redirect police funding, because they have way too much money, a big change from three years ago. when he was running last time, at the democratic convention, he campaigned on the idea that police are racist, the dnc's platform stated millions of people in our country have good reason to fear that they may lose their lives in a routine traffic stop or while standing on a street corner. really? joe biden isn't talking like that anymore. it is not hard to see why. the anti-police movement that he supported big-time has destroyed major democratic controlled cities. take, for example, seattle. they lost many officers and hit a 30-year low in the number of officers on the payroll. on top of that, seattle's state government where the senate and hougs are controlled by democrats has decided to decriminalize drug possession, effective july 1st. no state law in washington against drug possession. that is absolutely true. democrats refused a compromise bill are republicans because it included a bill for addict that is did not want and seek treatment. fentanyl is flowing into washington state. who is hurting? the same minorities that joe biden claims to clear about. >> they say the impact of fentanyl continues for black or african-american individuals overdosing at approximately three times that of white population. >> doesn't seem to be helping people of color. there is an unprecedented evidence of fatal overdose. more than 100 fatal ods this month. that's a record. that's happening because fentanyl is legal now. when there is a lot of supply, the price goes down, more affordable. watch. >> fentanyl is one of the most dire health crises with the price playing a significant role. >> it first came into our community in 2015, 2016. they were very expensive and hard to get, $40, $50 a pill. now, they are pretty ubiquitous and run about $1-2 a pill according to reports that i saw last week. >> how is this working out? seattle has decriminalized drugs and a lot of people are die frg those drugs. that's the legacy of thedemic party's 2020 depolicing campaign. yeah, police are the problem. you should know the democrats in washington state have not given up on enforcing every law. they just passed a new assault weapons ban. you can't have a rifle but you can have fentanyl and as much as you want. jason rantz, an outstanding radio host, broke this story. this seechls astounding that people are tolerating this. >> it is. yet that's exactly what they are doing. i don't know how many people realize how dire it is going to be on july 1st in seattle. the weird thing is, i actually think this is a good move for the state. most cities here are not crazy. they don't support drug legalization. so now cities on their own get to decide what the drug policy is going to be. for the most part, they are going to adopt a bill that republicans had supported but too many democrats did not which says gross misdemeanor for those that continue to break the law, refuse to go into treatment, not taking this seriously. we need some teeth for enforcement. that's what most cities are going to do. there is a little bit of a leash on seattle. july 1st, that leash is gone. can you imagine how much worse it could potentially get? if you are going to go with a group of lawmakers that will go in, this is a city that will die a death by 1,000 fentanyl pills, routinely tried to push the envelope in getting heroin injection sites and hand out needles to whoever asks. it is a bad move. it is going to get worse. >> i think you are the only one left in seattle personally. governor jay insly signs a bill that bans the sale, deportation and importation of assault weapons temperature he banned ak-47s, ar-15s. they are the tenth state to implement restrictions in sales and you are going to be able to sue gunmakers as if it is their fault. what's your reaction to this very vulnerable law. >> first of all, it is patently unconstitutional. jay insly and the democrats know it will be take a long time for this to get resolved. he is banning guns that are not being used in washington state. criminals that they are releasing and going ease yes on, they are using handguns, usually, they are stolen. that's how they are committing these violent acts. they say, democrats tell us, they are doing this because they want to protect lives. they want to protect students. that just means they are going to come after handguns next. this bill doesn't just go after, quote, unquote, assault weapons, defined as scary-looking guns. they also go after some handguns and shotguns. i think the writing is on the wall to try to ban as many guns as humanly possible. they are going to continue to do it until the court stops them. >> they saluted governor insle. from the podium. fifty type of guns are banned. washington state will soon be empty, september for jason rantz. >> that's a shame. beautiful state. the unprecedented amount of drug abuse in seattle is leading directly is to a rise in violent crime. journalist, jonathan chum was filming when a homeless man decided to attack him. >> what did you call me? >> oh, you are going to die. >> brian: children in seattle are exposed to that every single day. in february, jonathan cho filmed this scene near a local high school. >> everybody is buying. >> reporter: at the corner of 12th and jackson, there is a thriving black market of stolen goods being sold for pennies on the dollar. on the other side, addicts use and trade hard core drugs in plain site. just down the block on king street, multiple infernos have raged out of control at this massive homeless encampment right underneath a state highway. look at this man with a needle in his arm, setting up for his next fix, doing it right in front of students as they head home from school. someone at sierra high school is caught in the middle of this unwanted action. the students at this charter school, along with math and science, are learning how to avoid fentanyl fumes. >> the guy is doing drugs right there. >> brian:. it is outrageous. jonathan cho joins us. who is helping with this problem? >> i hope the lawmakers an policymakers in washington state are watching this video. this is part of the raw realilities on the streets every single day in this city. the video don't lie. i am doing it to hold our officials accountable. i am doing it to hold the officials who put out bad public policy accountable. i'm the only one out here right now. that first video that you showed with the guy chasing me with a knife, that happened on monday at the corner of third avenue and cherry. that's part of the downtown core, a block away from seattle city hall. the mayor has a bird's eye view of this street. to his credit, he is constantly sweeping these tents that form on the street. in many cases, these are the so-called trap tents. it is not a homeless problem out here. you have people using these tents to sell drugs and traffic people. the mayor is on this. what's forming are these types of individuals, criminals. it is attracting these folks who are committing bad behavior and crimes quite frankly. i'm just spotlighting this. that's why that guy chased me. he didn't want to be called out and exposed. >> brian: if he wasn't clumsy enough or drunk enough or high enough to trip over a flat road, you could have been in trouble. he is fearless. he looked at you as a threat because you had a camera reporting on his lifestyle. jonathan, how long has it been this bad and do you sense it is going to get worse? >> unfortunately, i think it will get worse before it gets better. the major announced his downtown activation plan last week. it is still a hot mess. you have people doing fentanyl, a block away from pike's place market, the tourist core, where you have children and families walking by, just stunned at what's going on. there has got to be enforcement. jason rantz talked about this already. we don't have enough police officers. there has to be intervention for actual treatment. it has to be required, enforced. otherwise, there is going to be no end in sight. they keep electing or your colleagues there keep electing the same politician that is have a great tolerance for this. they think it is the right thing to do, which blows my mind. >> well, look, the old policies are failing. so if they are going to use the old playbook to address this ongoing crisis, that's not going to work. we need some new ideas and enforcement and intervention to deal with this ongoing humanitarian crisis. >> brian: jonathan, you put your life on the line to save a city. thank you. >> take care. >> brian: this experience in historic rising crime, other democratic running cities as well, including the one i'm in. that for later. san francisco sees more thefts than any other city in the country bar los angeles. l.a., you are still number one. that's why one target store in san francisco has been putting all of its products on lockdown. how annoying is this? this comes after whole foods had decided to shut down its flagship store in san francisco. too many people were robbing it. ricci greenberg is the founder of this group trying to help. your reaction to target. i am surprised they haven't pulled out rather than fenced up? >> first of all, thank you for having me, brian. this is not new. i am looking at video. i am seeing all the products behind plexiglas, locked up to prevent the massive loss of products, loss of inventory. we see also in walgreen's and cvs and all around the city. this is ridiculous we have to waste our time. there is so much uncontrolled rampant looting and theft. this is just ridiculous we have to live this way. richie, that's why chessa bodine is gone. if i'm caught shoplifting in that target and i am grabbed and nabbed, and you have me on camera, is anything going to happen to me? >> at this point, no. california has this pesky little law called prop 47, which what it does is it allows these perpetrators of crime, these thieves, to steal up to $950 worth of merchandise before it becomes a felony. because of that, that's what is going to prevent our district attorneys to hold these criminals accountable. if that changes, then we can possibly see a big change. right now, it is not going to happen. there is not going to be a change. >> brian: you are hundreds of police officers down. you don't see a change. here in new york, we have terrible no-cash bail laws. not enough but beginning to change. is there any movement among democrats with super majorities to sense, we have to do something? it is affecting all of us now? >> we do hear chatter and both here in san francisco with our city hall leadership along with the state in sacramento. there are these plans to potentially try and tweak and rye move certain parts of that prop 47 to make it $400 instead of $950 to lower that threshold to be a felony. as you brought up, the problem is, with he need more law enforcement on the street to take these chiefs that get caught off the street and bring them into the police station and then the district attorney needs to ramp up how many people are working there, their personnel to be able to do the accountable. right now, that's why we can't do it. >> brian: you are not thinking out of the box. you are think being the way things used to be. you commit a crime. you pay a price. therefore, many of you decide not to commit a crime. richie, hope people sober up soon. if i'm targeted, i'm out of there. just like whole foods is, i would not put my employees at risk. thank you very much. another guy taking action. the dnc has just announced there will nobody primary debates. nobody can challenge joe biden. one of his democratic challengers says this is unacceptable. she will join us next to explain. thanks for being here. hi, i'm susan, i've lost 84 pounds on golo and i've kept it off for a year. i had spent so much money on other products that when i saw the commercial for golo, the price was so much cheaper and i thought, "boy, this might not work but why not try it?" it is amazing and it works really well. goli, taste your goals. welcome back. joe biden announced today he is running for president again. if he wins, he will be 82. when he is done, he will be 86 at the end of his term. i did the math in my head. in his announcement video, joe biden was as divisive as he possibly could be. he said, if you don't vote for him, you are not interested in protecting democracy. >> freedom, personal freedom, fundamental to who we are as americans. there is nothing more important, nothing more sacred. that's been the work of my first term, to fight for our democracy. it shouldn't be a revolution to protect our rights to make sure everyone in it country is treated equally and that everyone is given a fair shot of making it. m maga extremists are lining up to take those freedoms and cut taxes from the wealthy and d dictating health care decisions women can make and banning books and telling you who you can love. this is not a time to be complacent. that's why i am running for re-election. >> brian: right, free to fire teachers, fire nurses, yes, free to get your vaccine or be fired. that's great. very interesting way to approach trying to get four more years, to protect joe biden, the dnc has announced there will nobody primary debates, so he does not have to flush this out. that shuts out marianne williamson, she is joining for the democratic precedential nomination. mary ann, are you surprised on that dnc decision? >> no, i'm not surprised. they have been indicate forg a while that there probably were going to be no debates. >> brian: disappointed? >> certainly, because i believe in democracy. i believe that the political parties should stay out of the issue until the primary voters have weighed in. whoever wins the primaries, that's who the dnc or the rnc should support. i don't think the dnc should be dictating on high they will try to in vince other candidates. >> brian: did you think they were doing the same thing in 2020? >> in 2020, there were robust debates. >> brian: they weren't picking the candidate? >> there has been a problem with the suppression of voices, bernie sanders and even mine. >> brian: only 26% of the country believe that president biden should run again. is that part of the reason you are in this race? >> you have 39% of americans sea think skip meals to pay their rent. we have 64% of americans that live paycheck to paycheck. 60 percent of americans that could not afford a $400 unexpected expenditure. we have 1 in 4 americans living with medical debt. 68,000 americans that die of lack of health care. i believe that americans should have the same opportunities they have in ever other democracy, such as universal health care and free college tuition, such as free childcare, such as paid family leave and sick pay and a guaranteed liveable wage. this is how governments behave who want to support their citizens in actually thriving. we should not be just listening to politicians that will tell us, i'll help you survive an unjust economic system. we need to end an unjust economic system and unshackle people to the invisible chains that hold too many down. >> how would you characterize his first 2 1/2 years in office? do you think he is ready for another four? >> for me, i think we need to present the american people with a completely different option. i think the president has taken an incremental approach to turn the country. the kind of incremental approaches that have been represented by this administration are not enough. i want to see universal health care and people be able to go to college. in the 1970s, we had a thriving middle class. in the 19 70s, the average american could afford a home, a car, a yearly vacation, could afford to send their kids to college. both parties have been complicit in so moving the opportunities for wealth and wealth creation into the hands of very few americans that at this point, it is an unbalanced system. we are not a government of the people, by the people, and for the people right now. we are a government of the corporations, by the corporations, and for the corporations. people on the left and the right are seeing this. it is time for the people to step in. the last thing we need is the same old same old. >> you are already doing better than last time. between 8%, 12%, of the vote, you are flooding the college campuses trying to get to the young people. what is their axe to grind? what are they are saying? >> we have over trillion dollars debt. even if he is successful with shaving off the college dead loan, we have tense of millions people carrying the college loan debts. i can't imagine being in my 20s and carrying tens of thousands of dollars worth of debt. all these kids were doing was trying to get an education. they are told that's the way to thrive, to be able to produce, to have a life. these kids, it would be crippling to carry that kind of debt. this is the kind of thing that i meet in these kids who are feeling rather hopeless about their own opportunities going forward. >> the dnc didn't want to hear from you but we do. best of luck in your appearance tomorrow. >> thank you for having me. >> brian: one of the big things to tackle china. china owns hundreds of acres of farmland, some near military tracks. introducing legislation that would ban china or its proxies from buying any private or public land located in the united states. senator, how did you become wear of this? >> brian, thanks for having me on to talk about this very important issue. it came to my attention through various reports where china has been looking to buy land. there is one very specific and problematic example in north dakota where a giant chinese conglomerate was going to build a large facility within line of site of grand forks air force base. it took a long time, too long in my opinion, to get our department of defense to acknowledge this posed grave risk to our national security. we have a lot of action, glenn young ton in virginia, sarah sanders in arkansas has already passed legislation. i take it a step further. first, a nation-wide ban and extend it beyond all land to farmland. american land should stay in americans hand, not in the hand of chinese communists who can use smart lawyers and lobbyists to manipulate the definition of agriculture. we should not introduce another avenue for chinese influential and manipulation into our country. >> they have 384,000 acres of american land. we see pictures of senator schumer getting awards from who we now know are chinese nationals acting as cops in downtown new york city policing their own citizens to make sure they march to their orders. now, we have the ambassador to france, china's ambassador to france who says he thinks some of these nations under the soviet influence are not legitimate nations. that's news to astonia, lithuania and poland and ukraine is being invaded right now. what's going on here? >> i think what you see over the last two years is president biden and some of our allies have appeased and conciliated china and turned their other cheek. right before he said that, emanuel macron went to china and said she should not do anything to upset them and they immediately increased military drills around taiwan. the more they say these things and think they can get away with it without condemnation and pushback, the more aggressive they will become. the military drills around china are specifically designed to make other countries less likely to respond to them. one day when they do go for the jugular, we may not be as prepared. >> brian: you are one of the first to point out the china threat. they are not going to be competitors. they are a threat on every level from latin-american to africa. teaming with russia makes them more morbidable. we have to be up to the challenge. a lot of democrats get it, which gives me encouragement. senator tom cotton, thank you. >> thank you, brian. >> the biden administration is starting to admit the entire inflation reduction act wasn't about inflation but another way to push their climate agenda. they had me until now. more on that next. >> welcome back. the so-called inflation law was last august. they are admitting it was about the climate change agenda. >> others said the inflation reduction act is at its core about turning the climate crisis into an economic opportunity. the inflation reduction act is spurring a wave of clean energy investments which will have significant positive spillovers across the globe. we're making our nation's largest investment in clean energy with the inflation reduction act. >> amazing how bold you get once it passes. senator joe manchin agreed to vote for it. he said democrats told him it would increase fossil fuel events. he is leading an effort to repeal the inflation reduction act. >> this piece of legislation was balanced. ten years, we are going to have enough fossil to run our country and help our allies and we'll also be investing in the new technology for the future. they have disregarded that completely, what was agreed upon. they know exactly what we agreed on. this was energy security. you have not heard energy security out of their mouth since it was passed. it is all about their environment. >> it was that senator that pulled that piece of legislation out of the dumpster and put it front and center. charles gasparino is the senior correspondent at fox business. you called this from day one, this was not going to touch inflation. are you surprised how bold they are now? >> i want the pulitzer prize for this but it was an easy call. i'm very dubious about what senator manchin said, he was misled. the only way you would be misled if you didn't read beyond the headline. if you read the whole thing, it literally is a massive corporate welfare package, $1.9 trillion to the green energy business and it is a big and growing business. if you said that and that's how you advertised it, and you vote for it, that's fine. but that's not what it is about. it is creating tax incentives for wind mills and electric vehicles. it believe that is that somehow is going to take down energy prices. would you just unpack this a little bit. do you really think that your grandma is going to be driving a tesla, which is very, very expensive. i ask you, the viewer, out there, they are not. do you think the average vote in west virginia is going to be. these teslas and evs are very expensive. you need oil and natural gas and you burn coal. that's the problem with the electric vehicle industry, disvery inefficient. say it and let's vote on something real. i don't believe joe manchin. let me tell you something. he really hurt his constituents on this. this is not a thing for him. >> he is trailing jim justice by 30%. >> the cbo said it will have a negligible impact. it is in distinguishable from zero. when the war will not do, says larry from black rock, is reduce inflation. that according to larry fink. we know it is not going to touch inflation. we are going to have all these terminals and wind mills and jobs coming into these cities and everyone is bidding on them. does that show that joe biden is right? >> here is what i would say. there is a good chance this is really going to increase in plagues. you have essentially incentivized an industry to go into the green industry. they subsidize the green industry and not drill for oil and promote fossil fuels. that will lead to relatively higher gas prices. it has to. >> i had to pay a fee to neil cavuto doesn't to borrow you. you have been worth every syllable. >> last week, mike bar ral testified that tony blinken played a role saying that hunter biden's laptop was russian disinformation. blink ken served the secretary of state and e-mailed with hunter biden. he held a meeting with him in july of 2015. charlie hurt is an opinion editor of "the washington times." he joins us to break this down. we are getting all this information and trying to put this puzzle together. blinken is all over this whether it is mike burrell get me 50 names or hunter biden. >> his fingerprints are all over it. it does underscore the idea of the deep state concept completely in bed with the biden campaign to get joe biden elected. whether it was the effort to cover up the miss deeds of the biden administration or cover up the phone calls and meetings between hunter biden and anthony blinken. >> his business partners are in and around the universe of hunter biden and his business. >> pointing the absolutely that joe biden has fold numerous times about how he did not, had no conversations with his son about his son's business dealings. we know that's all a lie. it goes much deeper than this. it reveals that you had a deputy secretary of state who was, as hunter biden had this no knowledge job working for burisma in ukraine. he is using hi father's influence. we don't know exactly what the subject of these meetings were. you can guarantee, figure out what some of those conversations were about. it really does. it underscores the degree to which the technicals of this deep state go everywhere. >> when joe biden looked into the camera and said, 51 intelligence officers said that is russian disinformation. he knew on that laptop it was his son's. if he was even curious, all he had to do was say, show me an e-mail. tony, did you call my son, hunter? did you e-mail my son, hunter, a couple of years ago? all anyone had to do was ask one person on the e-mail chain, is this you and they would know it is not russian disinformation. this was authentic. >> not only did joe biden know that the laptop was real at that point. a large majority of reporters working in washington knew that the laptop was real as well as all 51 of those intelligence officials. >> brian: look at the twitter files. they all know. they have until may 4th acetony blinken to answer some of these questions and come forward. this is what i get when i walk out the studio. i know what you are saying. i hear what you are saying. will anyone pay the price for this? will anyone be forced to admit they lied or forced out of office? we have a whistleblower coming forward on a different tact? >> one of the things that i think has been, sort of come up here talking about the far violations that are basically foreign lobbyists. >> without registering. >> the reason you have those in place is sort of so you can piece these things together. at the very least, a violation of those. i think politically speaking, it is a ticking time bomb for biden who just announced today that he is going to run for re-election. >> right. i saw the tape. thanks for not pointing out that my suit is way too short. i can see my whole cuff. normally, charlie hurt would have pointed that out. >> they are pretty cuff links. >> i think my arms are getting longer. >> thanks, charlie, thanks for extending your night. great job on "the five". anthony fauci is supposedly retired. he will not seem to go way. he is continuing to deny any responsibility for the covid lockdowns in our response. we'll talk about that next. take a wide shot. here in israel and across the former soviet union there are thousands of destitute, elderly jews who are alone and in need of basic food. ramzia is a holocaust survivor. she keeps saying my refridgerator is empty. she's embarrassed to ask for help. their need as you can see is extremely urgent. right now, you can give a gift of life of $25. the international fellowship of christians and jews will bring comfort and food to ramzia and thousands of others. ramzia has had such a hard life and to see this smile. you can save a life, just like ramzia. when you call right now, your gift's impact will be doubled to help save lives. i'm partnering with the international fellowship of christians and jews. this trusted ministry has given christians like me a way to tangibly bless jewish people who are in need around the world. a life-saving $25 gift helps send a volunteer with one urgently needed survival food box. when you call right now, your gift's impact will be doubled to help save lives. for less than one dollar a day you can say, "i will bless and comfort the jewish people". "i will save a life today". wherever in the world the jewish people have the greatest need our spiritual mandate is to feed the hungry and to care for the widows and orphans. please call or go online now and say, "i will bless his people israel". . so glad you are here. let's talk. tony fauci is out of office. he is very concerned about hess legacy, very defensive about his handling of the covid pandemic. i don't know why but kevin corke does and has the story. >> evening, brian, show me a school that i shut down,a factory that i shut down, never, i never did. if you can't dazzle them with brilliance, just baffle them with bull, some say critics who are accusing dr. anthony fauci of passing the buck during his recommendations for the pandemic. i gave a public health recommendation that echoed the cdc's recommendation and people made a decision based on that. i never criticized the people that had to make a decision one way or the other. fauci told americans that masking wasn't necessary and then said he was a big supporter of it. face coverings are all good, despite the fact that many scientists suggested it was ineffective. he also championed vaccines or therapeutics. it turns out they did not prevent anyone from getting covid. he also denied the lab leak in china was the origin of the virus, despite evidence to the contrary. he denied his and the u.s.'s role in gain of function research in wuhan despite evidence to the contrary. he said now he is open to a possible lab leak. he said the ever-changing nature of the evidence, it was nearly impossible to get everything right. that just may be the understatement of 2023, brian. >> brian: that was one of the longest stories i have ever read and you summarized it beautifully. no responsibility at all. thanks so much, kevin corke. >> brian: meanwhile, grocery bills are so expensive, one mom is now feeding bug toss her 18-month-old baby, giving her crickets instead of protein. i asked jimmy fayla to handle this bug story. this is true? >> yes, it is. what's more incredible. the mom is a food writer for chapter 11 magazine. who wants to eat this garbage? it is a real thing. >> brian: they went to asia, saw it and brought the magic back. she had something that was called scorpion on a stick. >> according to her own reporting, this kid wanted nothing to do with it. she started to sneak it into her pancakes and everything else. this sound like the origin story of a woke marvel movie. the kid was forced to eat bugs and now grew up to be antthem. the mom forcing this on the kid. they will never get asked to host a sleepover. here is the reality. we make fun of this. she is feeding the kid protein powder that is mass produced and bagged. a portion of society has latched on to this. i don't believe anybody pushing insect protein on people is doing it. you know how climate regulations, they all fly private. i think they are punking gullible people like this mom that will do it and they are flying off in their private jets laughing their butts off while you eat the beetles. >> brian: there are names for it, cricket puffs and they are ordering grasshoppers and crickets. she had a bag like you were buying cheese doodles. these people are nuts, kilmeades. >> brian: do you think there is a problem with meat and instead of saying stop having meat, they feel pressure to do something else. mayor adams said we are going to end meat use in the city. that's going to help subway crime. >> that pantless time traveler that just flashed himself on the "d" train, i feel better about him. this is the reality, these people with the environmentalism, as you know, have embraced this ace form of religion where they are trying to socially pressure it on to everybody. my kid eats the bugs. i want my kid to grow up to be a semi-sane person. i wouldn't want to believe that canadian would do something this dumb but they elected justin trudeau. >> brian: jimmy answered the call again with another great blazer that i would never race. >> don't knock the overweight figure skating collection. >> brian: who would actually dance with you? the music is an indication. jimmy falla, thank you. back in a moment. happy mother's day! oh my gosh! my mom deserves the best, and the best gifts are from harry and david. chocolate. yummy! cheese. gouda. wine. what's that? it's from harry and david. aww. thank you! >> brian: thanks for watching "fox news tonight." i'll be back here on fox news and friends. it's my privilege to toss over r the sean hannity who's already here to go according to all reports all reports. >> sean: reports are true. there's no excuse in the morning if you show up late. just because you work tonight. don't want to hear it. get a cup of coffee. >> brian: i will text you to tell you i'm on. >> sean: all right, brian. welcome to "hannity." a former cia director donald trump in the russian hoax. if you ever doubted it, there is a deep state, this is likely change your mind. investigative reporter john solomon, he'
