegal had to be caught within 100 miles of the border, and they had to be apprehended in the first two weeks that they were in the united states, which is really kind of hard to imagine. ainsley: that was the only way to send them home without a long, lengthy trial. steve: so now what they've done instead of two weeks, it's going to be two years, and it can be anywhere in the united states. of course, you watch the mainstream media, and they are not happy with this. they're saying, look, people be ready for the deportation force, which is not true. they're not going to come and round up people because the ice and border patrol simply don't have the manpower or budget to round up 11 million people. ainsley: and it saves americans money; right? because these folks aren't held up in court? brian: some of the critics say this. you can't throw out 11 million that commit crimes. the 1.9 million felonies is going to cost between 420 and $600 billion. the 13 billion-dollar bill just to prosecute these. so a lot of people saying as you put these things into motion comes a bigger bill down the line. my sense when you put into motion, the matting will be shut off, people will get the message. others will be forced to sign in and say how do i make it from here or sign out and say i can't make it here. ainsley: it was a small portion. you were saying 1.9 are felons? it's 1.9 have committed crimes. of those, 690,000 are felons. brian: mine was -- to get rid of those felons, it's going to cost a lot of money, they say. judge alex was here earlier whose hispanic and said the message isn't really against the hispanic community. >> look, i'm hispanic. i don't think he's antihispanic. he's -- this is a country of laws. and as best -- i'm delighted he's protecting the dreamers because i think that that is a different set of category -- different category of people there. but, you know, he's basically saying, look, this is a country of laws and the laws if they're violated, we have to take action or them nothing. i understand that. whether i agree or disagree with it, i understand it. he's following the laws. it's not antihispanic. it's not antianything. it's what he ran on, and it's important because he got elected on that platform. steve: alex is down in south florida. there are a number of sanctuary areas down there. we are broadcasting right now from the biggest sanctuary city in the united states of america. how do people across the country feel about sanctuary cities where if somebody is arrested and there's an ice detainer on them, they will not turn them over to the feds. well, harvard did a study and look at this. 80% of americans say that cities should turn them over to federal agents. that's -- ainsley: but you wouldn't know that. steve: what's going on here in new york and california. brian: keep in mind, people. you can say, well, i have a big heart. well, good. do you care about your kids in schools? because the money that goes to social programs that don't belong here goes away from your schools, away from your parks, your curbs, your streets, your cops. so you're making a choice here. you onto have a finite amount of money and a lot of that money is going to be pulled back because of your mayors. ainsley: and to your point, president trump wants to remove the felons. he wants to remove the ones who are rapists, have committed crimes, homicides included, you remember the list a few days ago of all of those people what their crimes are. they're really serious criminals. are these bad criminals. so you want your taxpayers? you get up every morning, you rather spend time with your kids but you can't do. you have to go to work so that you can put food on the table. would you rather your hard-earned dollars pay for these criminals and their families? brian: sure. so let's talk about donald trump and what he's up against. we know about hillary clinton supporters. about them not being able to handle that they lost. how about this? how about mislabeled and miscategorized in the areas which he doesn't belong. donald trump makes enough mistakes and brings enough to the table being a rookie politician let alone being called anti-semitic. yesterday he denounced anti-semitic acts that took place over the weekend. is this okay with you? trump: this was a meaningful reminder of why we have to fight bigotry, intolerance, and hatred in all of it's very ugly forms. the anti-semitic threats targeting our jewish community and community centers are horrible and are painful and a very sad reminder of the work that still must be done to root out hate and prejudice and evil. steve: so there you've got the president of the united states he was at the smithsonian museum for african-american history and culture yesterday for black history month, which is february. and he commented on what had happened, essentially, out in the st. louis area where there was a number of -- quite a bit of vandalism of some headstones in a jewish cemetery. now, here's the thing. right after he did that, somebody -- i think it was the leader at the anne frank foundation said it's not enough. he's an anti-semite in his comments and who is at the white house, they say. they saya alveda king was on last night and wants to spread the idea of where does that come from? steve: the haters are going to hate. meanwhile, while the press is trying to depict donald trump's first 40 days as being a complete disarray, brian had a great interview with josh king who used to work in the clinton communication shop during the clinton years. and he says you know what? where are all of these journalists to criticize members of hollywood? members of their own industry who have outright explicitly called for violence not only against donald trump himself? i mean, do these people not recall that during the campaign last year and leading up until election day that the #assassinatetrump was trending? where were they to pontificate about the dangers of the climate of hate and climate of left wing insight rhetoric? they were nowhere. they were awol. hypocrites. ainsley: michelle, let's talk about immigration now. the president is clearing way for more deportation with this executive order that we're expecting thursday or friday, or friday steve said. if you look at this harvard study, 80% -- this is a harvard study. 80%, they support cities that arrest illegals and said they should turn them over to ice agents or border patrol agents so that they should be deported if they're criminals. but now we're learning in one of the newspapers this morning there's an editorial encouraging some of these mayors from sanctuary cities to -- if they find an illegal doing something wrong, don't arrest them because then they'll have a criminal record and then they will get deported. what's your opinion? >> well, first of all, we have to stop calling these places sanctuary cities. they're outlaw cities. these are safe spaces for criminality and people are sick and tired of it. and the human cry from ordinary americans and taxpayers who know that they are pandering mayors and mush minded police chiefs are not serving them but rather serving open borders special interest, they're finally being heard by donald trump and this administration. we now have attorney general jeff sessions who is committed to enforcing the rule of law and sending a message to every one of these police departments that they must not defy that rule of law. brian: i just hope president obama is behind it. can you imagine bill clinton doing that to bush 43 or 43 doing that to president obama? if his organization is behind it, and he's fueling it, that is to say unpresidential club-like. >> well, yeah, i think it's actually treacherous behavior, and we know that these groups are behind it. we know that organizing for america, the seiu, soros-funded open borders agitators, this is what they do. it's agitation for agitation-sake. steve: absolutely and barack obama doesn't want his legacy destroyed by donald trump, so he would do -- i would imagine he would do pretty much anything to continue the legacy. so that's why ofa, organizing for action is out there organizing people. last night on this channel, michelle, i don't know if you saw the tucker carlson program, but he had one of these organizers for one of the groups called refuse fascism. and he called them out just to figure out what they're about and all he wanted to know is what do you want? >> well, the message is, first of all, everyone keeps talking about the fear. i don't think they know what real fear is. and if they have to be inqueens for a little while, i don't think that that's anything compared to burying your child. you know, if i had brought my son here illegally, i would be the first to stand up and say, hey, raise my mistake. where do i go? the only thing to do is face it. they can't sit there in fear. i don't know if they know what true fear is. ainsley: department of homeland security just released a plan, donald trump will release this executive order we think on friday. what do you like about it? >> i like everything about it. i don't know when the media or other people are going to understand that trump is doing what he said he would do. mr. trump. i'm sorry, mr. president. is doing what he said he would do. nobody thought he would get in, he got in. nobody thought he woul his word, he's keeping his word. programs like my voice when it happened to me. you know, we needed counseling, we needed expenses, and some of us needed legal advice. and there was nothing in place to help american citizens. and there's so much money being funneled to help illegal citizens navigate this system. it is wrong. ainsley: yeah, you're right. you're absolutely right. now, this plan, it's going to take place, you know, we don't know when it's actually going to be rolled out. maybe the next month or so. what is your advice to the folks like the mainstream media? >> well, look, what's really clear is that we're always, always going to upset the liberal media. the liberal media is never going to -- brian: so that's how you like? >> exactly. we're never going to make the liberal media happy. and the other thing that we're doing is we are going directly to the people. you just mentioned we're on facebook live. the questions directly from the people, and we're happy to take our message. we don't take for the liberal media. we work, and we fight for the people. brian: and you said you're starting to drain the swamp. you've adopted that slogan. also what about the fact you looking at what governor walker did in wisconsin and trying to do the same thing with unions possibly in missouri. >> well, we came to fight for more jobs and higher pay for the people of missouri. that was our mission from day one, and we've already started. you know, we signed right to work legislation in just a couple of days later i had the ceo of auto alert call me. he told me they're bringing their corporate headquarters now from california to missouri over 300 new jobs, brian, over 80,000 dollars a year annual salary in those jobs. and what's really fantastic about this is that we put out the message that missouri is open for business. and any ceo, any entrepreneur in a high tax liberal high regulation state like california, you're welcome to come to missouri. brian: and what are you going to say to vice president pence? >> well, we're going to let vice president pence know that america's economic come back starts right here in the state of missouri, and we're excited to work with him to roll back obamacare, to repeal regulations so that we can build a thriving and prosperous economy here in the state of missouri. that's what people sent us here to fight for. brian: and, governor, are you okay with the critics?
