"fox & friends" begins right now. >> hi, this is paul stanley and you are watching "fox & friends." >> the paul stanley of kiss for those of you keeping track at 6:00 a.m. >> my friend, i meant to see him yesterday, playing guitar with him. >> who, paul stanley. >> not my friend paul stanley but my friend got to hang out with paul stanley. >> wow, that's very close. >> so i'm very close then to paul stanley. >> you are like a member of the band. >> hi juliet huddy nice to see you this morning. >> hi. doing well? >> rick is going to join us live from the auto show. we kicked him out of the studio this morning. he is going to show us all the hot rods for spring. >> have you been down to the auto show yet? >> yes. >> you have? >> i love that. i love cars. >> live in a few minutes. first some headlines. we begin with a flirt overnight we learned the person in charge of the ferry when it sank off the coast of south korea was navigating the waters the first time that mate, the ferry's captain and another crew member all arrested. they are in custody of suspicion of negligence and abandoning people in need. the captain pictured here is accused of being one of the first people off the boat. we were hearing that yesterday. didn't want to believe it at least 32 people confirmed dead as the search for survivors continues. today rescuers are scheduled to make 40 difsz in an attempt to reach any survivors. at least 270 people, many of them high school students, are are still missing. and another fox news alert. a u.s. drone strike in yemen killed 9 suspected al qaeda terrorists. the raid targeted the car in the southwest part of the country. the drone had been circling the region for days. and scary moments on board a delta airlines flight. the plane forced to land in a remote area of denver international airport after a note with a bomb threat was found on board. the plane was on its way to denver from detroit. all 151 passengers were questioned by the fbi and luggage was screened. the fbi is continuing the investigation. moving on now, the white house finally responds to the question on everyone's mind. every teen's mind i should say. ♪ i just need somebody to love ♪ i don't need too much ♪ just somebody to love. >> justin bieber will not be deported. thank you. more than 270,000 people signed a petition. they are all probably under the age of 12. to have the pop star kicked back to canada. or over the age of 12 i should say. boozey antics and arrests. the white house saying sorry to disappoint but we'll not be commenting on this one. we will leave it to others to comment on mr. bieber's case. we are glad you care about immigration issues. >> is that what he sounds like? i had no idea. >> you are going to get all his albums now. >> i kind of like his songs to be honest with you. >> rick is surrounded by thousands of the latest cars trucks and suvs. he is at the international auto show. good morning, rick. >> he is also a mime. >> auto show started in -- in my ear, do you hear me? >> now we hear you. >> do you hear me? >> yes. we hear you. >> hey, guys, yes. this started in 1800 it starts today. they are expecting a million visitors to come through this auto show which is always a ton of fun. we are here in toyota because one of our wounded warriors is going to be given a toyota at the end of the show today on it was it. very excited about that temperaturewise, get ready, we have a pretty nice day that we're going to be looking at across a lot of the country. especially the plains where temps are going to be in the 50s to start your day but 70s later on. do have some problems going on, especially across areas of florida. the tornado watch in effect until 10:00 in the morning across areas of south florida. get ready for seeing potentially some tornadoes if you are waking up with us this, no. make sure you are aware what's going on. heavy rain falling across the southeast and flooding across charlesston, south carolina. the rain sticks with us the next couple of days. temperatures across the country looking really pretty nice. great temperatures. really cold great lakes far new england, look at those 70s and 80's across the plains. clayton, what do you think about this one in the concept car for toyota. i really want this to finally get into production one of these days. there is is no steering wheel. >> that's fantastic. and for you like, you know, tiny new york apartment, you can pack it up and bring it upstairs. >> i could almost fit that in my apartment. you are right. >> backpack. >> that's a weird looking vehicle. >> harry reid doubles down. you may have seen this recently. the senate majority leader referred to the bundy family in his home silver state of nevada people supporting him as domestic terrorists. it's not the bundies but the people who are supporting him. watch this. this is harry reid. >> if there were ever an example of people who were domestic violent terrorists wanna bees. these are the guys. no one called bundies the domestic terrorists. the people who came there were. >> he yesterday this statement journal big sitdown meeting wednesday night or thursday night. he sat down on stage and said, you know, the bundies hate america. they hate america. they don't believe in the american government. >> they hate overreaching government is what they hate. >> that's exactly what they hate. to clarify then he says all of these people, these people that you are seeing in the video here that showed up to lend their support to the bundies and also against government land grabs that they hate america, that they are domestic terrorists. theist guys here riding on horseback carrying american flags. >> to be terrorists don't you have to break laws? what did they do? they showed up. the critics of bundy are are saying we are mittology mittology jizzing american counsel. he is not paying his taxes. people showing up are there to support him. not breaking laws as far as you know. >> wonder why reid is getting deeper in this and contrast his willingness to throw words around with other cases. people who killed four americans in benghazi were presented as demonstrators who had grievances against a youtube video. they were very very hesitant to call them terrorists. these people who have hurt no one, just out there expressing their first amendment rights, they are terrorists? >> domestic terrorism so you are holding up these guys to support the cliven bundy folks and the people who exacted bombings on folks at boston during the boston marathon, those are terrorists? >> are they patriots though? because, you know, they had the republican senator there along with harry reid and he said that he looks at them as patriots. >> they're not terrorists. that's the point. and i have got to say, it takes an extremist to use language like that. it really does. i don't think the senate majority leader ought to be throwing words like domestic terrorist around. was he there? he wasn't each there. >> he is in succession for the presidency. this is not some random member of congress. this is the top democrat in the entire legislative branch. what are you doing throwing that language around? that's totally irresponsible. >> da sousa was there. he describes the people that were there. >> a whole bunch of people here have little name tags and even the kids are wearing them just saying domestic terrorist. when you look at an all-american kid with a doe meigs stick terrorist sign you begin to see the preposterousness of what is really going on here. this is not really about whether mr. bundy paid his taxes or not. this is really about the rule of law and whether this administration is enforcing it even handily or whether or not the obama guys are enforcing the laws they want to enforce and choosing to enforce against the citizens that they are against. >> that's been argued that the obama administration likes to play politics. that could be what's at play again on a friday night document dump. the keystone pipeline contentious going back to 2008 first filed for application. it turns out that the obama administration has now basically indefinitely delayed the keystone pipeline application going on for years now. i think they put it out for like five years now. any chance of this actually happening seems like it's shelved indefinitely now. >> this something that you said has been going on for a long time. it's really turned into exercise in frustration. the state department says look, we need to give states more time to weigh in. we need to look at some public comments. they have had years to do. this mary landrieu who is a democrat was making a great point she said, you know, this just looks like it's never going to happen. the way she feels that way just little minute things are holding up a gigantic process. these little issues are holding up something that should have been passed a long time ago. >> mary drew is a desperate person in a tough senate race pretending she is not a obama supporter. canadians always more left wing country than united states. progressive canada reactionary america. they are somehow on the free market side. here is the canadian ambassador to the united states gary talking about the keystone pipeline. >> there is hundreds of trucks every day on highway 2 in north dakota. >> missions left and right. >> they have higher emissions there is a role for rail for smaller refineries. when you look at the amount of oil coming from north dakota, montana, and canada, it is the cleanest, saferrest way to proceed. and that's the debate has become symbolic but not substantial in terms of the why we should proceed with this project. >> and that's a great point. right, the argument from the left is this is going to be -- this is anti-environment, of course, bringing this pipeline in. if you look, canadians saying look the oil is still going to come here much costlier and dirtier to get it here by all the fossil fuels on trucks bringing it here instead of the pipeline bringing it here. >> right. talk about the jobs created 42,000 jobs. 3.4 billion to the economy. i mean, these numbers are -- 830,000 barrels a day. >> so what's this about? i mean, look, i think it's settled people are lecturing us about science and he we let science determine the outcome of policy and stuff are ignoring the facts here. so what is happening? clearly it's political and here's what's going on there is a small number of very rich, mostly billionaire democratic donors who see this as the key issue going forward. they have said to it obama, look, you want us to donate to your presidential library. he is trying to raise $750 million. valerie jarrett is passing the hat for that we are not contributing a dime. >> don't anger the base. >> the base is about two dozen super rich donors but, yes, that's exactly what this is about. >> let us know what you think about it, [email protected]. more on that coming up on the show. including, this democrats upping the race rhetoric just in time for the midterm election. >> i think race has something to do with the fact that they're not bringing up an immigration bill. >> are americans buying it? we will debate. >> then, when hornets attack, into a lake. this is my worst fear. those bugs did not stand a chance with this pro-golfer. what he did next. introducing the more everything plan. our best ever plan for families. four lines for only $160 a month. including 10 gigabytes of shareable data. 25 gigabytes of cloud storage to connect all the content you love. unlimited talk. and unlimited international messaging. all so your family can do more-- for less. our best plans. on the best network. for best results, use verizon. carsthey're why we innovate. they're who we protect. they're why we make life less complicated. it's about people. we are volvo of sweden. visit truecar.comoney, usn't and never overpay.yer's remorse. a good deal or not. joining me now conservatist karl jackson. thank your joining thus morning. >> good to be here, tucker. >> this nateed effort. what is this about. >> this is black racism fatigue. people like myself that have grown up in generation x and even the millennial generation have not experienced the racism that these democrats are talking about simply because we have had people like hank aaron that have gone before us that have dealt with those issues. thank god for those people. s a a result of what they've accomplished through the civil rights movement. we don't have to deal with this. so, this is nothing more than more race hurst ling and race baiting from the democratic party. >> it's a little weird since we have a black president elected twice with the majority of the popular vote, you would think that race relations would be better. every survey suggests they are worse. >> yeah. here's the thing, tucker, the democrat party, what they try to do is make you mad before they make you think, right? it's an emotional party. they have nothing to go on so what they try to do is keep -- they need a lower class. they have to keep a lower class. what they do is keep black people mad in order -- so that we don't concentrate on the issues but, rather, we get bogged up into these emotions and these race debates and, unfortunately, as a result of that we see racism perpetuated in america instead of people healing from racism. so that's what's going on. >> i think that's an astute observation and it's not just black voters, it's women, the war on women. >> absolutely. >> all of it. so having failed on the policy level, obamacare disaster, the idea is to divert attention over to identity politics? >> yeah. absolutely. this is, like i said, this is the only thing they have with the midterm elections coming up, you can't find a success of the obama administration, unfortunately, it saddens me to say that what they count on doing is, like i said, making people mad before they make people think. this is how they get people riled up. this is how they get blacks riled up. this is how they get women riled up. unfortunately, speaking of my race, particularly. it's to our detriment. as you know, the unemployment numbers among black youth are astronomical. we had hank aaron talking about racism of corporate america and society as a general -- society in general. this is absolute utter nonsense at this point in time. i mean, god has blessed this country so much, despite its flaws, america is a great nation. it's an exceptional nation where anybody that works hard can advance. and it's sad. it sickens me that we have a president and attorney general and quite honestly sports figures that will come out and instead of lifting blacks up and others, they continue to play this race card and i know some, like hank aaron it's not intentional, nevertheless, instead of using words of encouragement that would build blacks up, once again, we have a new generation of blacks coming up that perceive racism whether it's real or not. and i don't believe it is. >> makes people hate each other which is kind of scary. carl, thanks for joining us this morning. >> absolutely thank you, tucker. >> judge's court. >> i agree with the families. i hope you die in prison as well. >> holy smokes the judge got personal. did his views get in the way of a trial? we got a debate coming up. latest pop culture craze, the selfy. clayton takes them all the time. so why is one cop -- look at that why is one college banning selfies? we will tell you. stay tuned. the day we rescued riley was a truly amazing day. he was a matted mess in a small cage. so that was our first task, was getting him to wellness. without angie's list, i don't know if we could have found all the services we needed for our riley. from contractors and doctors to dog sitters and landscapers, you can find it all on angie's list. we found riley at the shelter, and found everything he needed at angie's list. join today at angieslist.com salesgets up to 795 highwayal is the passamiles per tank.sel salesperson #2: actually, we're throwing in a $1,000 fuel reward card. we've never done that. that's why there's never been a better time to buy a passat tdi clean diesel. husband: so it's like two deals in one?
