Sydney Roberts: New ASUC president shares her goals, inspira

From a young age, I participated in the Los Angeles Women’s March and read Audre Lorde religiously. The summer before my senior year I took part in Girls State, a week-long immersive summer program that teaches 500 young women from different corners of the nation how to govern imitation cities and states. Her first goal is to increase students' sense of belonging on campus, especially for those who are underrepresented. It is truly a melting pot of cultures, with a large and vibrant settlement of Filipinx and Hispanic people.
